    Either you agree my suggestions were ridiculous or you give them credence as reasonable suggestions (you don't think they are credible do you?).

     

    To be a false equivalency argument I would first have to making an argument, and then I would need to argue something is somehow the same as something else, which I did not.

    Your assumption is not my statement.

     

    The OP suggestion (and many arguments which you did not jump on) did compare the crafting of empowerment buffs with the purchasing of pay2win items and stating that the same 8 hours would be nice. (If they both had a scaling cost with level they might be a little closer, but still apples and oranges)

     

    Also, I didn't argue against the OP. I actually said "Qol fine" earlier and suggested it just be reasonable. So keep your pants on, no one wants to see that.

    Folks don't have to complete a mission, TF or spend a large amount. If the only troo cost is remembering to go back to the base.. it is working as intended.

     

    We don't even have to 'run' to a base portal to get to a base. Just stop it with the 'so hard and burdensome'. Geez. 😛

    @Azari Yes.

     

    ..but not in the way you think; which may or may not be considered a "nerf" for the majority of the character base while the impact on edge cases may or may not be measurable at this time. Please check back periodically for any official updates. Players can always send in-game tells directly to GM_Bot. Repeated inquiries may provide different responses.

     

    In game inquiries should be in the following formats:

    /t GM_Bot, Is there really a massive proc nerf just around the corner?

    /t GM_Bot, seriously, are Procs being nerfed?

    /t GM_Bot, just tell me.

    /t GM_Bot, dude.. seriously? that sucks.

    Player may need to ask several times, several ways before the beans are spilled.

    The Start buffs are more expensive but majority have influence and not a set list of different salvage needed to craft the empowerment buffs.

    I love my Stalkers. Brutes, Tanks and Corruptors are so fun and effective. But if I HAD to pick only one AT to play it might just be a Widow rather than Stalker. They are like a mashup of the four mentioned.. which in itself is crazy. Widows have the flexibility to be tough and do respectable damage while also supporting the team and can solo just fine.

     

    Widows can bend to a players preferred style. Scrappy in the face of your foes face or keeping a little distance.

     

    On top of that, there's a choose your path aspect that, with multiple builds on a character, can become multiple characters in one.

     

    Melee vs Ranged has some risk / reward, which I appreciate, where ranged might do a little less damage. Both can have high survivability. Choices, consequences, experimentation. Does someone want to lean ranged or melee or a bit of both. ( I'm a bit of both )

     

     

    Below Kaizen alludes to a simple differences for high level builds which is still applicable with average slotting.

    Which way should someone choose? You'll notice the answer is not there. It can be a preference choice: What is fun for the player?

    Night Widows are significantly more durable than Forts. Even more so with page 7.  I mean I solo'ed the ITF at 4x8 in melee w/o dying. A Fort would have a massively harder time doing that.

  8. I confess to taking advantage of the Mapserver event.

     

    I now stare at more than a full page of newly minted 50s. (Some were dusty 20 somethings others brand new characters)

     

    Is this too much?

     

    Is this the race to 50 and play down with incarnates? What's different from farming?

     

    I love the creativity of the event. As soon as players learned to drone the GM though...

  10. You could try it on one of the Hero Epic Archetype they are able to change forms rapidly mimicking costume changes.

    • Peacebringer
    • Warshade

    using "form-shifting macros". Search for something like "$$powexec_toggleon bright nova" for example macros.

     

    some auras as @Shenanigunner said can be triggered by movement powers and attack powers. (moving/not moving & attacking/not attacking)

    some toggles can also have an impact on appearance like stealth and invisibility.

     

    a little creativity and you might bet close to what you want.
