  1. I can't recall the rules we had back in the day on Live with an IM SG, but you died, so that character is finished. I can't recall how much people hung around. Sometimes there can be a moment of shock/mourning happening based on the situation or level of the character. I at one point easily had the highest level character for a Blaster(41). My next run I grabbed a Dom which I really liked, we did the same mission, and that character died on the same mob, see a named boss was involved. Utter and complete gut punch. I remember one time was rather difficult due to a near team wipe happening. To add, I didn't use anything outside of Level 25 Common IOs. So no, I was not capping any sort of Def or anything like that.
  2. I only use IOs. I'm perfectly fine with using my as is build so there is zero extra effort or planning on my part for being exempt. "But you aren't damage capped." And? Having less damage but end reducs and recharge slotted is perfectly fine. More so when it involves zero effort on my end. Again, if I can solo on even reasonably higher diff setting, why would I waste time slotting in for a level 20 build? IIRC, I accidently left my diff setting at +1/x8 once and soloed the mission just fine. I can't recall the level I did it at, but it was at a level where I had zero chance of doing it at that level starting out.
  3. ATOs can be in FU and Spin, so that's both Scrapper procs with two full sets of bonuses. Focus is also available at 13 exempted down. Who cares about set bonuses it offers. You have a full fledged ST attack chain and Spin fully slotted out. Don't act like PVP sets aren't used in end game builds either.
  4. The missions can be overly annoying, but Croatoa still remains my favorite zone. The mission preventing the Fir Bolg from escaping has always been a classic to me. More so as or with Controllers/Doms. Further hat tip for doing the zone with Storm powers involved.
  5. Crappy set bonuses is still better than none. Additional slots are still additional slots. At level 13 I could have maybe 3 slots in a power. At 50, it is 6. Exempted to level 13 still means I get more powers than an actual level 13 character. And again, those powers will have more slots. Hello 6-slotted level 18 power. There is also a significant difference in inspiration slots than someone who is actually level 13. My ability to solo while doing flashbacks is much better even exempted down to rather lower levels. I'm not saying I keep my diff setting the same. I'm also not saying I put it as if I am level 13.
  6. I don't even use my time to talk about the stuff I like. The stuff I can't even be bothered to watch? Life's too short. FYI, I thought the show was okay in a 2.5/5 way. Everything else I have watched currently or recently I have deemed better. I don't waste my time watching things I know are going to be below average. A cake is far less subjective in how it is going to taste based on ingredients. More so given your list. At what point does that cake have a chance of getting better? It doesn't. Shows can get better. If a cake was made in that way, I'm not wasting my time interacting with people who enjoy it. Life's too short to point out how wrong people are for investigating into something they are curious about. You don't see me repeatedly posting about something like Rebel Moon. There's books to read. Shows and movies to watch. An outdoors to hang out in. Games to be played. Near literally anything to do than post about how much Rebel Moon sucks, which I haven't watched outside of trailers. No one lies on their deathbed and wishes they spent more time pointing out how much things sucked to people who enjoyed said things. Well, a certain type of person does.
  7. Oddly enough I don't have a build for my EA Stalker for some reason. - I would single slot Super Speed and 2-slot Sprint with Celerity. The extra Def isn't giving you much, so the extra bit of Res will be better. - I don't see the need for KB Protection. - Overall my Scrapper has Def in the low 50s, and I'm not sure how much you need Shadow Meld. You could even go Barrier to fill in as needed. My Res numbers are roughly or near 20% better. I'll have to grab my Stalker and see where they are at. Although I am sure it is some variation of Croax's as I find theirs a good starting point where I tweak from there to my liking. Something else to look at as well. Obviously different primaries, but you can still get ideas. Note, these are specifically designed to take on missions built to be as difficult as possible so that's why Shadow Meld is used. I need to look at making a secondary build for my StJ/ea with the one posted. I'm comfortable with EA having taken it to 50 four times across all ATs, but even I accept mine are more geared towards normal solo play (+2-+3/x8).
