Dark (almost all) have a beautiful, simple to hit debuff. No Effing idea the magical connection or in game justification. You get hit by dark, you take a Neg? On the other hand Dark/Dark Blaster is a train wreck of mismatched and poorly performing powers otherwise. The game Devs give with one hand, and punch you right in the nuts with both hands afterward. No there definitely is. When you take your sword and light it on fire while chasing people around during LARPing their defense really goes to crap.

When needing constant upward acceleration I just alt hand over to the spacebar. Generally not in combat while doing this. But I use fly not Super Jump

Here is my setup. Of particular impotrance to your question in the Razer Tartarus unit. It has 20 programmable keys. (that is two powerbars worth, and really all you need) one for nearly every power you will regularly use on a build. It has a thumb joystick controller I use for movement and a button over the thumb i dedicate to target nearest. under the thumb is a twitch plate i use for spacebar (jump) Then a mouse with a couple more buttons....and there ya go

As a nod to the Halloween season and a tip of the hat to old Bank missions.... Can we get a contact for the Halloween season with a mission where the goal is to beat up Heroes and Longbow who are guarding kids as they ToT. Then take the kids candy! The Hero version....(boring) guard the kids as Villains and villain lackeys try to take the candy.

The elec/shield Brutes … or shield/elec Tanks would give you two of the charge abilities. If you want to truly buff a kinetics powerset was always great. An empath healer is great, as far as keeping a team up. I invite you to look at things like an ice/cold Corruptor as well. The debuffs on cold domination on this particular AT powersets combo is very powerful.

I use Rune of Protection on some of my Dark/Dark Brute builds. It is another layer of mitigation. Dark twists logic about how to build for survival into pretzels. Normally Def>Res>Heal and you build mostly to prioritize defenses. But Dark has almost zero native Defense and no DDR. So I build for resistance Then I rely on Dark’s non suppressed Stealth, to bit debuffs, mag 2 fear aura, mag 2 stun aura , great resistance and the best heal in the game up every 8 seconds on my build. With the Tank I do not need Rune of Protection but with the Brute it closes the gap to perfection during hard combats Other than this I rarely use it on any build unless it us a handy mule to slap. This would be when i have the extra power pick (rare) and I can slap a global defense proc in there that i would have placed elsewhere. Effective to save one enhancer slot on a build at the cost of a power pick I did not “need”

I can relate. Both to the bingeing and having my "treasures" buried here there and everywhere. I have discovered is is just more important to be a little bit creative today. The rest will (possibly) flow into place when it should.

If you had any sheet music I would love to see it, ESPECIALLY the melody line. I think it would be a geat bass riff but I would love to screw around on the guitar with it.

If it was a Dark powerset I would run it on Blaster or Sentinel and never look back. It is 100% ranged. You take a 100% ranged and the trade off in power (say compared to energy or fire) can be well worth it. Yes, you do less damage. Except when you just hang at range, rarely moving, and act as fire support. The time a normal Blaster or Sentinel spends repositioning is time they are not doing DPS. The time they take healing they are not… you get the picture. But you have to like the role If your goal is to throw out numbers that make a Pylon tremble you should prob take Beam Rifle

Composing is far (if ever) in my future. Short term goals on that are trying to copy Keith Richards style and build some repeating riffs to use over sections of songs. Thats as far as my compositional music dreams go. Strangely vocal is by its nature more improvisational than I ever dreamed. The more you chase tone and flow the less encumbered you are by words and meanings. Now I know why so many lyrics are hard to understand. The artist chased the sound at the expense of the clarity of speech.

They stack to 5x and can be a easy way (depending on your AT / Powers ) to cram on Recharge. If Recharge is really synergistic to your build probably a good idea. High Recharge is almost always good in CoX, as in most games. But not always. And there are balance points in a build where enough has to be enough and you need to get other build goals going. Cannot make good soup with just salt.
