I just want to add one last thing to this conversation. Talk about how the community is toxic, how people hate farmers, how farmers feel their 'jobs' are being taken by the devs: I've been around these forums for a good while and it boils down to about five people on each side. Outsiders will quip in and put their opinion, but it's the same five or so people on each side. Huge threads, big 'the people' arguments, and it's about five people on one side and five people on the other side. Overall ten people are making this huge brouhaha as if the world was coming apart. To put it in perspective we currently have about 250 people online. I side on the side I feel is right even when the other side mocks me. I get this from my parents (-very- good natured, nothing toxic in it) where if I side with one side it's the boys grouping against the sole woman in the house, and if I side with the other then it's the baby chick siding the momma chicken (translations suck but y'get the gist). I tell them I go with the side I believe is right. I can be wrong in my opinion, but that's how it is. Outside the ten people I talk of I see this happen often enough. People chime in on side or the other as they see fit. They may defend or disagree not because the topic is farming or devs, but in a case by case basis. Anyway, there is nothing left to argue here. Devs were asked why they did it, devs answered. The vocal five reaction is 'you're lying' and at this point what discourse can be had?

I see what you are saying and I bear you no ill will. I don't say this sarcastically but it needs repeating since text medium. The problem with all of this is that it keeps on hitting the key that the devs are malicious entities who lie to their playerbase for ill defined reasons no one has given good cause for. It is not like they have to justify themselves, or that they need to hide things so we don't find out. The rested XP being abused by the player base was an abuse and fixed. The double XP giving more XP than intended was a bug and fixed. Any other game that had such bugs (and we've had some interesting bugs in other games such as buying an item from a vendor and selling it back for a profit leading to millions in the bank) had them fixed presto, but here with a tiny team who half learns-as-they-go and does not have a large play testing base this bug fixing when found is considered nefarious. Look at your example. People say that the devs tweaked the values of XP to have an excused to lower the XP so that they can say that they are ok with farming while lowering the value of farming. How flat earth level conspiracy theory is this? From game devs who do not need to appease shareholders and do not need to calm down players who pay a sub. What they -do- want is to have people come out of the AE and play the rest of the game but there is no tweaking of rewards that can happen before the bugs are removed. But this is just like arguing with a flat earther. Logic has no sway. 'Is that what you believe, SHEEPLE?', 'I don't drink that koolaid, BRO'.

They got to be kidding with the Seismic Blast on a Sentinel

Snarky, no. -
(...) You aren't "owed" triple XP, or 2.1x inf*, or two extra chances for drops on every defeat, just for being a farmer, or a role-player, or a story arc runner, or a *F speed-runner, or anything else. You get what everyone else gets. That's equality. If you can't handle being equal to others, stick to single-player games. Paraphrasing what someone said much better in another thread: there was a bug that gave more XP thanks to the double boosters, and you guys are advocating that the bug should have stayed since it had been that way for a long while. What if the bug was that you got less XP with the double booster? Would you be advocating to let the bug stay because it had been like this for a long time? People need to be a little bit less hypocrites.

Feed me more MM runs. I'm teetering between putting time on mine or just stare at the character creator.

'Would' be really weak? A-are you making a complaint about something without even having tried it....? ... -
It's comic book science. People are invisible but can still see, shoot fire from their hands, break the speed of sound running. At some point you just need to accept 'it works, because' is the explanation. As someone else said 'just because we don't understand how something works does not stop it from working'.

No one? So far leveled to 8 and tried to duo a Posi 1, but Rejuvenating even five slotted healed for crap. 37 HP every 6 seconds did not keep my pets or team mates up.

-Still- going on, and in the best spirit of DBZ the kids grew up, the main characters got old, had kids of their own, who are now grown up as well. No deaths yet but the older characters are getting long on the tooth.

Knowing the game I just moved things around for the changes to Tankers and Brutes and cooked up builds for those ATs, but MMs are not my realm of expertise to do the same. So any builds you vets have cooked up with the changes? Obviously take Maintenance bot and ... slot it for heals, I guess? But the shift of the resists to the upgrade skills and the pet resist/defense IOs etc?
-
It was rushed, but rushed for a reason and not a random decision. Faultline is off and away for a while due to RL and he was/is the compile guy so until he is back no more patches. So Page 5 had to be done before he left.
-
I agree with whatever solution that does not involve messing with other players. It's needed and adds a substantial survival boost to all ranged MMs.
-
Page six-ish apparently. But that's only coming in spring-ish.

Find your nearest trainer/tailor, and check the animations for Crippling Axe Kick. You have it set to the alternate animation which is a punch.

I can post both builds if you'd like. Cleave, Swoop, Gash, Chop. Repeat. I tried to remove one attack to save on slots but the recharges don't allow it. Using Pendulum is an option instead of Chop (more damage even, in theory since Mids was not updated yet) but double the endurance cost. I sub Chop for Burn since it's poorly slotted due to slot starvation. Sub Chop for Hasten as well, Build-up, etc, since otherwise I am just delaying Cleave to use my weakest attack. Not happy with how it ended up due to needing so many powers and slots. Resistances are finished with a second ATO stack and Barrier's 5%. E/N is slightly behind thanks to the change to Consume's slotting and I haven't fixed it yet. As it is right now E/N is at 76 + 6.7 = 82.7 + 5 = 87.7 + 1 from the Scaling resist 88.7%. Mids does not have healing sets in Consume yet but I figure three +5 Panaceia to maximize the +HP: For Stone it's the same rotation but much simpler since I only sub Chop for Build-up/Hasten even if it much better slotted with Stone: That said I noticed in-game the the Fire/Axe was still using Beheader instead of Chop so I went to break a few more pylons after a respec: 4:52 4:44 For the heck of I tried without Burn as well: 4:11. Well, okay then. 4:49. Hrrm... CoH, never change. Maybe it was a fluke then. One last try. 4:09. Or not. Burn is definitely unhelpful even with double fire patch under FE. At least for Axe which is what I tested. I suppose this leaves Fire/Axe decently ahead compared to Stone with almost or a minute better times.

Focused Feedback: Fiery Melee Revamp

IG was busted, like Burn was. It wasn't the right moment to fix it without giving the rest of the tweak a pass Powerhouse really hated how broken it was, sot that's what happened. Maybe if people didn't brag so hard about their AFK farming it wouldn't have happened without the pass. The argument made was about -def being a sneaky anti-farm decision and that's what I was answering to. I'm not Powerhouse or even a dev though, but at this point I believe even if the man came out and explained you'd still say he was lying and it was to nerf farming. -

It's the very first button, '1' and it never goes on CD for the whole fight(s). -

As pointed out the mortar poison trap was not used on purpose to show it could be done without -regen. It's in the name of the video. -

That was delightfully impressive. I loved how your bots survived the ordeal. -

...you just ignored everything I typed, didn't you? Including the 'nerf' was so moustache twirling cartoonishly inept that players fixed it under two minutes and then the devs threw their hands up in the air and gave up because they had been foiled and why would trying to do it again if players were just going to fix it again. ... Anyway, the -def was to slot more and different sets. Including, of course, the infamous -res one, on top of all the other damage procs if so inclined. Yes, Powerhouse is aware that Achiles exists and giving access to it to FM would add even more power to it. Do I agree with how it was done? No. FM needed a boost and it got a boost, but it isn't really a FM boost. But it's still a boost and FM went from being crap to being pretty good on top of dealing the least resisted damage, so I will take it. I doubt I will make your mind be changed by any of this, but I will just be repeating myself by adding more to this.
