  1. Lots of damage proc options too. Shield breaker and touch of lady grey procs can go into all the attacks.
  2. I run dark regen slotted with procs on my tank. It's decent damage but only especially useful for cleaning up spread out groups with it's big radius. If the animation was quicker it would be perfect, but dark regen is slower than the listed activation time. Power info says 1.17s but it takes well over 3s. The bio and rad heals are way better for procs since they're quick.
  3. You should run an all storm ITF. Pretty easy to throw together a full team since the set is popular and it's tons of fun
  4. Power build up used to be all we had on defenders before villain epics were opened up to hero ATs. The recharge is longer but it has a nice damage boost.
  5. Pure resistance sets like Elec, dark, and radiation. Stone armor with granite too. They all have well rounded resistances with only 1 or 2 holes so it's easy to cap them without as many set bonuses. It takes a lot more bonuses to resistance cap something with a mixed bag of tools like willpower or bio.
  6. You might be interested in nature if you are planning a high recharge build. You can perma all the aoes buffs (that affect you too) and have great survability. +Absorb, +Dmg, +Tohit, end discount, and +res to all damage types.

  9. The sniper in rad can do more damage than proc'd out dominate if you fully slot it with procs. I've got it slotted 1 50+5 Apoc dmg, 5 damage procs and it hits a bit higher. It would be difficult to work out optimal attack chains with procs taken into account.
  10. On excelsior I see most people using the terms "Speed/Speedy/Speedrun", "Kill all" and "kill most". With kill most being used similarly to how you define steamroll. If I joined a TF advertising at steamroll I would have assumed it was a speedrun unless you specified. The steamroller analogy makes perfect sense but you might need to explain it next time in different terms. Reminding them that you were steamrolling wouldn't have helped if they were misunderstanding the definition to begin with.

  13. Next time you are going to make a proc build pick a set that offers some +tohit so that you don't have to sacrifice accuracy in order to max out procs. I love invuln for sentinels for procs for example since the +tohit makes it easy to build. Same for running tactics on defenders.
  14. I think it would be worth testing all MM pets summoning even to your level. The biggest problem with MMs in my opinion is the purple patch making your t1 pet damage and sometimes t2 pet damage obsolete against +4 content. It should be possible to maintain similar performance against even cons now while boosting performance against higher conning enemies by changing the default level of minions and then tweaking damage numbers afterward.

  16. Seconding pyre. I normally go pyre or soul mastery if I want more attacks. Gloom is a bit better than fire blast (DoT though) but fireball is better than dark obliteration.

  18. I agree with you. It's been broken not fixed. Now the defense doesn't work until after the animation finishes, which makes the bonus seem pointless. On the previous patch you received the defense bonus as soon as you click the power. edit: just tested it and it looks like it works the same as before. Defense buff applies at the beginning. Still a weird fix
  19. You literally said to 6 slot the resistance toggles in case he wanted to slot IOs. If you're going to min/max then it's not always optimal to 6 slot resistance powers. If you're not using IOs then I'm even more confused as to why you would say to 6 slot resistance and defense powers.
  20. Depending on how you're building it can be beneficial to minimize slots in your resistance toggles. Some armor sets have an easier time capping resistances and don't need as many resistance set bonuses. On those builds I'll just throw 2 50+5 resistance IOs in toggles if there are better bonuses to slot elsewhere.
  21. Go for psychic epic if you aren't planning on building around power boost. Your defense values should be high enough already if you fit in leadership and fighting. Psychic has dominate which you can proc out for a huge single target dps increase and a resistance shield to complement your defenses.
  22. If you aren't set on ice mastery then take a look at the earth epic instead. You get a s/l defense armor and dull pain power just like ice, but the rest of the pool is much better than ice in my opinion. Seismic smash and fissure are both great. Seismic loaded with procs would hit especially hard with your resistance debuffs.
  23. Would it be reasonable to experiment with changing the aggro cap instead of removing it entirely? I don't want the game to devolve back into herding entire maps, but the current aggro cap is a bit restrictive to tanking characters against full sized spawns. If it's as simple as changing a value and doesn't break anything then maybe a slight bump to the cap could be tested out.
  24. It would be interesting to see the rankings with procs taken into account. Radiation and dual pistols get huge DPS boosts from all the procs they can slot. I bet they're a lot closer to fire than they used to be.