  8. EA is better because Def is better than Res and more so on an AT with lower HP and Stalkers get lower Res caps than Brutes and Tankers. Even if you slot in Def with IOs, there's no real DDR to keep what lesser amount you will have. Saying that, if you aren't pushing the envelop in terms of what you are going against(see soloing) and are playing with friends, Bio will be fine. If I were to go with a Res based armor on a Stalker, I would go Rad as it will offer a different damage type to supplement Psionic damage. And it looks cooler. 😃
  9. Its weird continually seeing people post about something they don't even watch.
  10. This is by no means universally true. While yes, there are primaries which offer low amounts of damage, Ill, Plant, and Fire are no slouches in the damage department for something offering the most team mitigation.
  11. This also depends on how much they play and how. If you get a character to 50 and then move on, it is rather difficult to get to a billion.
  12. If you think it is click heavy, don't play Kin or EA.
  13. The first billion is the hardest.
  14. I prefer slotting Lockdown in the AoE Holds. Bosses simply get held.
  15. I think I grabbed @DocMidknight's build from this thread. Once you get perma-PA, the rest is gravy. It's one of the rare genuine 'any map' builds.
  16. Set defining OP powers happen in other sets. I don't see why Wormhole needs to be weaken. The set as is is merely average.
  17. I never implied it was. It is incredibly easy to out level The Hollows due to regular teaming without using 2x XP boosters. The last time I ran an Atta was when I was soloing the zone. On a team? I think I have done it once for HC, and I gravitate towards the popular servers. I have a genuine question for how often the last mission for the zone is ever actually run.
  18. - Of the reliable non-hold AoE control powers, it is the only one which has KB. No, Bonfire don't count. Flashfire is this type of power for Fire Control. - Since the power is ultimately about placing a mob in a specific area, it seems counterintuitive to place a mob on a specific spot, and then KB them. "But you can just slot a KB to KD IO in it." And this strips Gravity from using their ATOs in the typical fashion with how every other control set does. I default to one ATO set for the ST Hold and the other for the non-Hold AoE. This typically means a Gravity Controller is going to miss out on a 5% Ranged Def bonus if they are slotting the KB to KD IO. I have issues with Propel's animation time, but I can skip it and feel little loss in doing so. Wormhole is a signature control from Gravity, and it simply doesn't come across as being even average.
  19. +4x8 FF runs with the lead using a 2x XP booster is absolutely a thing. About the only time I see if not being done is when I'm the lead. Once, I saw someone try it without using the booster. So so so many deaths. There was at least at one point 1 or more players would hop on their finished builds and help out the lowbies for it. It works incredibly well when the super is a Tanker.
  20. You solo the zone. Frostfire alone can give 3-4 levels on a team of 8. I think I got at least 3 on my character who is higher level exempted down and not using 2x XP boosters. I was able to go through the whole zone without any 2x XP booster with only being on a team for FF. I can't recall what level I ended up with, but it was at least 17.
  21. Of the list, I would put Claws/sr as a favorite. I don't think I could be convinced to roll Regen these days. I need to try Invul, but my lean is go to Brute or Tanker with it. While decent, my opinion on Ice for a Scrapper is still being tested out. SR only gets better and going T4 with Incarnates is cheat mode. This is by no means a final build as Conserve Power feels more useful while leveling and not really needed once you hit end game although there are situations where you might need a little help with end. As in specific situations. This build honestly has a number of safety valves for when 'it' hits the fan. It's practically unkillable on a team doing normalish stuff. I haven't kicked enough tires to really stress test it, but it plays great on +4x8 teams from what I have seen. There's little reason it can't solo sanely at +3x8 on a lot of maps. Honestly, as with a number of builds, I'm on teams to have an audience. 😄I also need to push this higher in my ranking of Top 10 level 50s. Wait, it isn't even on there. *ahem* Incarnates of note are Musculature Core, Reactive Core, Rebirth Radial, and Melee Core. Lore and Judgement are whatever. Without Hesitation - Scrapper (Claws - Super Reflexes).mbd
  22. I still can't get past this. No Brute with even a single support character should be dying with regularity at +0x3. That should be straight steamroll. It's bare minimum soloing at that spot.
  23. Rule of 5. You can only get 5 copies of a set bonus outside of specific cases. Global Recharge is very not capped at 80%. 5 LotR: +Recharge and Quickness from SR alone is 57.5. And in other bonuses, Hasten, and 80% is super easy to pass.
