Well, most of my favorites are in that bottom tier of popularity but can do amazing things. While my spines/dark/dark brute doesn't farm as fast as say my spines/fire/elec brute I can waltz onto a carnie mission, forget I had my settings at +4/8 and my /dark can still mostly waltz through the mission whereas my /fire faceplants within a couple groups. Also, if you haven't rolled a stone/shield (proc monster) brute . . . Do it. . . so much fun. Vet level 1000?!?!?! Someone does not share my ADHD!

So the Proc Monster Defender thread had me thinking about utilizing a similar scope with my trollers. I have to say, my Grav/Dark troller seemed to be an ideal candidate and after running her up to 48 she has been a monster thus far. I am not sure if I am gimping myself slightly with all the procs but she has been an absolute blast to play and have been soloing +3/+8 since late 30's (after picking up Fissure and strategically using inspirations). While TTK is definitely a bit slow, I cant seem to die unless I screw something up by not paying any attention whatsoever. Still testing her out but so far, in all my years playing this game (7 year vert during original run), she has to be the most fun I have ever had - and this from someone who hated Grav in the original release. If you are a numbers cruncher happy to hear what the procs add or take away on the build but so far she is a monster - just not sure if the procs (other than FF + recharge and knockdown to knockback IOs) are helping at all. Also, any open slot is the SA proc which isn't in my edition of Pine's - and I cannot get the new version of Mids to work on my computer for some reason. Awww, I just saw this when I logged into the game today and came to the forums to donate only to see it has been met. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to relive the glory of the City! It is silly for a grown man to miss a game so much but the last couple days have been crazy good to me. . . It has been a rough road the last few years and this truly has made my day. I hope we can keep it going for a long time and when the time comes I am happy to contribute my share to keeping the server lights on!

Welcome to the family! I was a 7-8 year vet in the original - joined shortly after the GDN (Global Defense Nerf) and played until the lights went out. Was the first, best, and only MMO that I played. Seeing a new server pop up was awesome and frustrating since none of us are sure how long it will last but enjoy your time. If you want some tips from an old timer: 1) Try out different ATs until you find one you enjoy 2) Once you find your favorite AT try out different power sets 3) Once you find your favorite powerset explore the pool powers 4) Level normally - new missions were added towards the end of CoX's run and were quite fun - especially with a group (cutscenes are hysterical) 5) Some zones are way harder than others and some have much better storylines (Crotoa is a favorite of mine as is Grandville on the red side) 6) Dont be afraid to ask questions - yes while some people are trolls most of the community loves newbs) 7) Have fun! Dont Leroy Jenkins when on a team! And always hug your healer!

Wow, the actual BillZ back online. . . BillZ you wouldn't remember me but you were the first person I met ingame right after I joined (right after the GDN). You dropped some influence on my first character - Reigning Darke - and mentored me along the way. Thanks for all you have done and hope to see you back in game!

Went from Justice to Freedom where I housed my 24 mains. . . Led Incarnate raids and before Incarnates was usually running the PA drop on Hami. Oh how I have missed this game and while I am a doubter - as in i dont believe this will be a long running home - I am overjoyed to be back in my beloved city. I had so many scrappers. . . Until Brutes came about. . . Then I had so many brutes. . . Then this weekend rerolled my main scrapper to a spines/dark brute (always a dream of mine and finally realized). . . At level 16 with only a handful of DOE (forgot about how hard it was to be poor) I could run +0/+3 and have no issues (other than END). Oh the joy. . . and the crushing sorry. . . Let me reroll and play please!!!
