Power Pool Powers that help with Endurance?
TraumaTrain replied to MikeSol's topic in General Discussion
I like Victory Rush, but it's usually like a level 49 power pick for me if there's nothing else. On a TF or defeat all, I use it as often as it is up. I do have an Empathy healer Defender where I picked Victory Rush pretty early on. Ran him on a Synapse TF this weekend, alternating it with Recovery Aura to keep my teammates fresh. -
I have a few characters, some very high level, who only use the temp jetpacks from the P2W. It's all about concept for me. (I'd love to see more jetpacks in the backpack options in costuming.)

All Villain! ALL Stalker! 8 man Hami DONE!!!!!
TraumaTrain replied to Gristlebone's topic in Torchbearer
Nice job, folks! Very impressive. -
Yes, absolutely. One other tidbit about tips. If you belong to an SG, and they have installed a Mission Computer in the base, you can use it to pick and choose tips from the whole list. Costs 1 Merit each.

First off, stay Hero for seven days and get an additional badge and the Call to Justice temp power. If you do a string of Vigilante tips and then the Vigilante morality mission, you'll get a couple more badges. Then stay Vigilante for seven days for one more badge and another temp power. Same for Rogue and Villain. When you get back to Hero, you'll get another badge... Come Full Circle. Note that each alignment temp power goes away once you get a new alignment. There are a couple other badges in the mix for defeating certain individuals in tip missions too. Love alignment missions.

Kracken Badge - Why am I not getting it?
TraumaTrain replied to MikeSol's topic in General Discussion
Yes. I'm not entirely sure what the minimum requirement is to get the merits. Quite possibly, you just might need to be in the zone. Or maybe just hit the monster for any damage at all. A few weeks ago, I was transiting through Talos when I spotted six Kronos titans by the tram station. Despite repeated requests, no one invited me to their team(s). I tried to add my low level might anyway. I got a whole boatload of merits but no badge. -
Have it include Rogue Island Police, for sure!

Kracken Badge - Why am I not getting it?
TraumaTrain replied to MikeSol's topic in General Discussion
Were you on the team, or solo? If solo, you may not have done enough damage to the beast on your own. -
Concept here as well.

Thanks for making something different and fun!

Ms. Liberty looks very sleepy.

Reading the wiki entry on werewolves, gives me a different idea of what's happening. "Werewolf World" is another dimensional Earth where Requiem succeeded and the place was invaded by nictus... nictuses... nictusi... (Whatever the plural is.) All that's left are werewolves and darkness. So this is some supposition on my part. I think when a nictus fragment infuses with a host, the usual result is a werewolf, which the Council call war wolves or nightwolves. Arakhn has discovered or engineered a way to create something else... the Galaxies. Going back to the Moonfire TF, successful infusion creates a Galaxy and unsuccessful infusion simply creates the standard thing: a werewolf. (This, of course, is all different from a warshade, which is a full nictus getting with a willing host.)
-
I think there is an important distinction between Council war wolves and werewolves. They use the same graphic/avatar. Werewolves might also count for the Silver Bullet, but im not positive on that. But I believe they are different from each other. War wolves are not werewolves, per se. What are they called on that map? Isn't the mission that people refer to as the werewolf dimension?
-
Something I learned recently playing through a Moonfire TF and reading all the text. Council Galaxies (which I wish we had a badge for defeating scads of) are the successful result of merging a nictus fragment with a person. I knew this already. What I didn't know, is that unsuccessful mergings are how war wolves are made.

An update for my Dark/Dark Defender Count Nero. Have not played him as much in the last couple weeks. He's currently in the second half of Cap (the 15-19 range). I used his Vahzzy citizen kidnap mission to get Shady/Shrouded on all of my toons. In the meantime, he's also been collecting his day jobs. Last weekend, someone actually ran a red side DFB, so I logged off who I was playing and got the Count his badges there.

I also thought Sonic/Invulnerability Sentinel.

And of course, the clone arc is alluded to later when you rescue Mr. G in your 30s+ if you "investigate the dying Praetoria." (That's not a euphemism for anything.)
-
Vincent Ross (Sharkhead) also has an extra dialog option if you don't introduce yourself until after completing Leonard. The extra option is also at the onset of introductions. It's a fun dialog option to select.
-
There is some parallelity going on between the two arcs. The villain, Protean, is the same, and he is obsessed with making clones of you for his nefarious purposes. One interesting tidbit. If you do Leonard's arc first, there is an extra little bit of dialog when you meet and begin Jenni Adair's arc.

Lots of fun again! Thank you all who came along. Thanks for the screen shots, @FrauleinMental and @Midnyte! LoL at Crystal Arrow as a rikti monkey I will have to skip running a Something Wicked Sunday next week (8/8) but we'll return again on the following Sunday. If that changes, I'll holler out here and make the adjustments. Something Wicked Sunday III. 8/15, noon EST. Tarikoss SF and zombie apocalypse! Tarikoss is the WST for double merits and potential Notice of the Well for 50s. The zombie apocalypse for some badges! Get the red out!

I think I have missed the summary to Trick Arrow changes. Can someone post a link to the proper thread please and thank you?

If City of Heroes were remade entirely today...
TraumaTrain replied to Thrythlind's topic in General Discussion
I would like a story that effects change. The story evolves and some new NPCs and arcs arrive while some old NPCs and arcs go away (maybe to Ouroboros). I want zone events that alter the zone for awhile depending on how the players responded to the event. Instead of, for example, a week of random Rikti invasions that few people bother with, I'd want one or two large, singular Rikti events that damage the streets and tear down buildings and leaves the zone in disarray... unless the heroes (or villains) showed up en masse to save the day (or thwart the invaders). Then, over the course of a month or more, you'd see construction crews repairing the streets and rebuilding. There could be missions where you help the effort as well. If the players managed to defeat the Rikti event, you'd get a RO (Rikti Origin) enhancement and badges galore, and the zone damage might be less. I want more supers and I want to fight more supers. I want random or faction-appropriate supers showing up in my missions or ambushes unannounced. I want to be clearing some Council cave in the middle of some story arc, for instance, and there's Vandal with some line about seeking revenge (if I had completed Citadel's TF) or some quip about having been at the right base at the right time or something. Or red side, when I steel the nullifier gun from Longbow and I trigger an ambush, I want a random chance that Ms. Liberty is going to jump me instead of just a couple dumb eagles.
