  1. Need something that's not as forgiving on endurance usage, and Elec is probably more forgiving than WP.
  2. agreed, and the resistance caps also.
  3. see i thought that too, but i tested it solo and it still does it.
  4. Then what is the point of these threads at this point when its just rehashing the same crap with a ton of unfounded opinion and nothing to back them up? at some point it should be locked unless people just like the roundabout chicken fight on the mopeds. there is no new data, nobody is testing this anymore its just a bunch of arguing that could be avoided simply by locking it. i guess i just like to be hands on and theres way too much knee jerking on here in this thread right now with nothing to back it up.
  5. It is a feedback thread on changes, if you haven't tested the changes, you couldn't possibly have feedback.
  6. How many people commenting on this thread now has actually tested the tanks or brutes on Beta to see this change isn't game breaking for tanks or brutes? Seriously if you haven't rolled any or if all you have rolled is /ss you really shouldn't be commenting on how it will break the game cause it won't. My first worry was nerfing the brute dmg cap would hurt brutes mainly in a farm environment - I tested this to be false its not noticeable. And if it's not noticeable under extreme circumstances like that it won't be on normal teaming for sure. My second concern was the tank aoe and dmg increase would make them the pick of the litter and superior to brutes. I have tested this on 5 types of tank SJ, SS, psi, rad, and Warmace. I did that because I have experience with other ATs with those sets and wanted to see how the change affected tanks with those sets. Each one was improved but not to the point I feel it went anything past putting the tank in parity with brutes it definately didn't outdamage my blaster - any of them, and on rad and psi I would likely stick with those on brutes. SS is good but it's still either feast or famine due to rage and were it not for my first ever character being a invul/ss I probably wouldnt play it because of how rage makes it quirky. I much prefer SJ on tanks - IMO that's the most fun tank set now on main servers or Beta - but even on Beta the changes were noticeable but not to the point I would have felt any differently about how it played before or after the changes the changes just bring it in parity with how the game is focused. Warmace I would honestly leave on my Scrappers, maybe it's because I am familiar with it there, but either way it felt better there to me. None of these changes would make me want to roll a tank by default. To me it felt like a big hitter on the team teaching minions who is boss just throwing them all off of him. Where as a brute feels very much targeted - burning hard targets down and obliterating the masses once rolling - more of a focused intensity. They both accomplish a role, different ways, neither at this point IMO would outstrip any other AT, and you can't use farming as an example of brutes popularity still. I get that this largely based on my opinion and perception, But until you test this, guessing on what you think will happen to anything is unjustified. Give homecoming team time, and credit for giving 2 craps to do this for us in the first place, because honestly all the back and forth and round and round - myself included would make me want to walk away from this.
  7. Yeah like I said it's minor, usually only 1-3 baddies, and they don't go far but definately outside AOE range. If I hadn't had the experience on live of it just being the knockdown it probably wouldn't bother me honestly.
  8. yeah agreed, i remember when i first noticed it i said, "since when did footstomp KB", and a sg mate said it has KB in it, so i looked at mids and sure enough it says Footstomp has KB according to the mids description, and granted its not horrible KB but its enough to make you chase mobs sometimes.
  9. Its actually an invul/ss tank
  10. On mids the foot stomp description says it does KB not kd. Could be a misprint, but it matches my experience.
  11. Get the heck out of here!!!! thats awesome my friend. I've been looking for anyone I knew on live for months... Ah it does my heart good to see you. Hows your brother? And will you please come team with us on excelsior?
  12. Obliteration
  13. I'm not just speaking out of my rear here, for me it does KB and that's slotting it with a normal damage set. I've seen it happen all the time. It's not across the room or anything but it does KB enough to be annoying. And if you would like to see how often it does it against level 54s I can show you. Kd is a lesser magnitude of KB. But it doesn't take much to get it to KB anymore with footstomp for some reason. I don't remember it being this way on live either.
  14. As an avid energy melee'er from days of yore I can confirm this.
  15. Still have lots of room avail for people looking for a home, help, good times, and nightly adventures.
  16. And there isnt one thing wrong with that because its 2ATs with a similar mission, with slightly different playstyles that will accomplish the same goal now with parity. No, it doesnt make them brutes, it makes them better tankers with better alignment with where the games focus currently is both will have parity with a role that is accomplished by both in similar but slightly different means.
  17. Granted I'm only basing my opinion based on my experience with elec armor and invul. On my fully iod out tw/elec brute I had endurance issues to where if I didn't have power sink I would end up in trouble if I was in a long protracted fight. I have 3 other varieties of elec armor brutes that do not have that issue, in fact I never use power sink on them and could probably respec out of it. With invul I have similar invul.X builds and vs the same Elec.x builds invul pulls a lot more end.
  18. That was my experience as well on brutes, I hate TW because of my brute experience. Never tried it on anything else. That's very subjective, I believe with certain primaries, it's better than other sets. However sets with no endurance management it can be a downright nightmare. If you pair it with willpower or Elec Rumor it excels, but both of those have + recovery and + recharge also on Elec.. I believe it is one of the best sets but those sets almost have to meet certain criteria to get it there otherwise it's a slow clunky end hog that leaves you high and dry and stuck in long animations frequently then your end drops. I'm not a fan of TW, I definately don't think its the best, but thats my personal preference. I'm a die hard street justice guy now believe it or not. lol. Before that it was psi, and before that it was rad. You already know most of this, and I still think the outlier numbers dont add up to TW being the premium choice in every event. I'm not trying to negate the work you have done either, in fact I wanted to help you more but have been too busy. You have done awesome work there but it's only a brief snapshot or snippet of every situation TW could face, and the testing environment favors TW. Until you or others run other defense sets with it that aren't optimal you really don't have a true result.
  19. Not only that, but honestly, I am better set up now on homecoming than I ever was on live, and have been since June really. I have more level 50s Bigger bases Bigger SG About 15 billion influence - probably 25 if you factor in my wife also. More themed characters. I would feel threatened if someone told me I had to go back to my live stuff. lol
  20. Hang on a sec, does focused accuracy still do to hit debuff resistance too?
  21. Heh, do the last mission in the dream doctors arc and say that.
  22. Yeah there is not likely to be any recovery of old account items. But The great thing about Homecoming is its really easy to rebuild it back. I now have 3 times as many level 50s than I had on live including rebuilding my the ones I had on live - which are now IOd out better than they were on live because its easier to obtain all the cool stuff to deck them out with.
  23. For that matter they could do something along the lines of crushing uppercut on combo 3 in terms of damage and have the old animation or something like sweeping cross. Granted the old ET was probably too OP in several ways, but changing it broke the set from a feel perspective. what we have now isn't very punchy feeling whereas before it was. I like street justice a lot, basically because it brings back the feel of the old EM, and it's not as strong as EM was even by a long shot.
  24. Yeah it was more the new animation that broke the feel of the set than what it actually did in terms of damage and activation.
  25. if you go shield and street justice, pair it with ageless radial for destiny and you wont need a heal, ever. use mighty radial for the judgement and its an awesome combo with street justice and shield. pop combat readiness shield charge the mob, crushing uppercut before readiness and combat level drops will ko the boss then finish the mob off with mighty radial. if they could bottle that it would be awesomesauce.
