  1. Dictate as in tell the team what to do. Tanks that do that are a waste of time. Or both the mobs could be wiped by the time they are gathered together. But that is team dependent, so it can vary wildly. Either way waiting on herding is boring. Especially if it's done frequently.
  2. Yes, standing around not fighting while someone gathers a ton of enemies is slow and inefficient. And boring. I said dictate, not set. If the tank sets a good pace for the team, cool. If a tank dictates to everyone how fast the team will move, that person is a control freak and waste of time.
  3. Yes. But the stacking damage buff will net you more damage on a Scrapper compared to the double hit.
  4. That person is an ass. But credit to you, you were nicer than I would have been too the person. My schedule and playtime varies randomly, but I'll gladly let you sit in on a few farm runs if you ever see me in game @MunkiLord
  5. Ok, so I've come up with what I think my next respec is going to look like. I'm dropping Haunt in favor of Fissure. I like Haunt, I just find myself not really using it much unless I'm fighting an EB. If I could figure out a way to keep it without losing any defense or more than 5-6% recharge I'd keep it, but this has become a rather tight build. Suggestions, thoughts? 6. PvP recipes can do pretty well even if the proc or set bonuses aren't what the majority would consider great. If I'm looking for new things I'll generally start there.
  7. In this scenario snot would be the sauce. The proper toppings to compliment it would depend on thickness and color.
  8. There are only a few absolutes in life and they are all related to food. Pineapple on pizza goes in the same category as sour cream, mayo, and peas, disgusting. On the other hand items such as jalapenos, mustard, and onions deserve to be basic food groups.
  9. Agreed, I was just giving my thoughts on what I consider the Brutes biggest advantage over a Scrapper. Many, if not most, will likely value the extra hp and resistance more and I don't think they are wrong. But I took Provoke on my Archery Blaster, so I love aggro.
  10. In the vast majority of content the extra resist cap doesn't mean too much, but it is nice. The thing that really pushes Brutes over the top, in my opinion, is their better taunt auras and aggro management compared to Scrappers. Teammates close the survivability and damage difference quite a bit, but they can't help Scrappers hold aggro.
  11. I would want this as an Incarnate respec trial. Similar idea to Terra Volta respecs, but less lame. I'm sure someone more better at writing could come up with all kinds of story reasons to make this work. One successful trial would give the ability to respec one Incarnate power. So if you want to do all six, run it six times.
  12. Before I decided to make my own farmer, I'd make a starting offer of 20 million per run on the big troll cave map, but honestly I'd pay whatever they wanted because influence is so easy to come by. A good chunk of people will do it for free even if you offer to pay. But if they didn't want influence and I got a purple drop or something else valuable I gave it to them anyway as a thanks. While door sitting I'd either be working on a build, general web browsing, watching TV, or playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Since I finally made a farmer a few weeks ago I haven't paid or door sat on another person's farm.
  13. Honestly, I don't have a favorite. So long as the tank isn't attempting to dictate the pace to everyone else on the team, I don't care. I don't even look at teammates powersets.
  14. I generally slot two recharge and the proc. But this thread is making me rethink that to one recharge and the proc. Edit: Talking about slotting Stalkers in the Scrapper forums is weird. I see now I'm in the wrong place. It's my smart day.
  15. And because the Eagles. BOO EAGLES
  16. For ease, especially in solo play, I think Scrappers are generally better. You'll do more damage and have the same base defense and resistance. Brutes have more HP and higher caps on the secondary.
  17. It's been said it will happen, Rage will changed for the port, but no further information or timetable given.
  18. Just launch the game a second time and you can have it running twice. You'll have to log in to different accounts though. You can't log into the same account twice.
  19. At this point buying Purples is just as effective as converters.
  20. Make it a difficult task force and disallow Incarnate powers during it and I'm in. That sounds like fun.
  21. Can I take real money to be someone's in game hype man?
  22. I have an Energy/TA at 38 right now, so I'm very interested how this plays out. I like Super Speed, so a lot of times I'll take Hasten no matter what. But with /TA's movement and recharge boosts, skipping both Hasten and Super Speed is something I'm starting to consider.
  23. I was recently turned down for a TF because the leader didn't want more CC(I was a Dom), they wanted support in the form of a Corruptor or Defender. No big deal, I said ok and did my own thing. Then after a few more minutes of asking in LFG they weren't able to find what they wanted so the person sent me an invite. I declined, not out of anger, but because I don't like teaming with people in general content that try to build specific team compositions. So for me and my tastes, I think the game is very much better off the way it's headed. I don't turn down people because of AT because I think it's lame, it's first come first serve. But I'll be honest, I am never excited about a Tank wanting to join(but I always say yes). Them getting some more damage and more AoE has me interested and if these changes go live, I will look forward to a Tank joining my team for the first time in well over a decade.
