I'm thinking of the Ring of Peebles arc. I started it, got onto a TF, came back, was overleveled, but finished the arc out. I never got the Ring of Peebles temp power. From what I remember reading, it's a known thing and you have to Oro it to get the temp power.

Are you talking about having trainers in your base? If so, you can definitely have trainers in a base, just not the named ones you'll find ingame.

Yet, they're talking about making the next Xbox even more powerful than the PS6 is supposed to be (how they know how powerful is beyond me). Me, personally, I think they've either lost their minds or pulling the old "let's see how far we can push before we have to back off" thing. Really getting tired of the gaming industry just seeing how much they can jerk consumers around.

As for my advice? Knockback. Everything. Gray mobs? Knock em back. Purple mobs? Knock em back. Archvillain? Knock them back as well. Story contact? Boom, pow and off they go! Trainers? Yep, you guessed it! Have fun chasing Ms Liberty across Atlas Park, scrubs! Helicopter pilot? Knock that fool back and make some Task Forces more interesting! Hell, knock yourself back and cut out the need for a travel power! Also turn off sprint in combat in the early levels or you'll burn through endurance quickly. Also disregard my first advice, people frown upon chasing helicopter pilots.

Also, you can outlevel certain rewards for a story arc, even if the book icon is there. Looking at you, Stephanie Peebles....

Use double xp and run the Habashy, Officer Fields (his is faster than Costel's) and Thiery quest chain. It can be run in about the same amount of time as a DFB, easy for anyone to solo (especially if you use the free attack powers from the START vendor), gives merit rewards and you'll be level 8 at the end. I never do a DFB anymore, it's less efficient.

Oh, but that's something I do with any character I get serious about so I'm looking forward to going through all of that again. This time, it's with an old friend with a new vibe.

RIght? It's our version of the Coldplay Kiss Cam. It was wild when it hit, has been fun to watch, but will be going away soon and forgotten about other than "Hey, remember that time?" posts. I did notice they got that Spotter guy out of the ban pool and he's been really flexing those smooching lips ever since. Kinda feel sorry for the guy. Either he's super delusional or being paid. I've hemmed and hawed about this one. Usually redoing or getting rid of a character doesn't bug me, but redoing my main after all these years? Hard til I realized how often I've seen Snarky and others do it. Since a Rad/Willpower Brute is kinda yuck these days and I hate seeing him collect dust, I've redone him. Starting over with a MA/Psi Brute (still love Brutes and hate tanking). Martial Arts since it was what Sky-Hawke used back in the beginning (as a Scrapper) and Psi because I've fallen in love with it and really like the set. Doing something a tad different though. I'm starting with my ooooooooold beta outfit for the first 15 levels, then switching to the one I had for a long time after launch til 25, adding the cape at 25 and then finally graduating into the final look that he has had for so long at 35. Anyone else feel that twinge of guilt when redoing a main you've had for years or just me?

Right? The Phalanx folds like a house of cards and limps off to the hospital while the New Praetorians just keep on going. Praetoria may have been a mess, but it raised some tough as nails heroes!
