  1. The first billion is the hardest.
  2. I prefer slotting Lockdown in the AoE Holds. Bosses simply get held.
  3. I think I grabbed @DocMidknight's build from this thread. Once you get perma-PA, the rest is gravy. It's one of the rare genuine 'any map' builds.
  4. Set defining OP powers happen in other sets. I don't see why Wormhole needs to be weaken. The set as is is merely average.
  5. I never implied it was. It is incredibly easy to out level The Hollows due to regular teaming without using 2x XP boosters. The last time I ran an Atta was when I was soloing the zone. On a team? I think I have done it once for HC, and I gravitate towards the popular servers. I have a genuine question for how often the last mission for the zone is ever actually run.
  6. - Of the reliable non-hold AoE control powers, it is the only one which has KB. No, Bonfire don't count. Flashfire is this type of power for Fire Control. - Since the power is ultimately about placing a mob in a specific area, it seems counterintuitive to place a mob on a specific spot, and then KB them. "But you can just slot a KB to KD IO in it." And this strips Gravity from using their ATOs in the typical fashion with how every other control set does. I default to one ATO set for the ST Hold and the other for the non-Hold AoE. This typically means a Gravity Controller is going to miss out on a 5% Ranged Def bonus if they are slotting the KB to KD IO. I have issues with Propel's animation time, but I can skip it and feel little loss in doing so. Wormhole is a signature control from Gravity, and it simply doesn't come across as being even average.
  7. +4x8 FF runs with the lead using a 2x XP booster is absolutely a thing. About the only time I see if not being done is when I'm the lead. Once, I saw someone try it without using the booster. So so so many deaths. There was at least at one point 1 or more players would hop on their finished builds and help out the lowbies for it. It works incredibly well when the super is a Tanker.
  8. You solo the zone. Frostfire alone can give 3-4 levels on a team of 8. I think I got at least 3 on my character who is higher level exempted down and not using 2x XP boosters. I was able to go through the whole zone without any 2x XP booster with only being on a team for FF. I can't recall what level I ended up with, but it was at least 17.
  9. Of the list, I would put Claws/sr as a favorite. I don't think I could be convinced to roll Regen these days. I need to try Invul, but my lean is go to Brute or Tanker with it. While decent, my opinion on Ice for a Scrapper is still being tested out. SR only gets better and going T4 with Incarnates is cheat mode. This is by no means a final build as Conserve Power feels more useful while leveling and not really needed once you hit end game although there are situations where you might need a little help with end. As in specific situations. This build honestly has a number of safety valves for when 'it' hits the fan. It's practically unkillable on a team doing normalish stuff. I haven't kicked enough tires to really stress test it, but it plays great on +4x8 teams from what I have seen. There's little reason it can't solo sanely at +3x8 on a lot of maps. Honestly, as with a number of builds, I'm on teams to have an audience. 😄I also need to push this higher in my ranking of Top 10 level 50s. Wait, it isn't even on there. *ahem* Incarnates of note are Musculature Core, Reactive Core, Rebirth Radial, and Melee Core. Lore and Judgement are whatever. Without Hesitation - Scrapper (Claws - Super Reflexes).mbd
  10. I still can't get past this. No Brute with even a single support character should be dying with regularity at +0x3. That should be straight steamroll. It's bare minimum soloing at that spot.
  11. Rule of 5. You can only get 5 copies of a set bonus outside of specific cases. Global Recharge is very not capped at 80%. 5 LotR: +Recharge and Quickness from SR alone is 57.5. And in other bonuses, Hasten, and 80% is super easy to pass.
  12. I will say of the Def based armors, Ice has come across as the weakest, but I only recently gotten the T9, and I'm still learning how to slot Ice in general. I've taken EA to 50 four times across all ATs. I've done SR to 50 twice both being Scrappers. I have one level 50 Shield Scrapper, and I'm working on a couple of Shield Tankers. I had a Ice/ice Tanker back on Live, but it only got into the 30s. It used common IOs, and I exclusively grouped on it.
  13. Ice is Type based Def so trying to get Positional Def out of it isn't the best way forward. I think posting your build would help. I had to check, and my Scrapper is soloing at +1x5 and they are level 31. Claws/ice for record, and Claws offers a nice amount of mitigation via KD. I haven't done it yet, but sticking a Avalanche: +Chance for KD wouldn't be a bad thing to put in Icicles.
  14. I should have said you being a Corr means you should really look at more Leadership. Assault is an easy single slot. Tactics doesn't take much. Vengeance is an Easy LotG: +Recharge slotting. since you would lose Weave.
  15. I would die on the hill that Claws is what KM should have been and Claws is what Savage is. Claws with ranged attacks? WTF? I did the powerset break down recently in General between Claws and KM because it is that close in terms of fit. Not numbers. Oh no. Certainly not numbers. If I had to die on any hill for KM, I would pick Assassin due to getting AS or Tanker as mentioned due to larger AoEs. In terms of the Repulsing Torrent, yes it needs a KB to KD IO, but that's not really the issue. The issue is doing 30.667 DPA with essentially the same numbers for Recharge and End as Shockwave and yet Shockwave does 55.29 DPA with FU boosting it even more, and FU can stack. You should easily be looking at Shockwave being double the DPA of Repulsing Torrent. Shockwave also roughly animates in half the time. All I'm saying is, when the game balance party happened, the person representing KM wasn't mentally all there.
  16. I do far more of just tossing in whatever IOs I have at those levels and eventually I will pop a respec once I know the character better. Even if I plan a build out in Mid's, I think one of the last builds I finalized took 5+ passes to finally figure out, and it took playing the build with Incarnates to do final configuration.
  17. It's unfortunate they already have J. K. Simmons doing Spider-Man films as he would be a great Ross.
  18. FYI, the build is old. I'm currently running it with it being at 50, but I am playing around with the build and taking notes for what changes I would make in a revamp.
  19. A recent favorite for me is the Sorcery pool since it gets you Rune of Protection, but that is also depends on the build and ones which are Def based so adding in Res is welcomed. You might want to look at things like moving the slot from Tough with the Impervium Armor IO and sticking a 6th slot into the snipe. You lose 1.5% Psi Resist, but gain 4.5% Toxic Res. Tar Patch as slotted has a duration of 45 seconds and a recharge of 24.18s. I don't recall Tar Patch being able to self stack so the second Recharge is overkill. I tend to find 6-slotting Purples to be overkill since Damage and Recharge are over the ED cap. You could easily move things around to 6-slot Spirit Drain and come away with near 40% ranged Def, and that's likely the one Def stat you care about the most.
  20. General Thunderbolt Ross is old. The actor before him was 71. I don't know how much they expect to use Red Hulk anyway. Once they get voice work done, Red Hulk is essentially just CGI. If I'm Marvel, I'm cranking out as much voice work as I can from Ford. My guess is Marvel just wants him for the end of the current phase with a possible appearance in a long in the making Hulk film.
  21. Disney hasn't said. Even when asked midseason, so a month ago, the showrunner had no answer.
  22. After minor investigation on my part. the showrunner is open to having another season. It certainly has potential to be even better.
  23. Season Ender. That was hardly wrapped up neatly. I liked the episode. It still feels decent but uneven overall.
