RIP.........HULK HOGAN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!
Dynamo-Joe replied to Voltor's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
Damn. I guess we're all out of the 50s, 60s and 70s celebs and stars for the most part. Now we're getting into the 80s and hitting the childhoods of kids who grew up in that era with the heartbreak. (I consider myself partially a child of the 80s. I sort of straddle the line. Graduated High School in 84. So really - my childhood was mid 70s through mid 80s.) The Hulkster came to prominence in the 80s. I've never been into wrestling. But even I know the really big names. And he was the BIGGEST. The LOUDEST. And the MOST AMERICAN. Even a non-fan of wrestling like me couldn't help but notice the larger than life persona. How perfectly over-the-top Hulk Hogan was. It was a style. A mood. The 80s was the loudest, most over-the-top decade of America. And Hulk Hogan was one of the LOUDEST parts of it all. And one of the most American and Patriotic. That almost seems out of place these days. And it's sad that it should be so. First the Prince of Darkness - Ozzy Osbourne. Now Hulk Hogan. And Malcolm Jamal Warner earlier. This has been a week of heartbreak. I too have heard this stuff comes in threes. Are we done with this for at least the next month or so? -
Addendum - I learned today that when Ozzy had his genome sequenced (because of course he did), they found that he had a number of previously unknown mutations, including one that gave him a much higher tolerance for alcohol. So yeah. Add "Mutant" to the list of Ozzy Osbourne's traits. As if we didn't already suspect that all along.

3 December 1948 – 22 July 2025 I wasn't the biggest fan of the OZ. But as the years went on I respected what he'd done more and more. Not ALL of it. You don't get a moniker like "The Prince of Darkness" and NOT have a dark side. He screwed a few people over here and there. But the music industry as a whole tends to do that. So... yeah. That happened. More to the point. As Razor points out in the following video - no one - absolutely NO ONE. Ever remotely SOUNDED like him! EVER. One of God's own prototypes. Too fast to live. Too weird to die... well - at least until now. And Keith Richards gets another "Hey look who I outlived!" on his running tally.

Can confirm. Just found that spot as well. I wonder how long that's been there?

This song popped INSTANTLY into my mind while reading this!!

Apparently the following video is a follow-up on the one I posted the link to - here: New Video:
-
Oh - I guess I could follow that up by saying there's ANOTHER dilapidated Gas Station in Praetoria in the Northwestern Sector of the 15-20 Zone - the one with Keyes Reactors. The Reactors are in the south and the gas station is in the far northwest of that map. And if you want a REAL adventure - there's even one more in the wild space outside of Pocket D. And I know how to get there. 😆
-
I can answer that question - it's on the "Red" side of the Kallisti Wharf zone. If you're looking at the overhead map, it's in the South-eastern (lower right) corner of the map.

Texture Mod - Blast = Succubus Shredded
Dynamo-Joe replied to Dynamo-Joe's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
It's now uploaded/installed/part of the City Mod Installer system. -
Thanks! I think I've got it properly uploaded to the Modder now. Edit: Confirmed it works via proper download and install from the Modder in-game.
-
Does not work for me. Will not send a verification email.

I tried to add a new mod. But I can't see how to add it automatically. The forum link is here:

If you want to show even more of a battle-damaged look to your costume or if you wish to make a Demonic/Succubus like character that matches the Circle of Thorns Succubus NPCS or - if you just like to live life a little more dangerously in general, then this mod will help. I found the texture file for the Succubus tights pattern and made a "Blast" pattern replacement for it. Note - Male lower body does not have a full bare skin tights option (that I'm aware of). So it'll be of more use for just the top part. Though I've included what the bottom will look like anyway here. Standard Blast Pattern Unmodded: Blast Pattern with the "Succubus" pattern replacement texture file: (I haven't done a mod since the Daft Punk Pocket D music mod. And we were using straight up data folder mods back then. So I'm unsure if I've done this right. I might need some help on this.) SuccubusBlastPattern.pigg

Add To Queue: Non-Cape Movie Recommendations
Dynamo-Joe replied to ThaOGDreamWeaver's topic in Off-Topic
Two films that you THINK are about racing. But really - they are about so much more. First - RUSH Next - not to be outdone - Ford Vs Ferrari Both films are FAR Deeper than you might think. Rivals and Friends. Fathers and sons. Honor and Glory. Friendships that stand when everything else goes to hell. They are perfect bookends to each other. You want a movie night with a shared theme that your significant other isn't expecting to like, but will LOVE? These two films will absolutely wind up as favorites. -
Salute to you, sir. I've been on quite a few of the raids and iTrials that you led. Rest well. But I do expect to see you again. You just need to get past the burnout. I cycle through a handful of games myself. I understand this process. I stave it off for weeks and months with my game cycle and other things. You've staved it off for YEARS at this point. It will take a long time to not feel that on return. Go play other games. Go catch up on reading books or comics. Watch movies from your bucket list. Heck - go travelling in the really REAL world! Take pictures! Also - come back to the forums and say hello even if you don't log into the game. Share what's going on with your life. People here care about you. You've made friends. Post pictures. Tell people what's going on. Your friends care. I recommend not going complete hermit. That's my recommendation. And I don't even know you that well.

I think this is the best version of Captain Azure Dupree so far. The cyber-eye is still a bit on the weird side. But it'll do.
-
Oh... I see your bet. And raise you... Alucard from Hellsing into Twilight. Just for the memes.

I found this bit of amusement on Quora by someone named Jonathan Glen: I bet you could find an excuse to have a scene like that work in an upcoming Spider-Man film. I think you'd HAVE to play it as comedy - and homage at the same time. A comedic callback if you will. And it totally goes with the light-hearted Spider-Man portrayed by Tom Holland! Almost "Jackie Chan as Spider-Man" if you get my meaning!

That complete lack of hesitation at the end there IS A MOOD!!! Also - this is a reminder that the REAL challenge to writing good supervillains is to make their goals either unachievable via normal means, or to make the money gathering only the TINIEST part of the overall plan! 😆
