We need more votes! -
We're up and levellin' folks! Valkyrie's better side:-) (btw, ain't NO one getting us confused in a police lineup--check out them colors!):-)

Early morning run with Craney. Tried to farm some Raiders again in TV. Got my arse handed to me. If only I had... an angel on my shoulder? (Went SJing back to tram and happened to land here. Honestly didn't know this was here.)
-
Like 9 out of 10 times. Maybe because I'm running full-on redside. Anyway, I got tired of that, so: Say hello to my little friends... But, seriously--I never had so many naughty results. I feel like somebody be up to sumpin'.

Okay, I'm all in for "We have a few issues," if and when it kicks off. Tutorial and level 3. Sam Meanwell is off to hit snake holes (eventually).:-) Yeah, that's my ride. Nah, Recluse don't mind if I borrow it.

Woot! Lvl 24. Now maybe I can go to TV and finish off that Raider culling mish (we'll not speak of what happened the first time I tried). I am a GOD! (or not...yet...)

Bunkered myself in the writing shed for a few days and knocked this out. If you've played the whole thing, I am hoping it will be a satisfying capstone. Vaya con Guacamole. Crane

I guess the redside version of this would be “We have a few issues.” That’s near when I came in, actually. I got the Good vs. Evil edition with the free jump pack and Pocket D TP.

I managed to get some endurance reduction SOs in some of Craney’s powers. He’s huffing and puffing a lot less now. Of course, now I’m broke. Again.:-/
-
I’ll be logging some Cranebump time this coming week. Now that I’m 20+, really need to take on old Pos.
-
UHmmmm, sounds like that person is a “rules lawyer.” Guess there must’ve been a bit of cross pollination from the ol’ tabletop. (sings thread title to tune of Girls on Film)

Change of plans. If we have Marcus Welby, then this take on classic "medicine" fits right in: Say hello to "Trapper Juan" (Ice/Rad Troller). [replacement for Azbot]
-
Ah. Tanking. So THAT'S what that is.:-)
-
Lil shot of some of the gang in action: I'm a-kickin', Marcus is a-healin', and Tanker is a...hmmm what is Tanker doin'?:-)

All I'll say on that subject is this--and this is simply an observation, not an indictment against fast-tracking or min-maxing -- If you play the game without the P2W stuff, it is more than sufficiently balanced in terms of challenge. I rediscovered this while playing a new character in "Classic Challenge" mode. Other than REALLY missing travel at lower levels, it has proven to be a revelation, since my newbie is running without 8-hours of bought buffs, plus DfB buffs, plus Sands/Staff, grenades, or whatever else I might buy off the bat (not to mention using jet pack to gather Atlas exploration (and Galaxy Echo), resulting in 10 early merits I can cash in. That said, not everyone wants that mode of play. And that's fine. What's not quite as fine would be for me to trash the game's inherent challenge/balance, which I've mitigated with all my widgets. You can create your own form of "balance," and that's cool.

It’s 2020–everything is triggered.:-)

Funny. I was thinking the same thing. Might be time to roll out the Assistance/Support/Service Bot, the first Rad/Rad I ever made. Be on the lookout for Azbot! (Because ASS-bot is a bridge too far for me).:-)

December Dev's Choice and Holiday AE Contest Winners
cranebump replied to GM Vayek's topic in Mission Architect
Thanks, Sparky. Appreciated. -
I ended up trudging slowly forward, avoided KBing targets "north," but instead to sides ("east/west"). Got close enough to grab both barrels, avoiding a big fight with what would've been a pretty big group of blues. Blues, yes, but all that toxic would've been a bear! (NOTE: Vahz minions don't always react to what's happening right next to them).

This is something that formerly wouldn't give me pause. But now: That's one crowded-arse hallway... And on a semi-related note: Slower pace allows time to consider character development. Having run all these Sky arcs (and still having Engles in my queue), and all that work against the Vahz, and beating up Lost gangs, I've decided ol' Crane here lives in Sky. I had written a basic ID description for him, but I'm going to revisit that, working in these early experiences. I had the typical "bored, rich kid." Now I'm thinking, "Maybe not." I'll have to figure out where he got some of his gear, but, as far as his origin/powers are MA/SR, he doesn't have to have a barrel of chemicals on him or anything. Now, as for super jump...hmmm, where did he get dem boots?

That's what you get for being all smart and stuff!:-)

Soooooooo true. No training wheels. I fought small groups of yellow Tsoo in some solo mishes, and got my health ganked a few times. Inspirations count. No rez? Hospital, buddy, 'cause you can't combine 3 into anything. On the other side of the zone, and don't wanna run back? Take the "hospital" teleport (I'm looking at you Boomtown).:-) Simply not using Ouro, or Mission TP, or any of the travel shortcuts, opens up an entirely different world. Even back on live, I NEVER ran this much content out of Skyway. I don't think I'm going back to full on bells & whistles, but I might go with "Classic Lite," so I can run Athletic/Ninja run, etc., on toons that thematically, should have it. For example. ol' Cranebump up there is MA/SR. I really didn't want to take SJ as his travel, since I see him as "low to the ground." But that doesn't fit the challenge, so, c'est la vie. It's still a great tradeoff.
