It's also got enough tohit from power boosted farsight to have instant snipe. I went with ageless destiny for endurance so that I could take musculature alpha instead of cardiac. I don't get mez'd often with all my defense so I didn't see the need for clarion, and power boost in soul mastery gives enough of a buff to farsight to push all my defenses to soft cap already. I just carry a tray full of break frees for the rare occasion that a mez gets through my defenses. Hope my build gives you some ideas. -
If you use enhancement boosters on the gaussian's IOs that enhance tohit you can push your tohit over 22%. You won't be able to use attuned IOs since you need to boost them to 50+5

Ok then 99% of players take hasten. You're the odd one out. I look at everyone's profile that I team with and I've only seen people not take hasten a couple times since the server went up. The jranger stuff isn't funny and it's just immature rude behavior. -
It's not a bad set by any means but neither was archery and it got a nice buff recently. I think they are pretty similar so I'd at least like to see full auto adjusted to be on par with rain of arrows. Either give it more damage or a lower cast time and buff it's target cap to 16 since it's supposed to be the pseudo-nuke power for assault rifle

After the recent buff to archery (Rain of arrows activation time reduced to 2 seconds) I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for buffing assault rifle? If it's possible I would love to see the target cap on it's cone powers increased to 16 targets. Maybe reduce the activation time for flamethrower, full auto. I'd also love to see the fear affect removed from ignite so it could be a reliable damage dealer. Assault rifle has always been one of my favorite powersets but it feels pretty lackluster when compared to archery so I'd love to hear some other ideas for improving it.

Psi only has the one, it's T9, it's pretty nice with the knock-up, but it doesn't do an awful lot of damage. Fire also looks good for AoE. Fire really only has one as well, because BoF doesn't count. Spines should be mentioned though because it actually has 3 AoEs. Why would you not count breath of fire but count ripper as an AoE? It's a lot easier to hit several targets with BoF than with ripper.

I'm trying to make a stalker that has a decent amount of extra AoE in the secondary. If ground zero can crit from hide I think I'll go with rad but otherwise I'll go shield. Hopefully someone here has experience with rad on stalkers and can answer my question.

Indeed they are, and that's what makes this game great. The same class can play completely differently. Thematically I wanted more Fire, hence my differences but I may try a build with Earth... I don't think I'd slot Kick or Gale though. I just wouldn't use them ordinarily. Thanks for sharing though! The only reason they are slotted is for ranged defense bonuses with only a 2 slot investment. I don't use them at all.

Nice build. I love fire/storm. Mine has soft capped s/l and ranged defense along with perma hasten (counting the 10% from ageless). I really love the earth epic. The defense from rock armor is great for soft capping and seismic smash is really fun. Fissure adds even more knockdown to a build that already has too much. But it's a nice place to throw a force feedback proc. I went with musculature alpha to get as much damage as possible. I haven't had any endurance problems with tier 4 ageless and some generous end reduction slotting in powers with the highest cost. I don't have many problems with getting mez'd with soft capped s/l and soft capped ranged. I can tell that our playstyle is a bit different so I'm sure you won't agree with all my power chocies (I don't take hurricane for one) but maybe you can get a few useful ideas from my build. I haven't gotten around to downloading the version of pine's with sudden acceleration. I never considered not catalyzing the ATO set so that I could use more purples. I might have to redo my build with that in mind.

It should be fine. There's nothing particularly bad about that combo. Psi blast can be a little weak on AoE but you should be able to make up for that with the damage from storm. If you slot KB to KD IOs in tornado there's actually some decent synergy between the sets. Between freezing rain, psi tornado, and tornado you'll have a ton of knockdown/knockup. Slot a KB to KD IO in gale if you want even more. I haven't played the combo myself but I have a fire/storm controller with psi epic (and psi tornado) and the amount of soft crowd control is insane.

Does anyone know if each tic of hail of bullets has an individual chance to scourge? I like archery a lot on corruptors because each tic of rain of arrows can scourge. That means you can use RoA on enemies at full health and still get scourge off of the last couple tics if the health gets low enough. Also wondering if anyone knows how long the animation time for hail of bullets is. I heard that it was lowered compared to how long it was when the set was released. The numbers in game and pine's can't be correct because they show the animation time at 0 seconds and 0.1 seconds. Is it as fast as rain of arrows (2 seconds)?

Take mind probe. It has the highest DPA in the set other than instant snipe and it has a low recharge.

That's really strange. I have it slotted in blazing aura and it's only doing knockdown for me. Maybe it's bugged when slotted in burn? -
Bumping to see if anyone else has noticed this or if I'm just crazy. I swear I remember reactive interface being much stronger on live. 1 tic of 12 damage doesn't seem right for "moderate" fire damage.

Powers don't start recharging until the cast time is finished. You still need to take at least scream to have an attack chain or else you are just doing nothing for the time that shriek is recharging.

The DoT for reactive interface is currently bugged. It's supposed to do moderate fire damage but right now it normally tics only once for 12 damage. It occasionally tics for the full damage but it's very rare. It's completely worthless compared to how it worked on live.

Why is dom snipe damage still being reduced? It doesn't seem necessary. I agree with the other poster above that Dom snipes should be longer cooldown but harder hitting. They have less time to attack if they are using their primary effectively. The snipe damage for other ATs is staying the same if they still have 22% tohit and it seems unfair to reduce dom snipe damage on builds that can already achieve instant snipe on live. Could you try putting the damage (with the tohit bonus) somewhere between what it is on live and 2.76? I like the changes to devices. Any chance that the countdown on time bomb could be reduced slightly further? 5 seconds is still a little slow on faster paced teams. Just another second or two could make a huge difference.

Leave the recharge longer only if the damage doesn't get nerfed like it is currently on beta. If it's nerfed so badly they need the faster recharge

Are you still going to keep testing the current sniper changes on the beta server? or are you going to start over with something different since it was disliked? Thanks for considering the feedback and not pushing the changes to live.

Please leave doms alone. After this nerf to snipes I would hate to see what else you have in minds for them.

Why has no one responded about the dom nerf? I see that the nerf to blaster snipes were dialed back but doms are being completely ignored.

The damage decrease is substantial and the base recharge reduction is enough to make procs occur much less. It's a huge nerf to dominator burst damage. I don't even understand why the damage is being reduced. The damage is being left alone for blasters, why the huge hit to doms?
