We're continuing our Goldside Saturday challenge. This week we will be starting from the training zone with brand new characters. Well it's hotting up. Headingley always produces a result and this was... awful. It shredded my nerves. I almost wish we'd been dumped out ignominiously on day three but suddenly it's an entirely different series. England women are also on the fightback and have now pretty well drawn level after losing the Test. It could even be argued that they are in the box seat, having lost the test by a narrow margin but winning the shorter versions - and Australia are not looking confident. They aren't used to this level of competition. But this for me, has been the result of the summer so far:

you might want to keep your UI "uncluttered" but believe me, there's a huge penalty for doing so in this game. I have my UI set up with 7 trays by default. Not every tray is filled with powers but the top three are completely full, then I have others for temp powers, purchasable travel powers, stuff form P2W, Costume powers, a rubber duck, a cutlery set, saucepans, a handy desktop beer fridge, shark repellent spray*, various domestic appliances and a cuddly toy Think of your trays as your utility belt. You need to take what you need to take. By not making use of the flexibility of the UI you are probably deliberately gimping yourself. *Not guaranteed effective vs Cap'n Mako

I think you only have to look at the viability of the successor projects to see this could turn into a fool's errand. It takes huge skilz and coordination, not to mention time, of professional coders to create stuff. Even in environments that welcome user generated content, such as Second Life, some of that is a) crap and b) often doesn't work as intended and c) requires a very steep learning curve to create. I also think this game is amazing. For all its age, spaghetti code, and other perceived "failings" - it works, it gets new content provided by an unexpected source, and offers us repeated playability over literally decades. If it ain't broke...

I get the same on a completely different PC with a different browser. Clearing cache didn't work either

I often use -Res procs but I tend to play de/buffers rather than damagy type toons - so it seems that makes more sense. If you have doubts, try both and see which seems to work better for you

I thought we'd got a calendar here but I looked in the pull down and we have Events, but it seems to be non-functioning. Seems to me a user editable calendar where events can be posted might be a useful addition to the fora!

Well levels depend on how successful we are and how much participation we have. The best I can suggest is join when you can and we'll take it from there! 👍

So far the intention is for this to be a regular event. I think the plan is to take our existing toons through to 50 doing all the Praetorian content - then come back with new chars and do the other three branches of the gold arcs. I don't know if we'll stick to that order of course
