  1. Aren't you glad you got it though? I certainly could have just dismissed your comment as being stupid or something and not stuck up for your right to have the opinion you have. Many people, on this board included, would never do that for a contradictory opinion.
  2. I approve of your freedom to have a wrong opinion. But know that the stance you've decided to take is wrong and your missing the bigger picture because someone sometime in a position of power had a grudge against people not using his baby (AE) like he intended in a game where customization and choice is king.
  3. I want to make something clear, OP Farming builds do not do well in normal content. The spines/fire brutes everyone loves to run in AE? They don't generally do well against anything not Fire damage. So your statement is about half right. Having said that, there are OP builds that CAN farm. My arch/nin blaster being one of them. So you're statement should read 'You could always not roll that OP IOd Incarnate build or just stick to SOs if you want more challenge.'
  4. Hamidon has always been the best reward/time investment. It's a 20 min raid for 80 merits. I'm sorry for you people that like the 1 minute raid for 80 merits with no chance of failure, but that was wrong. It was amazing to zerg the first night to see it done with that many people. But it was wrong. Just wrong. My advice to you is to learn the raid, learn the strategy that's as old as most of you, and participate. On Justice, when we were firing on all cylinders and everyone was on their game, we could do Hami in 10 minutes. With the strategy. 10 minutes for 80 merits. And once you've learned the strategy, see if it can be improved, who knows might be able to get down to a 5 minute raid if you put your heads to it.
  5. Most of Justice landed on Excelsior. /chanjoin Excelsior Hami Raids nightly btw...
  6. Oh, I misread. Although if that's the concern it seems I'm guilty of reducing Fury a lot.
  7. Trust the farmers. Like foxy said, they keep supply high which helps keep prices down. The farmers trust you to run content when they look for content (you being the populace you, not the you I quoted) so trust them to do what needs to be done. And the marketeers aren't specifically the farmers remember. Farmers tend to just dump whatever out there they don't all marketeer. So trust the farmers, because every part of this ecosystem is just as important as the other parts.
  8. I will literally walk away from this game if that happens.
  9. No it's not hazy at all. We have the ability to make our characters as customizable as possible. If someone wants to be impervious to fire they can. And that's awesome, right up until they try to do a stf on that finely tuned farmer. They get their butts handed to them. And for what it's worth, I can have a Hami, stf, lrsf, done in roughly 45 mins. Flood the market with 3 hamis and never mind the inf gained from destroying all those mobs. Also known as farming. Just not in the AE. But I guess that's an exploit to? Maybe I'll just run Harvey's demon map and remain impervious to fire. Also farming. So no, your arguments don't hold water because if someone wants to solo, I've lost a potential teammate. Roleplayers hanging out in PD all day long? same thing. Base builders? No they can't leave their base to team and that is making people miss out on those perfectly designed bases because time doing content is not time spent building. it sounds like you, and lots of other people still have issues with live pricing. Do you know why prices were that way? No market from the beginning. People had tens of billions of inf when the market showed up and it's not that way now. So no, it's not an exploit. What you need to do is ignore it, because it really doesn't effect you. Converters are everywhere, ATOs cost 10 million from readily seeded superpacks. You can get any io you want within 10 conversions from just drops. Need a Hami? Go fricken Hami. But lay off the farmers because the situation now is nothing like it was before economy wise. And your heartfelt arguments don't change that.
  10. I think the game a me shaming needs to stop. Just because you feel farming is an exploit doesn't make it so. I feel base building hurts my pool of potential teammates for content I choose to run because some base builders will build for 12 hour stretches. See how silly that sounds? You people who enjoy basebuilding, you build those massive things, some days I get an urge and troll the forums for base codes just to have a look, not often but I do. You people who enjoy slaughtering mobs by the masses and making billions of inf doing so, you farm your heart out. Inf means nothing in the current economy and likely won't ever with the massive seeding going on. You people who enjoy bashing each other's skulls in Warburg, let me find you a bigger stick so you can bash harder. But it stop the game shaming. At the end of the day, of you don't like how someone plays the game, ultimately it's not your call and you have NO RIGHT to tell the farmers/base builders/pvpers/rpers/marketeers/badgers/content runners how to enjoy the game. And no, your math doesn't matter and neither does the way you feel about said activities.
  11. Um. Originally it was one target like scrappers and tanks were dipping into presence pool to get provoke to be able to do the job devs said they should do which is manage aggro. The devs changed tanker taunt power from single target to a provoke clone and removed the to hit check making it auto hit. Taunt has never hit more than 5 critters as an aoe. That's a fact because my OCD cringed everyone I could get to the 17 critter Agro cap and the loss of 3 taunt effects didn't math right. I argued at one point to lower it from 17 to 15 just so it was mathematically happy for my OCD.
  12. Hamikaze is still more than possible. But now it takes some planning. You wanna hamikaze? Make sure everyone knows it's a hamikaze and goes to warburg and loads up on nukes. Follow the same strategy as normal hamikaze except everyone fires off nukes first. Once all those nukes go, you can literally have the league set brawl to auto and are almost guaranteed a win. Otherwise, be glad your doing weakened hami instead of pre I9 hami where each raid takes 2+ hours and you have the sinking feeling that a yellow dawn is imminent. Cause honestly, until you've spent the 5+ hours clearing a yellow dawn, you shouldn't be complaining. (And yes, it took us 5+ hours one night to clear, and we stayed and cleared it because we didn't want to be the group that didn't clean up their mess, plus there was an afternoon raid scheduled the next day.)
  13. @Captain Powerhousealmost literally what you did. Except instead of increasing everyone's DPS, that tank DPS increased marginally to compensate for the same thing. And not only that, with the higher cap and a team willing to funnel into the tank, the DPS can increase farther resulting in a higher team DPS overall. So exactly the same thing. I kinda feel like I'm the only one on board with these changes. I got your back CP.
  14. Agreed, but that's where most balance is done at.
  15. In an SO world, this is exactly what you want, more differentiation between the two ATs. And it's already there, these changes will generally only effect much higher level gameplay. They will have a marginal effect on SO gameplay, but not enough to disturb the current balance.
  16. Nerfing another AT is out of the question to bring a different AT up to par.
  17. I honestly have no idea how to even play a dom lol. Never had one so I don't know where they fit in that chart.
  18. No, this won't happen. These changes aren't the drastic increase they are being made out to be. Damage will still be blaster > scrapper > stalker > brute > controller > defender > tank . Trust me guys, this isn't as high an increase as you think.
  19. @macskullis completely right on this. This isn't a damage buff like you guys are thinking it is. It will result in a minor, very minor damage increase when solo or in teams that don't have damage buffing capabilities or smallish buffing capabilities.
  20. Minor point, brutes do not share tank HP. Tankers have higher HP all around naturally and afaik a higher hp cap.
  21. There is no way a tank can eat enough reds, or generate enough insps to combine, to maintain the full damage cap when their initial starting point is so low and the cap is so high. I can barely get the damage cap on my brute farmer and can only maintain the damage cap on my farming blaster for minutes at a time. It's just not gonna be as big a deal as you might think.
  22. Damage cap does not equal damage increase. All it means is that if a team with damage buffs wants to invest in the tank then the tank will do more damage. It's the flip side of the coin of teams investing in a brutes survivability with force fields or the awesome ice shield.
