  1. You may need to open up your Options menu, select the Controls tab, and toggle through the "Device" option under the "Game Controller" section to let the game accept it as a form of input. Hope this helps!
  2. Do any error messages appear during your game start up process?
  3. Taking a brief look at the log file you posted, it appears as if you've installed the game in your "Program Files (x86)" directory? Placing the game there can lead to some problems - we generally recommend following the installation guide here in terms of where to put it. That is to say, in a "CoH" folder, placed inside a "Games" folder (i.e. "C:\Games\CoH"). Move it over to a more appropriate location first, and give this another try.
  4. Give the patches on beta a try - while the dev team does their best, they do rely on the community to help test and report bugs. By doing so, they're given chance to resolve such issues, ideally before they are rolled out onto the live shards. Here is a guide on how to get started with using the beta shard, along with how best to report issues that you see. Hopefully you'll be able to report on the progress done there!
  5. To my knowledge, all ATO and Winter set IOs are attuned enhancements. As such, they'll work as detailed here:
  6. I believe some other costume pieces have this issue as well - in the meantime, there is a workaround: if you toggle the "Costume Colors Linked" option, you should be able to adjust the interior to your liking (at the cost of altering the rest of your costume in the process). The change will persist when detoggling that option. Hope this helps for now!
  7. To my knowledge, OpenGL games (such as City of Heroes) do not perform that well on Windows, due to the operating system not really supporting OpenGL all that much - some quick searching also seems to suggest that AMD drivers for Windows are partially to blame as well. This is a long shot, but I've heard that it's sometimes possible to get better performance on OpenGL games using Linux because of this - their implementation of it is more up to date, and as a result works better, even when being run through Wine. But then you're using a different operating system, which might not be ideal.
  8. There's been a few fixes to taunts in the beta shard, according to the beta patch notes. Are your issues resolved on the Pineapple shard?
  9. Did restarting your computer solve your issue?
  10. As mentioned previously, have you tried rebooting your computer and starting up Island Rum again?
  11. In Tequila, there is an option to verify files - I imagine there's an equivalent on Island Rum. But either way, you shouldn't need to do that: by default whenever there's an update to your game files, they will be checked through to make sure they're correct.
  12. You don't need to worry about corrupt files - Island Rum (and Tequila for that matter), make sure the files which are downloaded are the right ones.
  13. That shouldn't be necessary - the files are all the same regardless of whether or not you download them again.
  14. Might you clarify what you mean by that? If there is no download process currently happening, that should mean that all the game files are up to date, and as such is normal.
  15. Rebooting your computer entails either option, though the latter should be a bit quicker.
  16. As the Paragon Wiki states: So your powers are still enhanced, just scaled down accordingly to the level that you're at.
  17. You'll need to adapt those instructions to target the right executables for those game clients. In other words, instead of homecoming.exe, you'll need to target cityofheroes.exe, located either in the hc-bin64 folder (64-bit mode), or the hc-bin32 folder (32-bit mode). Otherwise, you're just targeting the safe mode client with those steps, which is why the steps aren't working for you.
  18. First off: try to avoid multiposting, it can make things harder to read - further details can easily be added by editing your post instead. Secondly, if you're having continual issues with starting up, try rebooting your computer, then launching Island Rum again. Ensure that you have selected the "Homecoming (64-bit)" option before launching the game. Please give that a try, and report what happens. If you have any further questions or concerns, let us know!
  19. Correct. Clockwork have a weakness to Knockback/Knockdown. This means that even powers that would usually result in Knockdown can result in them being knocked away instead - those psychic gears are lightweight, apparently.
  20. I imagine they're referring to the changes back last year in May, found here. To my knowledge, the trial has not been modified further.
  21. @GM_Tahquitz made a nice guide for City of Heroes on laptops. Perhaps it might help you out.
  22. Hello! The Penguin on the Rocks script has a bug in it, making it unable to handle some paths in our manifest file. As a result, it's currently unable to launch the game. I'll upload the fixed version - use that in place of the one you downloaded, and it should work just fine. penguinrocks.pl
  23. Installing Wine should not be necessary - Island Rum takes care of these sorts of things automatically these days. Did you make sure to put Island Rum in your Applications folder, and when the prompt started up, to put your game folder in the Applications folder as well?
  24. Our manifests went through a few mix-ups from what I recall - wrong game client executables; it was fixed a little while back, so you'll probably find that the regular manifest should work just fine now, if you revalidate your files and so on.
  25. Are you able to submit a crash report from the Crash Handler? That'll be the best way to help resolve these kinds of issues.
