  1. I concur no bug -- I did that arc yesterday. Vidiot maps is helpful to find your way around in the tunnels.
  2. Depending on your slotting priorities and/or your faith in FF:+recharge procs you may find you have attacks you don't need. In specific, jawbreaker or pulverize may not be needed along side clobber/shatter. If that works out though, you can't pass on pulverize, so you'd have to pass on jawbreaker.
  3. Its worth noting that, if your secondary has you covered, you don't need to keep parry/divine avalanche up. In fact you don't even have to take those powers (they are low damage). I wouldn't disqualify kat just because of that. I would disqualify bs because its kinda ... lackluster compared to katana, which is funny since originally that was the other way around (until devs revisited katana back in around-early-cov era, I think?) WM is good stuff. If you weren't a scrapper I would suggest stone melee. Similarly crunchy feeling to WM. Not as good on the damage side, but VERY survivable because of the KD/KU in the set. Good AoE radiuses, so you don't have to be real particular about aiming them.

    SM/Bio help

Stone is heavy on the mitigation, but probably needs some numbers tuned upwards in terms of damage and downward in terms of animations. I loved it paired with ElA on live as it gave ElA that mitigation it was lacking (before energize healed you). I was notably less squishy than a SS/ElA a friend had, although I did less damage than he did. Not a huge amount and it wasn't a huge deal, unless we were looking at purples or deep purples. With bio it might let you otherwise run in offensive when you'd normally have to drop back to efficient or defensive. I don't know if that'd make up the damage gap. It'd help, at least. You can skip hurl and taunt. I don't know if you can skip one of the early single target powers. If you can it'll be respeccing out of it late once you have set IOs and recharge well in hand. You want fault (if for nothing else to cast it on an oversized AV like Bat'Zul and be able to fill the room with the graphics (its HUGE!!!!) and make awful, "oops sorry my fault" dad-jokes) and seismic and tremor.

    Shields...

Here's a WM/SD I've been playing up from the noob levels. It is very fun and super crunchy when applied to enemies. Mine is 17, so this is aspirational. I've kicked hasten in and out of the build. All the plain "knockback" IOs should be the FF chance for +rech (or kb to kd in shatter if you find that a bother). The reason hasten is out is because you have solid ST chain without it in pulverize/jawbreaker/clobber (optionally: shatter, but its slow animation) and a solid AoE chain in WM/CC/Shatter. Neither of those needs hasten, so I opted for other powers instead. You could probably reslot whirling mace with a set with more recharge focus and AoE on just WM/CC alone, turning Shatter redundant. It does suck the blue bar though. The recovery temp power from pay2win makes it suck less, as does slotting (full) scrapper sets early. I figure unslotters are cheap on the market, I can pull a slot eventually when that's relevant. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1435;651;1302;HEX;| |78DA6594594F135114C767BA508196520A2D05BA61D90A96567D914512450C480D8| |6288F38B4173ADAB44D5B8D3CFA297C724B5C5FFC20C6E59308461F5DEA61FEFF16| |939934F9CD59EE39FF39F7DEE61FAD7A3F5C7FBCA2E97D57CB46A3B1BB5DA81BB59| |AAA7B6E1ACD0775A3ACC9E3DEC9CF6FAF7AE42DDC0EEFE65559A9CC8E216F4641C5| |3BFE55B5AF2A0D95D92E99AA5C6C9B9A77AB5A2D67369551332B073ECB58330F4A4| |DB1FCED5051D51B25B316B0ECF5CA43B361EE9965B37918B856330B992BD5E2A134| |6B3455FD7058B4A44EF484343E2DB7B62FC8B9B4AE03D05B02FB4CF21ED87F1FECF| |109756BAD533B7222760C0EFC207F82C321A64A1FFDAECBF2396650C7B107DB5520| |8B6097027BA58F937D9C6BA837B84E6E80A11BA05772DDC875BBE7503F440E87251| |015DED12D3B769BBC058E88460F357A3EA2DE995D31A7849F60F77C26BFB0DF57D0| |277DBBB156EB9E45BFB014EBA5AFB7258F16910E3E78741FB312649F04FCBA6E65F| |B93F08D497E808A020BE894582497C0E43279199C5AE144A47B10937004FBF18573| |83E410A84BCE10150E590A9DE20973D6E179549ACC915976380F46455D84EA22DCC| |B91A7D8B39167E0D873F205187BC93D963EA3EC334A7529AA4B05C149AA1C90DC28| |72B528271393DE71F68E5F7260020BE0D94572895C0653D41890498F73EDF82FC4D| |2BFC1737FC8BF640B9C6FAF152D139CEA0475A7A93BDDD62BF5A739D5699EBDA0AC| |9BE5B99C7D859A73AF59FB0DF916CCBD23DF837EA997E1F76762BC83E2CBD2976D9| |F1657E72ECBEF6437E3AECE0D6DA56DD1ACCD93B3792ED83C176D9E4D9B67CBD5B9| |ED9A6E798E7BFEFBAFD8D0AD3B35B34E26719E6612E0D1692EEB7D3FF538B404BE7| |68ACC3DC194BED956FD03F39ADEE4| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

