  1. I never think of damage type or enemy resistances. I am quite happy to encounter Council however
  2. I played one once. I took it to level 49 and realised I just could not go with the slowness of it, no matter how strong it was, so it was consigned to Toonheaven
  3. Kill them! Kill them all!!!
  4. This is a testament to the amazing flexibility of this great game. I love how you're thinking too!
  5. I've created a few iterations across servers to try them them out and see how they play. I'm currently having a LOT of fun in Khalisti with a ToT team with a Symphony/Mental Dominator Interestingly, adding Wall of Force gives me a good choice of cones so I can get a nice number of bad guys lined up and give 'em the works so to speak, then pick the remainders off with ST powers. This could be fun. I love how many great suggestions you guys have come up with - this one is red side - but do you think there's mileage to be had in a aquatic based mind control SG?
  6. I did think about the trident option - the issue there is I'm not keen on melee toons generally and I dislike how staff fighting plays for me, but it's still a great suggestion.
  7. I think you'll find those were triffids
  8. *coughs* I'm going to be totally honest and say I didn't even notice that Mental Manipulation had been ported to Blasters - so no, not off the table, ignorance on my part. I did not look at blasters because a) I didn't think there would be powers to fit and I don't personally see the character as being all about the damage, more about control/debuffs - a somewhat sneaky thing that is untrustworthy. I had not considered the siren powers but this fits well with my internal concept - I do like the idea of a Symphony/Mind control character but that seems realistic only as a dominator - which I have minimal experience of so it would be a cool thing to try. This was kind of a core part of my thinking. Sharks - an affinity to Mako - the power of the ocean rather than Leviathan. I had also considered "Force of Will" pool as the primary component of her mental side - which is doable but then leaves gaps in other sets making it difficult to get other powers in. I'm seriously impressed by your input guys, many thanks. I am going to enjoy experimenting
  9. My urinal says "Armitage Shanks" but that's not true either! 🤣
  10. I was musing as I am oft wont to do and I came up with an interesting name for a character: Mesmermaid... I'm guessing you don't need me to explain in too much detail what her power sets should be. I thought to myself "I should try and make that in CoH" - so I logged in and tried to roll something appropriate. It's harder than it seems. Mind control/Psychic powers are readily available, as is Water Blast. But combining the two is not possible. It seems they are all primary (or secondary) sets (depending on your perspective and AT selection) After a few abortive attempts at... something I gave up and thought I'd throw it out here as a concept for you good people to get your teeth into. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I deliberately haven't shared my own thoughts into her abilities and powers, nor her looks. I have my mental concept but I'd really like for you guys to share yours without my colouring your ideas. Feel free to share everything.
  11. You may wish to visit St Petersburg in Russia sometime. They will tell you at length, in great detail, how theirs is the deepest subway system on the planet, passing as it does under the Neva river. There are plenty of flood doors and escape routes but it is one of the smartest subway systems I've ever travelled. Depth is not insuperable.
  12. you idiot! you mentioned it! Sally's gonna get you
  13. FAB or as my namesake, Sir Paul Metcalf might say; "SIG"
  14. Exactly. It would be much better explained as "when the sidekick gets the cape" - you've done the hard yards, you're as good as your mentors (ie the Signature NPCs on whatever side you're on) and they have nothing else to teach you. But now there's an event that needs all your skill and bravery - and a lot of team mates too - to resolve. Now you're as good as you can be it's up to you to develop new skills, learn new moves, create new powers to be the best you can be. Have at it, and go save the City!"
  15. Mine is the Well of the Furies. I junk that shit. The Menders are just hippies on some trip. The real power is from within the character, not some external thing that "lends" you its power because you're already tough. I truly loathe that episode and it came close to ruining the game for me because it's so poorly told and such a feeble plot line so in my own head it's irrelevant and I do my own thang
  16. Perhaps this is the wrong question. Let's refine it You decide on the toon you're going to keep. Because that's relatively easy. It's your "favourite" (insert reason why it's your favourite here... ) Get rid of it. Which non-fave toon do you retain over all of them?
  17. Isn't that what the comicbook character was? Ok this is a different version of her, packing a lot of fear and an horrendous childhood into the mix - giving her some real depth. She wasn't simply psycho, she was pretty broken.
  18. I can't wait til the Devs release this as a secondary power set! Probably for outta Controllers to begin with, followed maybe by Stalkers
  19. Technically it's "Photographic reflexes" so he can mimic any move, whoever might pull them off, but he's been through a few different iterations and has evolved somewhat but it seems he can do anything that whoever he's up against can do.
  20. Not to mention Gill Strike and Tail Slap
  21. They did her great for that series and it worked great. She had a great role and was central to the plots of several seasons.
