  1. I believe what you want is under Upper Body --> Sleeveless Jackets, then Jackets --> Mini Vest
  2. Interesting; is there a way to disable this feature in browser settings? There are situations (common for me, maybe not for others) where I definitely want the page to load this sort of content up front.
  3. How is your post any different than what you are (incorrectly) accusing someone else of doing? You are attempting to make someone feel bad for presenting their personal opinion, i.e., trying to shame them into feeling bad about themselves. Never mind that you took his meaning completely out of context and stretched it to a point far beyond the rational; on it's own the hypocrisy in your post is so strong as to invalidate itself.
  4. (boldface added for emphasis) A bit of an introvert myself, I can definitely appreciate this. However, it is also one of the key reasons for not maintaining/bringing back Galaxy City; it just did not get as much use. While a few people here have stated how they always used GC, "the plural of anecdote is not data" as they say. The fact is that it was a much less travelled zone, and as such it is difficult to justify the effort it would take to bring it back.
  5. So this is one point in favor of it just being a matter of personal opinion rather than platform. I look at the image you posted, and it looks terrible to me. Way too much horizontal eye scanning needed to process what's on the page! And if my post had been shorter, it still would have taken up just as much vertical space. I think the new format looks the worst on single-line posts.
  6. I don't have a build myself, but there are several posted in the Peacebringer & Warshade forum: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/23-peacebringer-amp-warshade/ Maybe something there will help!
  7. It seems there is a lot of polarization on the new forum layout; people either seem to love it or hate it. I have a theory that an individual's experience and opinion may be directly related to the platform they are viewing it on. I personally view this on various desktop browsers (Chrome, Opera, and IE), on monitors ranging from 14.1" to 28", and my experience has been consistently bad across all of these. I did check out the forums on my phone, and I do admit that it looks much better there. However, I spend most of my day in front of one computer or another, and so 99% of my time on the forums will be on a desktop platform, so the appearance on mobile devices really doesn't benefit me at all. So for others who either like or dislike the new look and functionality, what platform are you using? I'm curious to see whether there is any substance to this theory.
  8. I don't think that's as much of a problem as is the default size of the text compared to the width of the text window and of the avatar space on the left; posts of just a single line still take up much more space on the page than they should. I've had to change my browser zoom level just to make this forum slightly more readable, but it's annoying to have to use different zooms for different web pages.
  9. Thanks; I had looked under Account Settings and didn't find anything there.
  10. I don't know what "bits" are coming, but I'm more interested in efficient reading of content. Having massive empty space on each post, and only being able to see 2-3 short posts at a time is really going to slow my reading. Also, need a way to turn off the "ding" when someone makes a new reply; that's going to get annoying fast!
  11. I will echo this. On desktop at least, a LOT of wasted space, very inefficient display, and requires a lot of scrolling to read very little content.
  12. Huh odd, I just tried Crpreykoya (total gibberish) and it was unavailable. Interesting. Not a character, but I tried naming one of my MM's pets "Crow" and had similar results of the name being rejected. "Cro" was also out, but "Crooooow" was accepted. Maybe this is related on some level?
  13. That's just part of being a scrapper. Exactly my point.
  14. Not sure I have ever seen squishy and Scrapper in the same sentence. :) Hence the qualifier "somewhat". I've had scrappers that when soloing could easily get in over their heads when I'm not careful or just get unlucky with mob locations.
  15. I had actually been leaning towards Brute for the survivability aspect as I do solo a lot. I enjoy scrappers in general, but they can be somewhat squishy. However, you all have convinced me to give scrapper a try for this build. Thanks for the great feedback!
  16. I have a character concept I'm trying to bring to life using Psionic Melee and Shield Defense. I am considering either a Scrapper, Brute, or Tanker (I have enough Stalkers, and the style doesn't really fit the concept I'm going for). Aside from the general reasons for choosing these ATs, is there any reason that one would perform better than the other with regards to this particular combination of powers? For example, I had read some claims that SD actually works best on Scrappers, but I haven't seen an explanation as to why. Any input is appreciated!
