  1. level less zones is why I quit swtor. I want to actually progress in the game.
  2. If I remember correctly, our dev team is 3 people. Lets have reasonable expectations of unpaid volunteers. I appreciate them but they need to sleep and have lives too.
  3. The funny thing about that comment? all of my 20's level in striga. I love the first chain on the docks. after that, I go to croatoa. Those are some of the best zones in the game.
  4. I never said that ordinary content wasnt appealing. there is content for a variety of tastes. you seem to thing that fire farming is somehow evil. It rewards less per kill than other similar leveled content. Lets see what a 4star lvl 50 ITF rewards and see how much you make on one of those.
  5. I find it interesting that you have appointed yourself a commissioner of fun. That is kind of arrogant to decide that for everyone. First you decide that your opinions are facts and then you decide what is fun. You are making the same mistake that ncsoft did. If you destroy what people find fun, they will not flock to the activity you have declared they should do. I dont wish you good luck with that, because when ncsoft did it it took away my favorite game. you want to do it again.
  6. Yes, you are delusional. You are trying to say that ae mobs die on command, yet non ae mobs are a threat. I dont know what game you are playing but it isnt COH. I can choose my enemies just fine in the open world.

  8. no rewards happen unless something is defeated(except for mission bonus which doesnt happen in AE) people are whining because farmers are doing more than them and getting rewarded for it. They NEVER get this mythical 10x rewards people have made up.
  9. I run fire brutes through all sorts of content, although I have been doing fire tanks lately. I kinda like tanks better. I wasnt really happy with the stone chnages so I dont really run them much anymore. Dont assume that fire brutes are all farm. only 1 of mine has farmed and I have 6 that I play.

  11. are you suggesting that they put a timer between levels? I can pl a character fast through TFs, are you wanting to nerf those also?
  12. good thing you dont get 10x rewards in AE. problem solved!!!! you know I have to do 100 points of damage to kill a 100 hp opponent anywhere in the game? Including AE? sounds like there isnt a problem to solve here.
  13. The game has a system of rewards. It has been in place since the game was first written. Various critters of various levels have a value when defeated. Depending on your level is how much you get for defeating them. They dont reward anything if bypassed. Some of the people in this discussion want to try and balance based on the total sum of income of a player. Others understand that the game is balanced so that we get rewarded for what we defeat, no more no less. If player A defeats 10 bosses at level 54 while at level 50 they will get x inf and y xp. Player b defeats 20 bosses at level 54 while at level 50 and get 2x inf and 2y xp. This is in no way unfair. you get what you produce. changing this will not help the game. Should the game reward outcomes that do not include defeating enemies? Mission completion bonuses address this giving people playing in missions an edge. Trying to balance the game based on the location of the defeats would be a mess.
  14. Some people farm. some people repeat tfs. some people repeat itrials. Its not a new game. there are 3 people actually working on new stuff. If we dont find what WE find enjoyable to repeat, we will be moving on.
  15. The original devs made a system with different enemy groups having different strengths and weaknesses and damage types. it is pretty much a staple of this game. To get rid of that would make it a completely different game really. Yes, some enemy groups will be weak against some armors, but that is just the way it is. I just wish they would unnerf regen and make it useful again.
  16. That comes back to pre alpha when the devs made typed damage to make set choice matter. If thats a problem, you are probably in the wrong game
  17. Fire farming doesnt give the best rewards. I I kill a boss at lvl 54 in a maria jenkins arc, it gives x rewards. if I kill a lvl 54 boss in a fire farm it gives the same. or is it .5? Yes, the farmer will kill 40 of those bosses in a run, but the reward per boss is the same. Now a marketeer makes 1000x that reward in 10 min. with zero risk. fire farming does NOT give the best rewards in the game.
  18. so people will start excluding people that arent maxed out? is that the game we want or is that an attempt to copy wow?
  19. So if I sit in a glowie mission and take 4 hours to find it, should that effect other peoples rewards? When I solo a Dr Q tf should I get a 40 million inf bonus because it takes a while? xp/inf per kill is basically the only metric they can go by. That Uber-doober fire farmer is putting a lot of bad guys in prison, thats why he gets what he does. Just what rewards should they give the guy soloing radio missions? what numbers can they apply to a chart to give them a fair reward structure? Other than "he got a bigger piece of cake than I did" ps: Try the all illusion ITF, its a blast.
  20. I dont really care about reward per hour. they can put time gates that stop you after you have earned x amount but that wouldnt be much fun. Should everyone stop and wait for the guy street sweeping or maybe the guy that is switching back and forth to netfix to catch up? If I kill 2 minions and an LT and you do the same we should get the same reward. If I go afk to chat with my wife, should you have to stop playing too? the only real fair way is to just reward us when we defeat enemies, not run a time clock operation.

You can design characters resistant to just about anything in the game(other than hami) If I build a character and stick to the opponents I am specialized to defeat, is it cheating? or is it playing smart? Is a kill all ITF exploiting anything? we are talking rewards. Kill x and get y. Do we penalize smart players now?
  22. its an activity in the game. We keep seeing people tell us that farming has disproportionate rewards and that all playstyles should reward equally. Farmers get rewarded for defeating enemies, nothing else.
  23. how do you balance risk? strip all IO's off at the door to make everyones defenses equal? Is a farmer at less risk than a capped brute doing a +4 MLTF? do they just nerf all content you dont like?
  24. the rewards for rp'ing are nerfed by pretty much everything. Farming has good rewards because you are defeating a lot of enemies. Run a ITF and you can do the same. you are rewarded x inf and y xp for each minion, Lt and boss. Do you suggest that they should intentionally under reward one playstyle so that you dont feel bad? It boils down to the fact that farmers kill 500 enemies in the time you kill 100, and you think that this is unfair. Farmers are actually getting less already, but they are so much more productive that it appears they are making more. Adding a timer on enemy defeats wouldnt go over very well, there is no real way to normalize kill rates.

I have a question. the xp nerf incoming, evidently a bug, does it only effect AE? things have been going great for 2 or so years now, would it hurt to leave it? is this something the devs are rock solid on? I have never seen AE as mandatory, I prefer to level my toons in TFs. I am not a fan of the agro change as it will interfere with me soloing dr q tfs. I really dont care how long it takes you to level to 50, I just want others to pay me the same courtesy. I have farmed a little, not a huge fan of it, but I have zero problem with it.