I have a kid. Sometimes I just need to AFK instantly. I'm not PL'in others so no biggie. Running Musc/Ageless/Reactive (historical).
  7. The mechanics of the build don't seem to favor brute. I don't know if the shield charge damage gets fury (is it a pet drop?). If it does, you're charging in after the last pack and potentially at a lower fury. Shield isn't a hp-based set, so the higher base/max doesn't matter much. It isn't going to hit scrapper resist caps, much less brute, outside of one with the shield.
  8. I don't use rad smash (unslotted) -- atom smasher, burn, and ball lightning. If those are recharging you should be using the time to pop build up/fusion/reds. If all of that is recharging, toss electric fences or consume. Or use the ranged attack to smack something nearby and drag it in to the fire.
  9. I'll try to remember to dig it up when I get back home later today...
  10. I had both BS/SD and BA/SD back on live and so wanting something different(ish), I made a WM/SD. Sure, he's only level 14, but it is highly satisfying. Smash quality right up there with stone melee, IMO.
  11. I have both a rad/fire and spines/fire, both well equipped (superior, purples, etc). I find the rad/fire better overall -- easier to play well, faster, feels better, etc. I slot differently and don't have the build convenient to show how, but its not a radical difference. Do get/make some insp combining to reds keybind chains. Those are a bigger deal for speeding your farm up than a lot of the build stuff probably.
  12. Some further commentary: Electric Armor: Your defense is to power sink the mobs out of blue. Plan to take mu mastery for spammable AoE extra -end effects. Plan to have a secondary that buys you time to apply power sink twice to tougher targets. Stone Melee (heavy knockdown), Dark Melee (self heal), and similar effects. Bio/Willpower benefit from IOs more than "pure" sets, because you get more value from taking a "moderate" hp/regen or def or res stat up by x% via the unique IOs than doing that on a starting-from-0 set (eg, most everything else). Possible honorable mention of diversity to Rad (because of the -tohit aura)?
  13. Without end redux in any power, if you do the math, your attacks generally cost more endurance per second (presuming you are keeping them cycling and not leaving them sit, ready to use) than your shields or damage aura. That means end redux there give you more benefit than in the shields. Both is better, but pre-22, that's not usually an option. (heck, pre-32 even!)
  14. Oddly, I feel that over the long term the inf supply is going to go up (*) and drive prices up. *: Unless the devs do something about it by giving people a place to effectively and usefully spend it.
  15. To fix the AT problems you'd have to have powers do radically different things in PvE vs PvP. That doesn't strike me as a winning combination. Powers behaving different in PvE vs PvP is damage to the game design, IMO. Also, there's the whole "toxic pvp community" problem.
  16. PvP balance has no place in a PvE game. Too many games have been ruined trying to find that balance. Let it go.
  17. Titan has no feeling of smash. The numbers might be great, but there's no satisfaction in it. Even in a set with kinda meh numbers (stone melee), the smash factor is excellent (speaking as someone who mained a SM/ElA brute redside with a SM/Fire brute as well tailored specifically to batzul grid-ghosting). Titan has awkward animations, some of which look wrong on sharp things, and some of which look wrong on dull things, so no matter what you pick, something's going to look wrong on it. IMO. Your artistic and smash preferences may vary.
  18. Which doesn't invalidate copyright, if he wants to issue a takedown. No offense, but IMO mids time is past. The UI is ... challenging at times. It would be much better as a web app, similar to the old suckerpunch one, but able to do some of the calculations that mids does. I wouldn't start from either, I'd start fresh and focus on user experience. IMO. IANAFED. (I Am Not A Front End Developer)