  17. I'd settle for having more than two builds available. Even just having a third would be a welcome option.
  18. Is Praetoria not enough? ;) Or Mercy Island? We do technically have three starting areas; congestion would drop if people would use them all regularly. But I remember it being the same way on live before CoV/Going Rogue launched - most people piled into Atlas Park, while only a handful went to GC. Adding GC back as another starting zone will probably not have much impact. Now if the goal is just to add a little more variety at the lower levels, then I'm all for that. CoX is a game that practically encourages altitis, and HC even moreso, considering the 1000 character slots/server we have available. I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I tend to spend more time in the lower levels than anywhere else, as many alts I try out don't get much past the 15-20 range, so more content at the low end is always a plus.
  19. I'd love to see this paired with shields on a Sentinel; it would have a WWII Capt. America vibe. Of course, we'd also need to have shields for Sentinels.
  20. I have to say this is really good advice for Role Play! And Forum Posting... And Teaming... And RL! +1 Zolgar Meh. While the idea behind it may be good general advice, my experience has typically been that those who proclaim this phrase the most vocally are often also those most in need of following it. Not always of course, but regularly enough that it raises a red flag when I hear those words. No offense Zolgar; I only know of you what I've seen on these forums, and from what I've seen you appear to be a regularly helpful and respectful individual.
  21. Is "/emote none" what you're looking for?
  22. I'd almost rather see it left in it's pristine state. It's nice to have such a beautiful spot to enjoy in peace, and that can be used for public player gatherings without interruptions. Mobs on the streets would ruin the experience. But I suppose leaving it untouched would be considered a waste of space.
  23. I'm not an expert on SG bases, but just something I observed in my own experience: I was a guest in an SG base while on a team with members of the SG. When the team leader left, the leadership defaulted to me. A window popped up immediately trying to boot me to Atlas Park. From what I could tell, I would remain in the base until I chose an Atlas Park instance to go to, and I could not get rid of the window (I could hit cancel, but it would pop right up again). The only way I got rid of it and stayed in the base was by passing leadership to someone who was in the SG. I can assume that if there was only one instance of Atlas Park, and there was no decision to be made, that I would have been immediately kicked out of the base as soon as I left the team/became team lead. But as busy as AP is, you probably can't count on there being only one instance at the time you happen to want someone out of your base. At least you can know that as long as they stay in your base, they'll get an annoying window popping up until they leave. If there's no option to actually boot them from the base, you could always just put them on ignore (and get everyone on your SG to do likewise, at least those currently in the base). People like that tend to get bored pretty quickly when they realize no one is paying them any attention.
  24. As someone with relatively little experience in formal online RP, I'd like to see an explanation/definition of the various tags, codes, etc. used in chat. I see some of these used and I usually get the general idea, but don't understand the specific meaning. Such as, what's the difference between using (parentheses) or ((double parentheses))? A basic primer on how to use chat, emotes, or other communication tools for RP would be a huge help!
  25. Caveat: I have absolutely no idea how difficult this would be to do; it could be a simple tweak or a monumental effort. I'm just putting the idea out there to see if there's any interest. What: As a "nice to have", I'd like to see the ability to select different items from weapon powersets (shields, swords, staves, etc.), regardless of the character having those powersets. It would be a nonfunctional costume piece, having no bearing on actual powers or game play. Why: The motivation would be to enable certain character concepts, such as having powers rooted in an enchanted object. Imagine water powers controlled by the trident of Poseidon: currently there is a trident available, but only as a weapon skin for the staff powers. Maybe you want a medieval-armored character who carries a shield, but has no special abilities/powers around that shield. Being able to add weapons like this as a purely cosmetic costume piece would expand options for characters. Why not: I'm sure there are many other more pressing issues that need attention before a cosmetic issue such as this. Also, equipping such objects without the associated powers will certainly cause conflicts with power animations. Maybe these conflicts only result in animations looking a little awkward, maybe the problems are more significant; I have no idea.
