  1. That all makes sense. I DO think giving the pet a single target ranged attack it can use independently is a good idea. It just feels frustrating that the pet in Symphony Control does not work well with a soloist /Sonic Controller as far as the Disruption Field toggle goes. We've seen from the Electric Blast rework that the HC team is ok with making certain sets pair particularly well with others and this would have been a nice place to do so.
  2. Great, sounds like you found the solution to your own problem!
  3. right now this is the only controller or dominator pet that will STOP ATTACKING if you get mezzed. That seems like a brutally unfair disadvantage. It would have to be incredibly good apart from that to justify it.
  4. Just turn off XP gain entirely for long enough that you feel you've "earned" the extra xp. Problem solved.
  5. Controller and Dominator pets are useful because they help do damage and other stuff WHILE YOU ARE BUSY WITH YOUR CONTROLS. The Reverberant as designed does none of that. The set overall looks cool, but I think the concept of the pet probably just should be scrapped and made into a normal pet.
  6. Frankly I think the idea of giving it a single attack it can use independently is virtually essential. A pet that's completely passive except when YOU attack? What's the point? Might as well just make the attacks stronger and scrap the pet.
  7. Or you could learn to adjust your tactics, because now you can do other things during those first few seconds. There is no offensive toggle in the game so powerful that it's worth more than that.
  8. In fact you completely missed the point. I'm NOT comparing things because they are toggles. I was comparing two different forms of suppression caused by NPCs.
  9. They did, maybe it just didn't satisfy you, but they did.
  10. Comparing toggle debuffs to Armor (as you're doing) is equally incorrect. There are very, very few toggle debuffs that are "make or break" in the way you are suggesting. There's Entangling Aura, Choking Cloud, that's about it. Getting the toggle -ToHit debuffs back up in 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds is not going to destroy anyone's build, though yes they might have to shift tactics slightly. That's what this really comes down to, the people complaining are saying "I HAVE to do this the way I've always been or else I am NERFED and I will die repeatedly", but they are wrong. They don't HAVE to do it that way, and a couple more seconds before their toggle is available again is not going to kill them unless they have bigger problems to address.
  11. You’re not talking about the same phenomenon.
  12. Maybe just give him a single weak ranged attack that he can use on his own so that he will position correctly himself.
  13. given that Re-Hiding and Re-Stealthing take 8 or 10 seconds, 5 seems fine to me.
  14. I’m just concerned about the basic design of the pet. Other controller and dominator pets help by doing stuff while you can’t. This pet won’t do anything unless you do it first. It better be really good at that or else this won’t be Mind Control but with a pet, it’ll just be Mind Control without Mass Confuse.
  15. Explaining? They were convinced that 8 was too long, so they lowered it to 5. What more explanation is required?
  16. This is a lot to ask, but it seems logical: Change the cones to AoEs and revert the AI shift. The set should pair as well with /Sonic as possible.
  17. You mean about this confuse having damage and aggro? Yea, I was also originally wary, but I like it.
  18. How long does it take for someone to re-Stealth after being hit if they run away? Is that 5 or 8?
  19. yea, I think it has been so long since I thought about those aspects of many immobs and I got a little confused while I was looking around.
  20. oh am I misunderstanding what the numbers are telling me? Cool!
  21. Is there any way the -Knock in the immobilizes could be changed so that it still allows knockdown but prevents knockback?
  22. indeed I have, in fact I’m playing an ice/sr scrapper right now and you’re absolutely right.
  23. Meh. It'll probably be fine. These are all very sturdy sets we're talking about in general.
  24. Right, I understand the concept, but here's my concern: Originally Super Reflexes was exceptional because it could defend against most Psi attacks. This was balanced by the fact that it had no heals or +HP or resistance. Well, now the sets that DO get heals and resistance ALSO get defense or res against Psi. So it is precisely balance that concerns me here.
  25. if I understood the devs notes correctly then in fact Cauterizing Aura, Dynamo, and Mud Bath (and I think Reaction Time, Frigid Protection, etc) are NOT suppressed by mez. Totally possible that I did misunderstand tho...
