  1. Me too. Combat Jumping getting removed would be my deal breaker change for any version of City of Heroes. I hate playing without it.
  2. This is the results from 9-25, clearly those of us that don't want Hasten changed are speaking the will of the people, so we win.
  3. And I would be one of those. If there is a change that will impact literally every character of mine, how it benefits me will be my priority. On the other hand I'll have a TW Scrapper at 50 today or tomorrow. If that were nerfed I wouldn't be a fan, but it wouldn't be a big deal to me as it only impacts one of my characters. Plus such a massive change would have a negative impact that I believe people would quit over it. I wouldn't, but many would. And the HC server could also get a bad reputation from what many would perceive as a massive nerf. And that could very well offset any overall game balance positive from such a change. Perception matters, and this is a change that would not go over well
  4. The only difference between now and any point in the past is with the internet it is easier to express offense. That's it. People were every bit as offended at every point in history, but lacked the tools to share it with any significant amount of people.
  5. This isn't a bad idea as the only downside is the constant activation. Maybe endurance too, but I don't care about that. If we move some percentage from Hasten to an inherent buff, and keep everything else the same, I don't see any downside.
  6. True. But we're not talking about something relatively new like Titan Weapons. We're talking about something that has been here from the start as a significant part of the game. I want to know how changing Hasten in the ways described would benefit me.
  7. I’m also all for permadom. My Dark/Stone Dom is fun as hell to play.
  8. I don't disagree. But the ship has sailed on Hasten.
  9. So I know you're joking and this would obviously be terrible if it were to happen. But I would prefer that to removing hasten and accepting a nerf on my global recharge.
  10. I have. Until a suggestion means I keep a global recharge bonus of 70%, it's a bad idea. If it requires more effort(meaning more global recharge) to keep that 70%, it's a bad idea. If I have to respec to keep my perma hasten levels of global recharge, it's a bad idea. When it comes to nerfing Hasten, I'm out. Any change to Hasten that has a negative impact on any of my characters, is a bad idea. I have no interest in helping anybody tweak their terrible idea, because we have different goals. It's a waste of my time and theirs. I'm against changes that will negatively impact every single one of my characters.
  11. Many people did. It's less recharge and that makes it a nerf.
  12. No I haven't. When I want a challenge I do things like try and solo a Master ITF with a Blaster. I'm 1 for 4.
  13. Any change to Hasten that results in any lesser performance for any of my characters I am wholly against. Why would I ever go for something that would have a negative impact on every character I have? If the net result is less than 70% global recharge at all times, it's a hard pass. I like my characters as they are, and I don't see the benefit to less recharge.
  14. Theae are good ideas, thank you both. I'll be looking at this when I get home from work.
  15. More supply is unequivocally a good thing.
  16. This would be a nerf to every single one of my characters so I'm against all negative changes to hasten.
  17. It's a balance. Build diversity is good and people that like tweaking the get just a bit more out of builds is good too. I get some people want to feel decent or good or uber powerful without feeling they need certain powers, and I support changes that will appeal to the broader audience. I just don't want it to get to the point in which Mid's is worthless. Not that this proposed change would get us there or put us on the path that to that. Really just wanted to throw out my preferences. Plus some changes can make better builds more accessible to more people while giving me other ways to maximize performance. Though this isn't my business and nobody asked for my input(because that has every stopped me), I don't think Steampunkette is bs'ing anyone. I've disagreed with her plenty over the years, so this is something I have experience with.
  18. I'm going to disagree here to an extent. I'm not opposed to making things better for the casual player that, in general that's a good thing. But making such sacrifices and tweaking my build to eak out 10% extra recharge, or DPS, or 2% defense is something I enjoy immensely about this game. So I would be opposed to something that overly simplifies it.
  19. The effect is more supply, which is a good thing. Yes the farmers have more influence, but they either spend it which transfers it to other players, or hoard it, which effectively takes it out of play. Also playing the market is every bit as efficient. I've had over a billion in profit in the last 48 hours. This includes bidding, crafting, converting, and selling. It took maybe two hours of in game time while I was half focused watching TV. Dedicated farmers playing non stop can make more, but they also have to invest significantly more in game time.
  20. I don't expect a suggestion like this to be implemented, though I wouldn't complain if it was. But I like these suggestions as they help balance out the calls for nerfs, and I firmly believe those should be drowned out by opposing suggestions and ideas as much as possible.
  21. I mean it's currently not legal(assuming there isn't some sort of temp agreement already). But this change could very well help HC become legal.
  22. I already play with Super Speed during combat on multiple characters, so I love this idea. I would absolutely abuse it.
  23. At risk of derailment, Superior Spider-Man was awesome. Amazing even. It dragged a little during vol 3 or 4(I forget, been a few years), but I loved it.
