What should the aggro cap on Homecoming be?
ivanhedgehog replied to oedipus_tex's topic in General Discussion
right now there is less reason to invite a second tank or brute. they do less damage. It would make teams that coordinate easier, which is as it should be. there are some roles that you wouldnt want multiples of on a team. empath or rad are good examples. you sont need an empath, rad or tank right now, but they do come in handy. -

If tanks have a raised agro cap, say 25 or 34, they would have increased utility in teams. Making them more useful instead of more powerful. It would be worth a teams time to let their agro management experts control the flow of battle. There is a lot of space between current agro cap and no agro cap, it isnt one or the other. Maybe letting null the gull set the cap at set points, 16,24,34,40. The numbers arent important, that would be for the devs to decide. But it would give tanks/brutes a reason to be. -

you seem determined to derail this thread . why is it so important to you that you need to rudely talk over people? Who died and elected you to crusade about this? -
I am against scaling. part of the fun is dealing with enemies at the level they are. how do you deal with them with only the powers of that level? That is part of the fun. not having your full kit adds to it. I tend to do lower level tfs with a toon about the appropriate levl. I have to agree with the kill alls in nearly identical missions. gets boring fast. Dr Q I am looking at you.

You have a limit. unslot the incarnate when doing such content. Problem solved. -

If you dont know what doesnt give xp, you dont play the game. communications officers dont give rewards and neither do their summons. As for the devs time, I am just as right to give my 2 cents worth as to what I would like the devs to spend or not spend as you are to be suggesting nerfs to rewards. Commentors do NOT have to make their own threads just so you can claim ownership rights to this part of the forum turf. Pretty much all of us can claim times we have been asshats, I dont find it appropriate for anyone here to make a thread calling somone one I know I am that way at times, that is why I quit PVP. -

people that want incarnates removed from use can form tfs/raids etc that advertise "no incarnates" everyone can unslot their incarnates at no cost and go to town. If there arent enough people that want that, well that speaks for itself. -

you must not play the game. There are a number of mobs that give zero rewards. They shouldnt spend time on it because it does the player base zero benefit. New content and new zones/ats/power sets give us new and exciting things to do. nerfing our rewards, not so much. -

it makes up for all the places that have risk and zero reward. Or do you want the devs to spend a bunch of time reworking those? Generally, when someone complains about wanting to increase difficulty, they want to increase other people difficulty, as they can do their own easily. The main reason that hami goes down easily is that people have been doing it a long time. they know exactly what to do to defeat him. The devs dont need to spend time to satisfy your OCD difficulty problem. -

I agree. If you dont want incarnate powers, dont use them Things that you can do.. 1. sponsor an all no incarnate Hami raid. everyone remove their slotted powers. This can work for any TF also. 2. Sponsor a no pet Hami. 3. Sponsor a lower max person Hami. This way you dont effect anyone elses game experience and dont take any of our volunteer devs time. One of the reasons this game is so awesome is the ability to customize your own game play experience. -
I have a question. Could we set it up with one badge per character unlocks for that character but every badge in every zone unlocks for the account? Maybe badges for getting all of paragon city, all of red side, all of praetoria? Kind of like loremaster in wow. Those would be worthwhile even without the unlock.
-
How about it if they made you unlock it with pvp kills? would you understand people not wanting to have to do a game mode they dont enjoy that way?
-
No class owns a mechanic. Do blasters own ranged damage? No. That being said, I like the new EM, I mained one on live until they butchered it.

The structure of the change was decided before we were even told what was happening. We were pretty pointedly told that our feedback wasnt wanted if it was anything else than polish of the already decided changes. Many stopped giving feedback at that point. The change to the game has made travel quite a bit slower. People will get over it eventually but it was not an improvement to the game. ps:I shouldnt have to have a spreadsheet with all my characters to figure out what zones they have unlocked. Once you are on the tf and realize that you havent gotten that zone, its too late to fix.

Focused Feedback: Energy Melee Revamp

agreed. I am ready for it now -
the ss tfs are a small small part of travel. No idea why you are fixated on this. New players dont have the inf to both build a character and blow all their money on a 10 million inf sink. they run their tfs at levels much lower than 50, where they arent getting the cash you seem to think is available. The devs are taking away a travel system and replacing it with a complicated mess. They have been given suggestions as to how to make it simple and easy, but they seem to have an agenda that precludes this. If it was just to get rid of the / command and the exploit it would be simple. Looks like it isnt just about those
-
You are obviously not ex military. they understand blue force/red force
-
They will most likely be using those merits to build the character, they dont have a supply stashed away. and they dont get the merits until AFTER they do the SS tf. New players barely have money for so's. Even if they are torching their merits for cash, they wont have nearly enough to blow it all on 1 10 million travel power that you have to wait 10 min for it to be ready again.
