  1. I don't need to provide any metric or be more specific. Nobody in this discussion has access to any hard data or metrics on the subject, and you know that. So dismissing opinions on the subject for that reason is a disingenuous tactic.
  2. I stalled in the low 40s and never really came up with a finished build that I recall. I'll look in my folder when I get home, but I don't think I have one.
  3. Positron made his giant whiny post about AE powerleveling and exploiting and a lot of people bought in.
  4. My admittedly selfish opinion is that the stacking Rage issue is delaying it being on Scrappers, so I'm all about your suggestion.
  5. I realize this may not be possible at all, but I would like hurl to be a narrow cone, but if it hits an enemy it can't knockdown it breaks up and does minor splash damage to the enemies around who it hits. If every enemy in the cone gets knocked down then it doesn't do any splash damage.
  6. I don't think the rate of how often people asks for buffs vs nerfs is really that important, and I also don't believe any numbers are going to change people's minds on what they really care about, that either the game is too fast, too slow, or just about right when it comes to leveling and the ease/difficulty of various things. For example, the call for broad sweeping nerfs stick out to me the most because I am strongly opposed to that as it would significantly impact me and my level of fun. The calls for making things easier in some way I don't give much attention to, because I think the game is overall in a good spot. I think most of such suggestions are unnecessary, but there would be little to no immediate negative impact on me. Therefore I just don't care about those suggestions since I could either ignore or take advantage of such things depending on what I feel benefits me and my playtime. edit: I'm not sure that my post brings anything of substance to the discussion. I just wanted to point out what my priority was and what I really care about on the subject of massive nerfs to my experience. I think more people should stop trying to reason with the people that try to control the fun of others and dismiss them instead.
  7. See my previous statement on the matter, there's nothing more to discuss as far as my views on the topic are concerned. I was very intentional in word choice.
  8. I really wish people would either quit suggesting removing things, like AE, they don't like simply to force other people to play how they demand. Either that or I wish those people would quit playing the game. If you don't like that someone spends all or the majority of their time in AE or farms, it doesn't matter. How you feel simply doesn't matter when it comes to how someone else enjoys the game since they aren't harassing or abusing other people.
  9. I'm going to create Turd Sandwich and run for Mayor of Paragon City.
  10. I get where yall are coming from, and it's a fair concern. But as someone that played exclusively on pugs on Freedom, I never noticed this actually being a problem of any significance. Now obviously my experience isn't universal and that certainly doesn't mean it never happened. I just think this problem has always been talked about more than actually happened, it kinda took a life of its own. In all fairness, he's right.
  11. If the only way to get people to play user created stories in AE is to eliminate the competition, then those user created stories simply aren't good enough. Which is ok, most people are nothing special when it comes to creating content. The problem is a lot of people seem to think they are when in reality their ideas and stories are easily replaced. Your idea is terrible. People really need to stop trying to ruin other people's fun. And if by well established you mean that you constantly tell us, then sure.
  12. Be careful what you wish for. Forcing or pushing people to interact more may not have the intended result.
  13. This sounds like a potentially fun combo. I don't have a build to share, but I may try to roll one this weekend. If I do and come up with a rough draft, I'll share it.
  14. This is a fantastic suggestion! I'm going to do this on all of my characters ASAP. To add to this, repeating the first DA arc can be done quickly and as many times as you want without a cool down, so it's a great way to get some Incarnate components. If set to -1x8 I've cleared it in under ten minutes, though only that fast one time. 11-13 minutes is relatively easy to do if you move fast and learn what mobs matter for completion and figure out the general spawn points for glowies.
  15. The drop rate might be higher for bosses, that I'm not sure about.
  16. The fee is 10% of the selling price, with 5% of the listing price paid up front.
  17. Purples drop from minions and lieutenants too
  18. My counter to your analogue is There's Something About Mary. Have it all.
  19. I should clarify, when I say I'm all for it if that is what a bunch of people want. Personally I think it's unnecessary since XP is so easy to come by in various ways. I like the balance we have now. I can PL to 50 in a few hours if I want, solo at the old rate, or solo quickly with double XP. In my opinion the only option that I think would really benefit the game is a slider option to vary xp to any percentage between zero and two hundred.
  20. I'm all for boosting the XP on normal content if that is what people want. But I don't like the idea of removing/nerfing AE(that's how the first post came across to me).
  21. I think it will generally get easier/less time intensive the more you do it. But making an absolutely maxed character is never what I consider quick since towards the end of the process we're talking about tenths of a percentage here and there. I generally have a few go to sets and unique IOs I use on most to all characters so that makes it a bit quicker. For general level 50s I'll try to get 50-80% recharge and 20-30% defense to a category or two and that is more than enough for most content. If after the big bump that gives me I really like the character, then I'll look into really tweaking the build to maximize everything. Also sometimes I'll just take a build directly from the forums and adjust a few things here and there to my liking and go with it. That saves a ton of time, and quite often gives me a new way to approach my goals.
  22. Super Strength, Energy Melee, and especially Stone Melee for Scrappers.
  23. Along with Super Strength and Energy Melee, we need Stone Melee! After using it on my Dom, I need to play this on a Scrapper.
  24. That is an excellent first post.
  25. I was not aware it said this. Good suggestion, I agree.
