  1. A regen epic power pool for those ATs that don't get regen..
  2. @Tsukosorry. i meant the in-game text that is misleading.
  3. excellent I love the roller peg legs
  4. I love it. It is so simple and yet flabbergasting. (errors in text don't help and should be documented for cleanup) Where do you put your purples? As with much of the game, it depends.. Wherever we can while still achieving build goals. Keep in mind not all uber builds exemplar well. Purples always work.
  5. @Judasace Is it possible to merge all content? No.. and yet they did find a way, but your first sentence suggests removing it. The health of the game may not be helped by watering it down. (more zones/more contacts/more under played content)
  6. Come on man, while you may not have intended it, this is a lot of bad advice. This game is not all about max level. (My richest character is level 1. My favorite character is level locked at 32) Low level earning ratios are easier than ever. It could be expectations that need to be reset. Reward Merits are a huge boost for new characters. BB, seriously? You can do better than this. Get character to cap is simply insulting to someone struggling at lower levels. Doubling down on that with "listen to us" when providing subjectively bad advice.. come on man. Edit: It was nice to see you offer to play with them.
  7. I agree with Billz. There is so much information out there, new player guides should be easiest to find.
  8. City of Heroes/City of Villains - easy and ironic. Perhaps someone thinks they are doing it correctly. When results are lacking it is important to consider all possibilities even that the issue could be standing in the mirror. Good players, tanks and defenders especially are highly prized. Really good ones do more that just play meat shield, damage sponge or heal buff bot. fyi - Single Origin enhancements might (they are) be better at lower levels and less expensive on the market.
  9. @Bopper that's my bad.. it was late and I failed to explain my question. There are no perfect power sets. This is by design. Building a godlike power set would be easy. Creating a puzzle with choices that need to be weighed and obstacles to over come as a set progresses is part of the secret sauce. My question was really what are the suggestions weaknesses, can they be over come, are there any hard choices? Because maybe I missed something. I am willing to concede that if I did. In my opinion, as a whole, the suggestion looks like power creep and the dumbing down of a set that does not currently find itself at the bottom of the pile. Which takes me full circle to: It doesn't really matter if the suggestions are good or bad, this level of impact on a good set won't happen, and really at best this is advocating for a new power set.
  10. There's a fine line between making an adjustment and overreach. I do appreciate your tolerance for differing opinions. Maybe you @modest or @Bopper can explain the weaknesses in the proposed?
  11. as I said to the same topic in March: ..nope I'll rephrase that March comment as: Such changes aren't going to happen. You might have a better chance at creating a new power set with the way you think it should be. and, again from March I am not saying the ideas are bad or good. It's just not Super Reflexes. Trying to take unique sets and generic them to match other sets... well, I do take issue with trying to make different power sets homogeneous. I also still feel this suggestion is a bit disingenuous. Your claim: 'this isn't really a change' but presenting suggestions that move powers, delete powers, and add new powers.

    Barn animals
  13. New costume for Stone Armor.. oh..

  15. My understanding was #1 the effects would only apply to the pet except where the pet applies an effect on the player, and #2 the results would be less predictable. The above commentator's link indicates differently. Confirmation would be appreciated. "Dark Servant has eccentricities that you can take advantage of when building. First off, it's not considered a pet nor a damage power, despite acting like both. You can heal and buff it like a pet, but curiously it's considered a "Special Range Debuff." So, with that in mind, something you'll want to do with Dark Servant is slot it with every damage proc you can find. Regardless of what kind of damage proc it is, it will have a chance to trigger of the Dark Servant does anything (e.g. the damage procs from the Hold enhancement sets can trigger even when the Dark Servant does a heal). This can turn Dark Servant into a potent damage power in addition to the support and control it provides."
  16. Take offense if you like. It may be wise to keep some perspective and remember our participation is voluntary. Remember this person: In my opinion that point in the game shown above is where more effort should be focused, less so mega marketers, farmers, PLers, min-maxers, etc.. they are doing just fine. (full disclosure: I fit some of those descriptions) { mini rant alert } However, the advice provided even to new folks often leans toward shortcuts and advanced play. This makes sense, folks sharing said advice are excited to help. In this regard we are our own worst enemy. A lot of knowledge in this game is tribal. One player passes it to another who then passes it on to another. It's not one act that is the perpetrator. The reiterative nature distills the knowledge removing a lot of context and substance. Example: new person at a lower level asks about a powerset combo, which leads to the sharing of an uber incarnate Mids build. why would a person want less than what's possible? well shoot, how is the new player to afford such a masterpiece? how do I get incarnates? how do I get those IO sets and Archtypes sets? once accomplished.. yay T4 50 and there really is no 'end game' left. yet when asked by another new player how they got such a great character.. rise and repeat.. and this is how it goes. "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony"
  17. This is simply proof that you can't be right all the time. Your other comment, yes please.. but after Energy Transfer. We've got various possible routes: Many folks want Energy Transfer nerf to just get reversed. This should not be game breaking. It won't suddenly leap Energy Melee to the top of the current meta. It may make it popular and folks might play it more. Pretty low impact high return request to at least test. It seems other folks want to completely rework the power set. (These people are wrong.) Pick your favorite powerset and imagine a vocal few demanding that it be reworked to remove all AOE and giving it a mechanic that makes targets scatter. Completely reworking a set is not really an option, it'd be more likely to get a totally different powerset. Another group would like to address Whirling Hands or Stun. There may be an opportunity to do that, but it does not need to hold up Energy Transfer. The likely hood Whirling Hands or Stun are looked at may even increase if Energy Transfer is reverted (a bit of a stretch). I love the AoE Stun idea. Another option, do nothing.
  18. Energy Melee for everyone!
