Redside DFBs and low level Redside support. (Not much)
TraumaTrain replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Do me next! What does my avatar say about me? -
Nor should it, youngster!
-
@TrixieKixx for Pen Yin, you may mark me down for Workshop, Electrical Blazzzzt/Devices Blazzzzter. He brings the crackle.
-
Something Wicked Sunday I was engaging, entertaining, and enteresting! Nine successful bank jobs and four new Invaders, Vandals, and Impounders. (Six on the team, but a couple of us already had the badges.) The Atlas Park job was a bit too chaotic, but we came together quickly for the remainder. Well done, villains! Next week (August 1st) will be a run of Villain alignment tips and a morality mission for Something Wicked Sunday II. Again I'll be on Terror Volta. I'm picking certain tips that will bring a couple extra badges to the table. Any AT and level are fine. I'll probably run it at a little bit higher difficulty for the extra XPs.
-
Absolutely! Show up as a Vigilante, and end the day as a freshly minted Villain!
-
As a heads up, Terror Volta will be running 10 Villain alignment tip missions the following Sunday. (The Villain alignment Morality mission as well.)
-
@TrixieKixx Nope! You can be any level you like. The fun thing here is that you can actually get the Invader accolade at level 1 (if you wanted to turn your XPs off)! The earliest you can get the blue side equivalent, Task Force Commander, is level 35. So bring whoever you like. If they are Villain or Rogue alignment, your fresh new Invader badge will pop after the final bank job exploration badge. If you are Vigilante alignment, you'll have to visit Null the Gull afterward to switch alignments to have the badge finalize. Of course, if you're bringing a higher level blue sider who already has TFC, then your only benefit is nine new exploration badges.

Except ironclad beetles don't fly! 😞 😞 😞 Bug discrimination!!!!!

Aww... Beat-Down is still Beat-Down. He just changed his name. It's not the first time. He was originally Touche'. Same dude, just different names. The one from Six Paragons was National Justice, who I have not remade. National Defense is a completing different dude.
-
There is no more Beat-Down. He changed his name to Wreckin' Ball. This guy is National Defense in disguise.
-
@TrixieKixx mark me down for Ironclad Beetle, 50 Invulnerability/Super Stronk Beetle
-
@TrixieKixx tell me what AT you need me to bring, and I'll get buggy with it.

I recall one of the devs saying at one point it doesn't cost any more to run a bunch of servers, so they wouldn't be shutting Indom down for any economic reasons. I don't think they would force some kind of merge unless they had a solution to names. They know how important names are to players, and they (likely) don't want to alienate a bunch of us with a move like that. That seems counter to how they have been running the whole show thus far.

The reward was the friends you made along the way.

What are you guys doing to revive PvP? A suggestion.
TraumaTrain replied to Illy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yay PvP! -
Other sorts of things I have planned for Something Wicked Sundays include villain tip missions, rogue tip missions, red side Who Will Die arc, red side Pandora's Box arc, the various strike forces, giant monster hunts, the Family Raid raid in St. Martial, exploration badge tours, and defeat badge tours.

What about a Redside week... month... whatever?
TraumaTrain replied to Shenanigunner's topic in General Discussion
Indom is where I play. Indom, more than just red side, is where some love is needed. I challenge you to run some red on your server too! -
Check out my Something Wicked Sundays thread in the Indom forums. I'm going to be running some red side stuff on Sundays!

Starting this Sunday (July 25th), I will be running Something Wicked Sundays on Indomitable (where 98% of my characters are). My plan is to have some red side stuff going on Sundays. Check out my thread in the Indom forums if you're interested. -
I keep seeing threads about folks wanting more red side (best side) activity. Well, so do I! I also see threads about folks wanting more Indom activity. Well, so do I! I bring you Something Wicked Sundays! Sundays with red side villainous capers. I can't promise you every Sunday, but I'll post here from week to week what I have planned. If you want to join in, that's fantastic! I'll try to keep things so that anyone any level can participate. All are welcome. Something Wicked Sunday I. July 25th, 2021, noon EST. Mayhem Run. All nine of the mayhem mission bank jobs in order. The goals here will be to rob the bank, smash the smashies, crush the cars, and collect the exploration badges. (We'll ignore the side missions in order to keep moving along.) By the time we're through, you will have a few new badges you may not have had. This will include the Invader accolade, which is the red side equivalent of Task Force Commander. There will also be temp powers to gain. I will run this event on my dude Terror Volta, and we'll be in Port Oakes for the duration. If you are sure you're going to join in, you can post here and I'll save your spot. Otherwise, I'm just going to holler out in the LFG channel a little bit before starting.

I mostly play on Indom. Overall population is becoming more and more scarce, but I do see quite a few people running around the Isles. Probably all doing stuff solo. Calls for help with this or that usually get some response except from 6pm on (Hami raids followed by MSRs followed by I-trials. Daily.) I do have a couple villains on Excelsior, though. If you plan something, holler at me. I'll join with what I have.
-
@Snarky I too have recently started another solo, completionist red side character. For me, it is a Dark/Dark Defender. Count Nero. He's an out-of-time 1930s and 40s pulp sort of villain with roots in the early days of Arachnos - a story of betrayal by il Recluso himself. Somehow, Count Nero finds himself in the modern world and he waits for his opening to strike revenge on Lord Recluse. He knows someday he will turn Arachnos against him and usurp his throne. I just finished the three early Cap contacts this weekend. Then it's on to Ashley McKnight for Origin of Power, and the Invention tutorial at the university. At 15, I'll use Ouroboros to get Fire Wire, and then do the late Cap contacts and Seer Marino and, of course, the third Graves arc. I've been working at -1, with bosses, to slow XP gain down, but there is also quite a bit of turning it off altogether.

For the steampunk Silver Mantis, I'll either bring Rookery (War Mace/Willpower Scrapper), or Clockwork Dynamo, the Robotic Man (Electric/Electric Tanker). Whichever you think might be more useful in the team, @TrixieKixx Both are members of my Victorian era SG, Gentlemen Immortal. Rookery is a typical street tough enforcer who can fly via mechanical wings built by fellow teammate and inventrix Necessity. She also built his bulletproof vest and his Marvel Gauntlet, which increases the impact force of his billy club. (The peg leg is a tale for another time.) Clockwork Dynamo, the Robotic Man, was also one of Necessity's gizmos and was heralded as the world's first artificial man. He was otiginally unveiled at the Paragon City World's Fair in 1888 to the amazement of the international scientific community.

I won't be able to do this week. Next week for sure, though.
