Look under options when you first open Tequila. Make sure you don't have anything in the box at the top.

That happened to us a few days ago. I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not at the time. And then when we tried to run it again the doppelgangers spawned all weird with doubles of some characters and none of the others. Needless to say, we didn't complete Posi that day.

People are having issues getting/staying connected all over since the last patch. Either the servers are just swamped or the techies are aware of the issue and working on it, in which case if they stop to talk to everyone with the issue it will just take longer to fix. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of actual support in the forums, but I am going to give the GMs the benefit of the doubt for now. Who knows? They might not know what's causing the problems either. They might just be the messengers.

How long are you spending in character creation? I know it does that to me sometimes if I take too long. Or if the server has any hiccups and has to be restarted while you are creating you'll get that problem. Save the costume and Power customization and everything, then back out to login, and create the character quickly from save files to avoid that if it's an issue. Also try a different starting point and see if that helps. It may just be too crowded.

If you get all the badges from Faultline and Echo:Faultline you still have them all. I think if you look under "Badges" on the forum index there is a thread that explains in detail.

Check your mouse settings? I don't know why anything in a CoH patch would have messed with them. There are also a few mouse options in game you might need to tweak. Is it happening outside of the game at all? It could just be a coincidence and it's starting to go kaput or at least needs a good blow out with some compressed air.

I'm not sure if there's any support for Island Rum itself on these forums. Or the discord for that matter. My best advice is to read up/ask questions here, just try not to make it all about the Homecoming servers, as Titan Network is unaffiliated. Can you open Icon instead of Homecoming by any chance? If neither of them work it might help to diagnose. P.S.- They are working on a program that will replace Tequila and Island Rum, and it should have better tech support. Hopefully it will be ready soon.

*slow clap* I think you just solved half the threads in this forum. The servers are just swamped constantly. And until more folks are willing to move over to practically empty Reunion we aren't going to get any more new shards.

It shouldn't, but then at this point I'm tossing around ideas to see if it solves the issue. Might not hurt to uninstall, download a fresh copy and do it again. Just save your costume and customization directories first. Tequila is out of the picture once you are connected, so it really shouldn't affect game play. The Score.exe might have something to do with it. There is nothing to uninstall with Tequila. You just delete it. But first you should go into options and hit re-validate. It will repair anything that isn't how it's supposed to be.

Have any of you filed a ticket on this? With this many of you having the issue and no response here I assume the GMs are too busy too keep up with the forum as well as the discord and the ticket system.

Each account has to link to its own individual forum account, so you will need a separate forum account to create a separate game account.

No idea if this will help but someone suggested a while back that the manifest should now be http://savecoh.com/manifest.xml

A reinstall won't help with this. Login information has nothing to do with any part of the game installed on your system. File a ticket through the link on the forum homepage so a GM can help you.

Double click the word Homecoming at the top. ;)

Go into the CoH folder and find the file Tequila.xml. Delete it and then try running Tequila again. It will replace the file you deleted and hopefully solve your issue. If not we might have to get some more details.

Even in windowed mode, if it's on auto-hide, the task bar can be pesky. I don't play full screen so I'm not sure how much more annoying your problem is than when I just accidentally mouse to the bottom of the screen, but check the auto-hide. You might find it makes a difference.

Why is everyone always in such a hurry to reinstall the program? The first step if it's giving you issues is to go into options and hit re-validate. There is almost NEVER a need to delete every CoH file and re-download it. Re-validating scans the files and if anything is amiss it downloads only what it needs to repair. At most you might have to delete Tequila.exe and re-download it, but don't reinstall the whole game for every little issue. DBServer suggests to me that it's an external issue, not one with your computer, MiniMega. Especially since so many people were having the same issue around the same time. If you managed to get in and play for awhile it's definitely not something that requires a reinstall. If you need to move it to a new folder as suggested, you can, so long as you point Tequila to the new location. I'm not sure why that would make a difference though.

There should be some lined up right near the contact. They won't con as enemies because they are training dummies, but you can target them.

Seriously, most of the people who are playing here weren't even privy to the drama that happened to get us where we are now. If it weren't for posts like this they wouldn't even have reason to doubt their newfound re-found happiness, because they never even knew about it. What's the worst thing that could happen? They shut the server down and we have to go find a different one to play on? I trust them at least enough not to do that without some warning. But y'all need to let the people work. Stop asking for everyone to justify themselves until they are forcing you to give them your money. Oh, wait, they can't actually do that. ::) That being said, thanks to LEO and SCORE and the HOMECOMING TEAM and anyone else who had a hand in making this happen. I don't care if you are all secretly teamed up with Nemesis and Praetor Cole and the devil itself, NCSoft. I can play my favorite game again and that is all that should matter to ANY of us. <3 <3 <3

They're doing the patch right now aren't they? That's why the login server is down? Also... /e squees all over the place at the costuming updates I'm so freaking excited to see my makeup now!!!

The same thing happened when they first got the servers up and running. There are literally too many Level 1 characters running around all at once for the spawn to keep up. They've had record numbers this weekend though, what with school being out and it being a holiday weekend in the States. It's not as big a problem during non peak hours.

MassivelyOP did an article about them. It's probably you're best source for all the various infos. Or links at least.

Is "/typing your message here" only a Paragon Chat thing?
