Thermal, Pain, Cold? I want something that has a balance of keeping my pets alive and helping them take down enemies.

I don't like repeating powersets so close in character creation, and I'm already using a Dark/Dark controller, so not sure if Dark is a good option in this case, or maybe go Earth or Plant? Then again, I might want to remake my Plant/Thorns dominator at some point so...any suggestions?

Whether its because it gets the most benefit to them, or it's just easy to use, take your pick.

Same here, I remember making a eng/eng blaster, running up to a guy and punching him. When he flew back 20 feet I couldn't stop laughing for several minutes. Fell in love with this game back in 2005. Now, too bad there's no way to make all KB to KD without having to what, use a IO of that type in each attack, or do you just use them in say AOEs?

It's enjoyable, character creation ALONE kept me playing for years, the fact that you honestly didn't need to kill yourself gearing up, just needed to grind up some money and maybe get a bit of luck instead of "I did this bleeping TF 20 times and still haven't gotten the ONE PIECE I need!" And now you can do that all the time. Meanwhile, I tried to start up STO again after 6 years, and I'm drowning in what to do.

I remember having to IO up a Spines/Dark Scrapper back in the day. Oh I made friends with every Kin I could find until I was even half comfortable with him.

Going to remake what I think was my first Brute back in the day, a Dark/Fire due to two self heals, and because I always liked that "shadows and flame" description of the Balrog in LOTR. However, as my Brute was Dark/Fire for the heals due to soloing a lot, I have to ask, how is Fire/Dark?

This was my first MMO back in 2004/2005? I quit Diablo 2 because I was tired of playing and getting crappy loot, nearly started buying stuff 3rd party-that was my cue to quit. One of the people at my job told me about the game, I got a trial CD, and loaded it up. My first char was a Eng/Eng blaster. When at Level 1 I could punch a guy and saw him fly 20 feet backwards, I couldn't stop laughing. I missed this game badly, and when it came back I was thrilled. While I miss all my old characters, and also haven't played since late August due to other games/work, as long as this is around, it'll always have a warm spot in my heart. Any game where you can have just fun while NOT having to necessarily kill yourself for the best gear-just a couple weeks of patience at 50 to get the ball rolling.....Excelsior!

I played for 3 months straight coming back in late May, just taking a break for other games, and my DVR, Netflix, and Amazon Prime has been screaming at me. I'll just say this-if this gets shut down again-I don't care where it pops up again-I can't start up again. I can't start from scratch for a 3rd time. I no longer have the time frame and life to let me play COH/V like I did from 2005-2009, I just can't.

Ok, so my char concept is that he's a being of pure mental energy, placed in a artificial suit/body in order to better direct his power at the bad guys. Said suit/body also provide some defenses. Now, my options are Fire, Elec, EA, or Bio-with the FX turned off in that case. Feel free to give me your thoughts!

I dunno, I have the Degen proc on my MM, and I'm going through combat log of every one of my attacks, and...zilch.

I'm looking at Control myself. One side offers a +1 magnitude, the other offers a stun if the enemy is feared and immob. I'm a Dark/Dark controller, so I have fear and immob aplenty.

My Dark/Dark Controller is stuck between getting the Noble Brute/Overseer combo from Rularru, or the Ravager/Defiler combo from Banished Pantheon. Thoughts?

He's not wrong. I did this for my blaster, and boy can it work wonders.

True, but the funny thing was, I had to unslot and reslot the power to get it to kick in.

Well, I do now sometimes see the yellow glow, I knew it was my proc because no one else was beating on this boss.
