Another problem these games will have is the longer HC operates the harder it will be for them to get people to jump ship. HC is close to the 3rd year anniversary. Many folks like myself have invested a lot of time here. I’m not going to start over on something that is the same with maybe a new coat of paint. It would have to be a huge improvement to even get me interested. I’ll continue to support the people that brought us here and improve the game, not some fly by nights who don’t have the same level of passion for these games that should have been out by now.

Sounds like you really need to learn how to play this game before sharing your pearls of wisdom.

I would image that your role and reputation on a server would also have an effect on how much you play certain characters. SG leaders, trial-raid leaders, RP’ers, and PvP’er might all fall into this.

Maybe they are dressing it up to try to get more cash investments. In any event with CoH back, looks like that ship has sailed (pun intended).

Well I for one will be glad to see this sale come to an end. Part of my marketing strategy is the Winter IO's and this sale screws up the winter market for a few months.

People are teaming all the time, this is very much an MMO. It's also a solo friendly MMO, so it's not painful to solo like old school MMO's. I've played a lot of MMO's and this is by far and away the best teaming experience I've had in any of them. With so many AT's and power combos, not two teams are ever the same. Sure some teams are better than others, but anything can work and it's fun just mixing up all those powers.

There does seem to be a stupid ton of people begging to be PL’d. If they would make an effort to get their own farmer PL’d they wouldn’t need to beg for a farm again. But like you said, you can lead a horse to water.

One thing to keep in mind is that the dev team is a small group of volunteers. With limited time and resources they can only do so much at a time. Getting the latest update “Page 3” ready is the focus right now.

You might want to try using KB -> KD’s in some of those Storm powers, makes a major difference.

Or if you start a thread complaining about something, you engage in the debate you started. This thread is a perfect example, the OP starts it and only responded once on the first page then poof disappears like a fart in the wind.

I think the current system is fine. First come first serve and you own the name. There are plenty of names I would have liked to have gotten, and many I did get. I would rather have this then dozens of the same name running around. Just got to get creative sometimes. One consolation is the population on HC is smaller then live so there are probably many good names still not in use.

Interesting how the OP comes in here and creates these posts complaining about something and then bails on the thread while everyone else takes him seriously and keeps debating.

Once you understand you can use a level 25 basic IO (which never needs to be upgraded) and is almost the same as a level 50 SO, you shouldn't use anything but basic and set IO's post level 22. Unless you like paying to upgrade all those SO's all the way to level 50.

It can also randomly turn you into a Rikti Monkey as well.

Very impressive for sure, and only a 2 bloom clear. Of course that wasn’t because the game is so easy any 8 man stalker team can take down the hami. That would have to be well planned and executed.

As one of Excelsior's hami raid leaders I doubt very much this ever happened. So I searched the Excelsior forums and couldn't find it. Maybe my search-fu is weak, so if you have the link please do share. I would love to hear how they pulled that off.

Also goes to show you, it’s not the amount of influence in the system that causes inflation it’s how people use it.

Excelsior has a 10pm (EST) hami raid everyday. Doesn’t always get advertised because it fills pretty fast. On Everlasting they do daily raids at 7pm, 10pm and midnight. Torchbearer does has a daily raid at 7pm.

Hami raids are done everyday.

The 0 would be the character you want on top of the list, then 1, 2 ect. It is the same with costume slots when using the costume change command, the first costume slot is 0.
