  1. I think the biggest knock to FA is fixing Burn. Burn This power should no longer summon multiple burn patches. This power should now hit 5 enemies instead of 4. Procs should no longer trigger multiple times per target when using this power. Burn Flames should now inherit the power Accuracy enhancements. Burn Flames now inherit AT classes, caps, and modifiers. Upfront damage now match all other versions. In terms of procs, (damage)procs will proc less in at least PBAoEs. People were 5/6-slotting Irradiated Ground with damage procs before the change, and that fixed it. It was one of the issues which came along with a negative impact on farming. Note, they also lessened rewards for AE. Before the change I could duo box a character from 1-21 from a single tunnel run using a 2X XP booster. Post change it is 1-17. Want to see disappointment? Try leveling in AE on a non-farm. Note: My older school Rad/fire solos farms just fine post change even if it is slightly slower. I'm too lazy to change the build. In a pinch, I have duo boxed farms, but I vastly prefer duo boxing story content at +3/x8 for the sake of variety and speed. It also helps I can do so many builds which can pull off being the main in that situation. Case in point, my current duo is a Claws/ea Scrapper as lead and Ice/stone Brute as the backup with currently doing RWZ. I find it a bit funny/ironic how farms have been targeted while Unai and his fat maps and DA dailies at +4/x8 still exists.
  2. I'm not sure when it happened, but not being forced to take the T1 in your secondary has been a boost to a number of builds.
  3. Common IOs exist. At end of the day, the changes the OP is seeking simply aren't happening. The devs haven't even fixed various powersets. They certainly aren't going to change whole systems.
  4. I can't even recall what of the new powersets have genuinely stood out to be. I'm not saying they are bad. I just feel like they are on some level fairly average/solid. I think I have been more impressed with sets which got reworked than anything. A glace at my Top 20 characters and I only really see a /stone Stalker as being something 'new' that stands out. Again, I find the other new ones fairly solid. They just aren't 'need to play.' I've mostly been playing sets I need to give another go around on, new-to-me sets, and ones which got reworked. I should add I haven't tried Arsenal Control yet, or the newer version of Mind.
  5. I always just find the patch notes for the any issue I missed out on.
  6. I would at least look into IOs. I would as a rule slot level 25 Common IOs into your first/initial build(s), and get one of them to 50. You could even switch over to level 35 common IOs. Outside of crafting them, they sell for cheap on the auction house, command /ah. Use that/those 50(s) to start to horde more currency to eventually switch over to more expensive builds. I think I priced a build with level 25 common IOs at around maybe 4 mill if you buy it all from the auction house, and that's super easy enough to earn simply selling rare salvage on the auction house. If you add in the ATOs and some 1-slot wonders, you will be far better off than those characters who started out without having access to IOs at all. I never really touched the IO sets on Live, so just know you don't have to go all in on pimping out a build. I've earned billions in game and still have numerous level 50s with nothing but common IOs.
  7. I wouldn't call the OG devs inexperienced and even they said how messed up it was. To me that felt like a 'You' problem. I converted a C++ CLI Windows service to a .NET one. I honestly need to go back and further update the code since the base was so old, but anytime I work with C++, I'm like, 'Never again.' I don't know when the switch came from the OG devs to what is the HC ones, but the game has been shut down 12 years ago. Painful as it may sound, the database has always been a sore point in the code base. One of the first recommendations I would have asked for as a team would be to overhaul it until it was fixed, and then move on from there. It also honestly makes me wonder if they ever updated the version of the code base.
  8. They aren't done via Flashback. I can't recall the contact I had. It certainly felt like every mission was in a different zone. IIRC, if the arc doesn't offer a badge, it won't be in a Flashback, but then I can't recall if there was one or not. I've soloed enough of both sides and CoV is much more streamlined. I can hit at least level 20, before I get a mission outside of the zone I'm in.
  9. I've done IP contacts and been on teams with IP contacts as well. I would certainly disagree with this statement. Even traveling within IP can be an issue.
  10. As a Sr. Software Engineer who has seen my far share of messes, Global name + Character name can be done. If a volunteer dev team can literally create Issues with a variety of new content and fixes, unique naming is within reason.
  11. Have some in your email. Outside of ambushes, some map layouts just aren't kind.
  12. The devs should simply have it to where your global name is displayed under your character's name and call it good.
  13. Update, if anyone wants to use the build, one slot CP and move the slot to RoP with it being a Gladiator's Armor: Resistance. This will bump Res with RoP on to be: S/L: 73% E/N: 49.3% F/C: 33.5% T/P: 47.8 Add in the Scaling Res IO and SR's own scaling Res and yeah, that should cover it when Melee Incarnate is recharging. I may or may not do other changing of slots, but I feel like this is really close to being done.
  14. The tidbit about possible sexual transgressions seems far more accurate for a firing.
  15. There was a company in our area who's name was close enough to evil that my friend would roll down the window every time we drove past and yell out 'EEEEEEVIL.'
  16. 1. Def. You simply don't want to get hit. Not only for the sake of avoiding damage, you also want to avoid Debuffs. 2. DDR. Most characters don't have this, but you can at least get some via Incarnates. You may skip out on the Incarnate option to focus on other stuff anyway. 3. Res. Unlike Def, Res has it's own built in Debuff protection. Pretty much anything else, see regen, is rather nice to have. Usually a set will lean one way or the other. Built for what it is designed for first. Do try to get the other as well as you can without sacrificing too much.
  17. This was my thought as well. You could add to it as needed.
  18. In the Guides section there are threads dedicated to farming. I think I might have also found a non-farming build there as well, but any build I have is before the change to procs and FA. They do well enough though.
  19. Fun facts. I design my female characters on the more realistic side to where one person on Live couldn't believe my character was played by a guy. I got married post shutdown. and when I was playing a female character my wife wondered why she looked weird. I went into the character creator, and she walked me through the settings to make them less weird looking. For those wondering, minimize chest and legs, and max waist. If you do use the default athletic waist, the women do look rather anemic. Just jump up and watch the waist area when going down. So yes, there is so much outright terrible about the outfits players can pick from. My kingdom for male developers asking women if something looks realistic to them.
  20. How procs were handled already got changed which impacted Rad. I'm not sure any future changes for the set are on the table as quite frankly there are outright underperforming sets to dealt with first.
  21. Some people just want to play Tin Foil Man I guess. 😆
  22. I buy them at 8M. I did both sets for a MM at 7.5M per each IO.
  23. Looks like I had Energize selected as on for mine, but not yours. In terms of Psy, I feel like the missions filled with Psy are obviously the most problematic, but those are really rare.
  24. It's amazing to think of how I picture an assassin looking and how truthful that outfit is.
  25. For those scoring at home once you turn off Incarnates: Def S/L: 45.3% E/N/T/P: 17% F/C: 32.7% Res S/L 73% E: 90% N: 51.9% F/C: 80.8% T: 8% P: 52.9% All I'm saying is, I get 75% S/L Res on an EA Brute and that's a Def based armor. You have 17% Def to Toxic with 8% Res, so there is no real surprise if Toxic based targets are an issue. My no real effort invested makes me think they have the -Def to remove what little Def you have. One thing to think about, you split the ATO to double the S/L Def, but you have no DDR. You might be better off going in on the 6-slot bonus for more Res. I honestly don't have a quick fix as I was scanning the build and kept finding little things to tweak so it would take me some time to rearrange things to see how it all worked out if it did. Part of the question is how bad do you want to fill that hole versus loading up on Inspirs to cover it?
