  1. On live, there were limited slots per server, so I had some alts on the French server. Will take me a while to do the same on Homecoming.
  2. I usually start a session soloing on my current project, while keeping one eye on the LFG channel for anything interesting. I will then either join with the current toon or switch to an appropriate alt. And while people usually aim to fill teams with the full 8, when we are struggling to fill those last spots, I am happy to run with a smaller group.
  3. I only started playing again earlier this year, but already have a couple of 50s and a bunch of alts. Alts give me options. For example, I am currently focused on levelling my brute to 50 - taking it slow by playing solo and for the most part avoiding the big xp earners. However, if I spot a TF forming, I may jump to another toon that needs that badge or is in the right level range. And if I see a Tinpex or other 50+ content going on, I will switch to one of the 50s to work on Incarnate levels.
  4. Currently focusing on getting Red Rag (Fire/Fire Brute) to 50, although there is still plenty of alting going on.
  5. Here's a couple of mine: Lead Hose - AR/Dev Blaster, wears grey tights, 'All the good superhero names were already taken!' Red Rag - Fire/Fire Brute, mutant with bull horns, hooves, and anger management issues. Cryo Magnon - Ice\Ice Tank, caveman frozen in ice plus cryogenics, what could possibly go wrong?
  6. My understanding is that Borea has reapeateble missions mainly for the purpose of farming Vanguard merits.
  7. XP boost - I find that I level toons way too quickly and feel like I outlevel zones in a blink of an eye. I know I can turn it off, but I would prefer to cruise to 50 rather than sprint.
  8. Here's the relevant part from official guidelines: Copyright Policy Use of copyrighted characters and content without permission is not permitted when creating characters or Architect content. This includes characters and stories from intellectual property belonging to any IP that is not City of Heroes. Additionally, creating copies of existing characters from the City of Heroes / Villains lore or naming your Supergroup after existing groups from the City of Heroes / Villains lore is not permitted. Use of these characters in Architect Entertainment and character backstories is permitted, and you are free to present yourself as a member of an existing group or portray your Supergroup as an offshoot or subdivision of an existing group, but you cannot portray yourself as owning or being in control of any existing group.
  9. Not sure what number we are on, but here's a few archetype rules: Blaster - keep getting ganked when aggroing the whole room? Target through the tank, he'll appreciate the help. Controller - when teaming at low levels, use tab to lock down as many enemies as possible with your single target holds Defender - team up Scrapper - you are not the tank Tanker - take Taunt, use it.
  10. Mapserver event. There were like 3 of us in PI broadcasting for an invite. Not sure if the main league had already moved on elsewhere, but nobody else was around so I just invited them to team and we finished it off.
  11. I'd like to nominate @Aeronaut. It's his damned fault I am back in Paragon City.
  12. Depends a bit on my mood, but usually one of the following: - Working on Incarnates for one of my 50s - Levelling a toon to 50 - Working on a new concept When I am online, I may then jump to another alt to do a TF or other team-up that comes up in the LFG channel.
  13. Ended up getting on a team for the missing badge. However, did take over a Posi2 when we had trouble starting it - one toon turned out to be too low level. Also formed a MS team when I realised there were only a couple of us all looking. Tick, done!
  14. Lead Hose, my main blaster, is AR/Dev and a reimagining of original live toon. When soloing, drop caltrops to keep melee enemies away, snipe and then hose down everything else in range of full auto, M30 grenade and flamethrower (this one does need range IOs). Tase or KB (snipe, buchsot, single shot) anything that survives the initial onslaught and gets too close. On teams, just hang back and blast. There is a risk of aggroing the entire room with full auto or the M30 grenade, but fortunately targeting through the tank still works to keep the aggro off and the combo of field operative and gun drone means drone is more likely to be targetted. A couple of recharges in gun drone also means you can even have two out for short periods of time.
  15. Hmm, Ninja Horse...Ninja Blade/Dark Armour Stalker?
