My machine won't run it, so no for me. COH scratches that itch nicely and I can hold off upgrading for a few more years.

Take the character that's about to have their name and likeness moved to the other build, strip them clean of enhancements and cash, go out to Monster Island, pick a fight and let that character die a heroic death. Then delete them/rename them and then rename the character you want to play, redo their look and say they're taking on the legacy of a friend.

Would the ole Energy/Energy Blaster count? Don't need defense if everything you hit keeps flying away and having to get back up.

I think @Neiska's point is kinda like this: you can take the person with the most powerful punch in the world, set them in front of a punch measuring device and they're going to be the best. Now, put them in the ring with an opponent and they'll probably get their shit wrecked because all they care about is that one punch. All the other parts of a fight don't matter because "dps is king". Til you get your shit wrecked. Hard to have the best dps then.

Jesus dude, pull the stick out.

Seriously. How dare they approach mediocrity?

Came here to ask this as well. Wow, people get worked up over the stupidest things sometimes.

Stream it and call it "Praetoria's Next Top Dog".

Real answer? Gaming is my zen. Between work, home, family and all the responsibilities that come with all of that, gaming keeps me sane. Some fish. Some play golf. Some do woodworking. Me? I game. Comics and superheroes were also a big part of my childhood and still a part of my adulthood. COH/V combined the two and had an amazing range of looks and powers to craft your own characters. When it sunset, none of the other superhero games compared to me and they lost my interest quickly. When I discovered Homecoming in 2019, it was like an old friend had returned. So, I play because this game caught my attention and held on like few have. It’s an old comfortable pair of shoes that gets cleaned up with some new shininess every so often but still slip on and make me feel at home every time. I keep logging in because I enjoy the game and I think this simple answer is the real reason for most of us. Except @Yomo Kimyata. Yomo plays for spite. 😅

Hey Phil. -Hey Bob. Shift change? -Yeah...sigh. Well, good luck. -Thanks. <jumps down 2 story drop>

The Council caves where you have to jump down those square chute things. Rarely do I hit it on the first try. It's usually me running over it too fast or jumping onto an edge and moving too fast over it or just missing it all together. Bonus hate points for trying to stealth the one in the Trapdoor mission with anything other than Superior Invis.

Running an Elec/Psi Armor Brute now. It's been good solo once you find your groove. It's clickier than some, but it's pretty dang good. Then I decided to respec and add Aura of Confusion to the build because everyone raves about it. I haven't giggled like a madman in quite awhile, but the first time I used it I did. I "mwa ha ha ha ha"ed more than I probably should've.

Love: That I can still play this game 21 years later after launch. Change: My socks, it's humid! I keed I keed. (sorta...ick) Hmmm...it's not a regular happenstance, but I've had it happen and I bet others have as well, but make quitting a team require an "Are you sure?" check. I have quit teams on accident an embarrassing number of times.

I remember awhile back someone had the idea of a repel field with a timer. Still standing on the portal after 5 minutes? You get politely shoved out of the way. Bonus points if it chucked people over the edge and piled them in the center pool.

Learned something new that will absolutely be used by me in future conversations. 😁

Waaaaay back in the '00s, Sky-Hawke was heavily inspired by Superman. So, I'd say Henry Cavill would be my pick for playing him.

Ice Melee/Electric Armor, especially with the latest buffs to the Electric Armor set. Slows, a hold, Ice Patch (which is useful from the moment you get it all the way through endgame) along with Elec's great resists, heal and a good aoe damage field.

Coyotes and why they should be able to fly in 2025

This sort of lunacy is what gets you on the /ignore list. Sooooo glad I won't be seeing your ridiculous bullshit anymore.

I agree with this and I'll add that even when us vets were noobs, we had the manual that came with the game that explained the basics so you had at least an idea of what to do when you started. Now, new or returning players get plopped into tutorials that are okay, but not great at explaining things. Bonus points for all the people that say "I don't need no tutorial" and plop into Atlas with clue zero how to actually play the game. Perhaps an updated version of the manual that covers the basics like health and endurance regen, slotting, enemy powers that can affect the player, etc? Maybe hosted on the site with it pinned in the guides section and a link in the ingame options menu that opens a browser to it? As for gutting endurance because it makes the game hard?
