Lvl 50 Boosts, Retcons & Incarnate RecipesShardWarrior replied to LightningDrone's topic in Suggestions & Feedback You would lose any badges you had earned. Other than that I agree, just re-roll.

Lvl 50 Boosts, Retcons & Incarnate RecipesShardWarrior replied to LightningDrone's topic in Suggestions & Feedback I do not think either is really needed to be quite honest. I would not be against having a level 50 token that gets unlocked through acquiring certain badges and stuff by actually playing the game, however even that is more work than just using AE now.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback That was my point. I do not necessarily disagree with regard to XP or inf, however those are not the only rewards in the game. To my knowledge, you cannot farm the various NPCs in AE that are required for defeat badges to unlock certain Accolades which grant all manner of buffs, no matter how much farming you do in AE missions. I am not so sure there is less of an investment. If you peruse the various build forums, some of the shared builds for fire farming are quite expensive, especially those that are including multiple complete Winter IO sets. I have spent less on my scrappers, tanks and brutes that I run outside of AE and there is not really anything in the game at +4x8 that gives them any trouble.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback Several of my characters had no issue blowing through content even after ED and GDN, my Regen scrapper being the primary (and most infuriating) exception in this instance. Once I made adjustments, I could go on playing as I did before. I do not know what characters you had, but many of my scrappers and brutes had no problems burning through NPCs outside of AE. Maybe it is just me, but I believe that any well planned build regardless of AT really has no issue farming Council maps outside of AE.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback You were able to build essentially immortal characters prior to IOs and AE ever existing.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback To be honest, I stopped reading your reply after this. As I said, people are farming all kinds of maps for all kinds of things and none of the anti-farm crowd seems to bat an eye. I seriously doubt that the original Devs intended for "normal" maps to be used to farm for defeat badges, xp or whatever. Anyway, you go right ahead and label me as one of those evil farmers if that is what makes you feel better, even though you really know nothing about me. It is more than abundantly clear you are one of those narcissists who steadfastly believe how you define how people should play is the "right way". From my experience, there is no rational, civil discourse with anyone like this, so good day to you. You can build and fine tune characters that essentially cannot be killed by any NPC outside of AE.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback I do remember them trying to ban accounts for power leveling, but that was done before AE as well as I recall. I also still say that farming existed since day one of the game, so to blame AE as the root cause of farming is not accurate. At least to me, using AE for farming is no different than farming prior to the introduction of AE. The PI portal missions that people used for farms before AE still exist in game today, so even if AE were to disappear tomorrow, players would just migrate back to those maps and farming/power leveling would go merrily on. People are farming all kinds of non-AE maps for defeat badges to unlock accolades and such.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback I am not defensive at all. I am just pointing out that saying AE is being "misused" by farming is not accurate. Nor is changing XP in or removing AE going to solve the issue many people perceive it to be causing. There is a select group here who seem to believe AE is the big bad boogeyman ruining the game. It is not, nor has it ever. As I said, people farmed long before there was an AE and there is still a large amount of farming done outside of it to this day.

Many of the TFs and SFs need Updating. Can we do this?ShardWarrior replied to EyeLuvBooks's topic in Suggestions & Feedback Synapse and Citadel could benefit from a makeover in my opinion. Both are just dreadful slogs with all their "defeat all" maps.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback Maps that were (and still are) used for farming before AE even existed were not intended as farms either, but people still used them as such. People use non-AE maps for farming all kinds of things. You see these being advertised on a daily basis in LFG. Really just about any mission can be farmed, so should we eliminate every single mission in the game? I do not think the developers from back in the day were so naive as to think no one would create farms in AE. Did they do things to curtail it? Sure, but that was when the game was a for-profit venture and they had a vested interest in player retention for financial reasons. That no longer exists here. I would also say again, removing AE will not eliminate farming nor will it do anything to improve player competency. I completely understand some people take issue with farming in general. There is nothing wrong with that, however I do believe people should not begrudge others who enjoy farming. If that is what makes them happy and what keeps them playing, then more power to them. If you do not like it or do not want to hear from people looking for farms, use the ignore feature to ignore them. You will never have to see their chat again.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AEShardWarrior replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback AE can be totally removed from the game and it will not serve to improve player competence at all. As I have said in other threads, I personally have encountered far more people leveling their low level characters who have no clue what they are doing than I do people who are playing known PLed characters. Removing AE would not stop farming either. People will just go back to farming Council radios or other maps that were used prior to AE being implemented. Farms existed long before there was an AE, so calling farming in AE and "exploit" is being melodramatic.

Perhaps I missed something, but have the people here stopped developing future content? If not, is there no plans at all to ever add any level 50+ content in the future? I had thought I heard there were some Incarnate level missions coming in January. Perhaps I am mistaken. As for people "being rude to their fellow players", that is just nonsense. I have teamed with a great many people playing their low level characters who do not have a clue what they are doing. Playing the "right way" is no guarantee.

So saddened to hear about his passing. I did not know him in real life, but knew him for many years back on live. I was delighted to reconnect with him here again on Homecoming. We both have a couple of alts in our respective SGs and shared many a fun adventure teaming together, impressing each other with our base creations and having wonderful conversations about all kinds of topics, especially his passion with language. Truly a kind soul and one of the nicest, most sincere people I had the pleasure of meeting. May you rest in peace Steve. My heartfelt condolences to your loved ones and friends. Paragon City will not be the same without you.

Who exactly determines who is or is not a "pillar of the community"? I can without question assure you, the few people here who fancy themselves as these are absolutely nowhere near it. In fact, from my personal experience most all who think they are are as far from being a pillar of the community as one can possibly be. That includes a few of the GMs and developers. Communities are made up of many different kinds of people with many different views. Rather than dismissing each other or trying to force others to "fall in line", use empathy, patience and tolerance. Those are what help a community bond and grow.

I am not sure where/how you are getting any of this from my or other posts here that this would be a simple project to do. It is discussing an idea, nothing more. I said nothing even remotely close to what you are trying to inject into my post. Last I checked, this is a suggestion and ideas forum where ideas/suggestions/wishes are encouraged to be shared and welcome to be discussed. I certainly am not making any demands this get added to the schedule of things to do.
-
Can you please show me where the words "not complicated" or "easy to do" show up in my post? I never suggested anything of the sort. I am a programmer by trade, so believe me, I understand the complexities of intricate code. Regardless of complexity or stability, code can be altered. No one is making any demands here, just discussing a suggestion.
-
So alter the code that a base can only be exported if all storage bins are empty. The code already will not allow you to delete a storage bin if it contains items, so the code knows whether or not a storage item is empty. Just disable the export button until it knows everything is empty, then allow it for export.
-
Yes please! Would love to be able to do this.

This is an issue for the UI as well. I notice that I cannot click and drag items from (in my inventory or in the base editor) the far right of my screen at 4K resolution.
-
My situation was no different other than I was not in it for roleplaying. It was just a base that I had built that I had no use for. I was also selling it for in game currency or purple recipes, nothing outside the CoC. I guess the GM staff here have different standards for different people, which comes as no surprise to me to be honest. Glad you were able to get what you were after with this! Hope you met some great fellow players. Beautiful base by the way! Nicely done.