  19. Fighting, Speed, and Flight are only 3 pools. There's still one spare for maneuvers? Or are you saying you want fly but not hover and so you lose the def from that pool you'd normally get? I'm pretty sure given the new attuned winter/summer/AT/whatever enhancements that soft cap is really just a matter of money for most builds. I'd worry more that hover/flight will interact poorly with foot stomp -- does "near the ground" work or do you need to be on the ground?
  20. I had that slotted, back on live. I don't remember if I confirmed with the combat stats window if that actually added defense debuff resistance as it was years ago, but it should be easy to test. Since that is a number that mids reports in view totals I would assume it is right.
  21. End redux in active defense is wrong. That's a clicky, not a toggle. It burns 10.4 end every 120 seconds IF you have it perma. That build doesn't, it has it every 200 seconds. So that's about 0.05 EPS without slotting end redux. That's less than combat jumping, by the way (0.07). You're a tank. You want to not get mezzed. Three slots, all recharge. You can respec it down to 2 slots when you hit 50 and have better IOs/otherwise have enough +rech it is perma... but note that it is also def debuff resist, which mids *claims* is boosted by def slotting. You might say, "but it doesn't take def!" which you're right... unless they are a def/rech/tohit hammieO.
  22. The 90% fire res on a brute isn't enough. It needs def to go with it as well for the standard AE fire farms. 75% on a scrapper is going to need that def more than a brute. There's just too much incoming damage not to have most attacks miss. 90% res / 15% def was still "if I don't have a purple up, I die fast. If I have only one small purple up I die slowly." I've gotten further slotting and am now in the mid to high 20s native defense and it makes a world of difference. (I also did .. something that fixed up my end problems. Could be switched to energy mastery. Could be set slotting. Not sure what but the speed difference of not having to monitor blue and eat pills is huge.) Honestly it might be easier to survive the farm on a non-fire-aura character, because you can take something like SR or Shield and get great def out the gate and there's a fair amount of fire +res kicking around in sets, especially purple sets. The problem is you'd give up burn. With shield charge that is less bad, but shield charge's recharge is forever and a day in a farm situation (or at least feels like it) even if you have a lot of +rech slotted and global.
  23. Rad/Fire is a fine farm build. I've got one of those and a spines/fire. Spines might be faster overall, but rad isn't bad.
  24. With how fast pods of mobs go down, there's not much point to dropping a debuff on them, unless you can anchor the debuff on a mob like rad defenders do. I don't think that's an option in any of the brute patron pools.
  25. Slotting priority is acc > end > rech > damage. Once you have SO-level slotting (via SO or IOs at 25) you can start to back off on the acc and end (no point in over-accing, nor over-ending. Note this can happen earlier than 25, depending on circumstances. Do you always duo with a support type who buffs your $stat?). Once you can maintain a 90% full fury bar, you can back off on the rech. Rationale: fury when full is +200% damage. Slotting damage EDs out at +100% damage. Missed attacks don't build fury, so slot acc. Taking a knee saps fury, so slot end redux. More attacks builds fury, so slot rech (also, take that fast-cycling first attack until you have a full attack chain, then respect out of it!). Once all those finish, then you slot damage to get +300% against your base damage.
