  1. Yes, if a mod wants to move the thread that would be fine, and yes, considering that option, I would think it would be possible to do on a global-level instead of leaving it to the individual to find out who are all the devs and GMs and so on and follow every account on their personal account
  2. That's why I stressed that you can expect to get zero new content with the same arguments used against any and all changes to the blue/purple caves
  3. Would be nice if this could be created for us. It can be difficult to keep up with everything in every thread - not sure if this is possible with the current software used though.
  4. For Thugs/Traps you can softcap yourself AND your pets though, so the bodyguard argument isn't as powerful as you think it might be. I get what you are saying, but softcapping yourself instead of just going max resist protects against all the debuffs you would eat, which is also why Regen and Electric Armor have some issues in my opinion.

  6. There is also a disconnect from some thinking designer and designer tools are all that is involved. Creating the actual map content from nothing is what I was leaning towards and not just design. I am not talking about piecing rooms together. I mean actual polygon and texture creation, not what a designer typically does. I am not talking about making maps out of already-constructed art assets.

  8. That's fine, recreation in the new tools is great; but a couple people are fighting really hard to not get any improvements made at all to what in my eyes gets an awful lot of complaints over the years: the blue/purple caves
  9. Well, let's clarify that we are talking about MMs in general and not your very narrow use case of one character with a specific combo and specific build
  10. Again, I want to stress: if updating cave maps is too labor intensive, you are also basically saying that any new content/maps will never happen from now until the end of time for the exact same reasons you are providing, only that new stuff is far worse as far as that goes.

  12. Have to disagree about provoke. Secondary is Traps. Provoke isn't necessary when you have Seeker Drones. Fire them off, they take the alpha which allows you to walk up and drop Poison Trap with the Field following you. Drop Acid Mortar, then Web Envelope everything (or just start with Web Envelope which will make them aggroed also) and the fire patches from your pyro will deal their full damage since they can't run away. I thought a single Run Speed IO basically maxed out SS by the way, since it has a cap. I can't imagine wasting 2 more slots on a movement speed that is capped, plus some people skip movement powers entirely for temp movement powers or even Ninja/Beast Run.

  14. Interesting, I assume that means any other map work would also be similar, so the possibility of new maps with new textures for any kind of brand new content will never, ever, ever happen because that would be even worse. Removing them from radio rotation - would that be easier?

  17. Any time I'm on a radio team someone always complains about the blue/purple cave maps, and I don't blame them.
  18. I've been offline a lot because of some huge video transcoding projects I've been involved with, and I'm not using any offsets 😜 When things aren't so crazy I will fire it back up.

  20. Well, to be fair, radius is a decent balancing factor especially when you get into things like The Underground trial and such
  21. The two we don't have in the game is cold and smashing as far as I know, if you consider World of Confusion a damage aura. Incarnate Interface is also missing these damage types - I would suggest if one was to be created, that it would be along the lines of the other control types Spiritual and Cognitive where there are chances for knockdown or fear along with Smashing etc. I guess I should start another thread for that though.
  22. As far as the challenge argument goes, I'd say that only applies to aggro management specifically in the cake room. The rest of the blue/purple cave design aren't a challenge at all and is more of an aggravation issue and as has been mentioned many times by others a mob spawn problem. Navigation is not confusing to me at all as I've had them committed to memory a long time ago, rather movement and restrictions are just a chore and only a challenge in the sense of not letting the annoyance get to you. As far as removal over recreation goes, I was fairly specific about radio missions in the OP.
  23. This is why I was so specific - I mentioned possible recreation if not removal of the blue/purple caves only and we all know why they are so disliked. Yes it is true that the torches problem for other maps are incredibly annoying but it is not what I am addressing in the thread. I also like some other cave maps like I said earlier and never asked that all of them be removed.

  25. Don't be dismissive like you have been so far then. No improvements are allowed, can't even discuss it. Don't want to hear it. That can be seen as rather disrespectful as well. Let's not go after each other like this.
