  1. lot of white and gold.... I tend to have a blood dripping aura when I wear it to maintain some vampire touch lol
  2. Cosmic Associate is an AFK toon parked in the SG base so the farmers can dump recipes etc when no one else is on that can accept/organize. I will be reaching out to some folks and hopefully get you connected
  3. I have soloed very few AVs. Mostly because I am lazy. I had to solo the tree in the first Treespec for the badge. When i was in low 30s. That was a “story arc” toon and therefore had built up a small (and completely unused) army of temp summons as he completed various missions. I called everybody. It was not a good day for the tree
  4. I play in Cosmic Council. They are active and laid back while still being incredibly organized Cosmic does a series of Master Incarnate trials every Saturday and also has content throughout the week. Really good people
  5. I have one that i use. I will try to remember to post it tonight when i get home. And...here it is. This build follows the logic of the Dark/Dark Task Force Brute I mained from Oct 20 until Apr 21 Pump the resists because the defenses have no debuff resistance and can disappear. Then rely on heals, inspirations, team, smart play etc. It is not as solid as Dark armor in my opinion, But it does pretty well as long as you realize what it does well (ton of damage) and what it performs less well at (main tanking non stop) This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.5.7 https://github.com/Reborn-Team/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! 6. My favorite emote is grief. If I can time it right I can do it sarcastically over a dead teammate. Yesterday I was trying to organize a team through tells and LFG. It...did not go well. I just fell down in Ouro in the grief emote. Maybe no one got it. But it was cathartic to me.

I do not have any Spines/Fire or I would. I post nearly every build I make to the boards in one forum or another. I learned in art class feedback is essential. I do it out of selfishness rather than community service. I am a villain after all. I tend to build sideways to a lot of the community however. I use a very good Farm build that was designed for me. But it looks insane to me. I have the build (extremely expensive) on two toons. One on my main account, one on the alt account that I use to PL my main acct. I had to slap a Task Force alt build on both those or I could not sleep at night. (pretty expensive) The build is the way I normally build. If it had been my Farm build I would have altered a few things. Not come anywhere near the clear speed of the lopsided killing machine I was told to use. My Blaster builds are not well loved. I tend to build for Ranged combat only. THis....does nnot get a lot of love from Blaster experts. THey are correct. There is more damage to be had building as a Blapper. It is the way Blasters were designed to be played. Not my thing. But if you want someone exploring the pure ranged arena you would do worse than looking at my strange threads in the Blaster forums.
  8. Yeah, again. In my mind I wanted this character to be pure Redside. I finally did see Null and do the 4 Blue DFBs. I am excited about all the badges. At level 9 he has nearly 100. Blueside opens up a world of badges. Then I get back to Redside and start grinding story arcs. And there is a Blueside Cop contact in my list. And I can look forward to a whole slew of Blue contacts telling me I am ignoring them. Like a bunch of junk robo callers telling me my warranty has expired. Instead of a sweet clean completed every contact organized list of evil that I would have had. It is hard out there for a Supervillain.
  9. I tend to wear a simple black suit and a cape. Call me old fashioned. But i have put on the elaborate formal wear of the guild for special occasions
  10. I actually chose Dark/Dark and have started. This will be even slower than usual. Not only am i doing all Redside contacts story arcs and side missions but I am doing all Blueside badge missions and TFs. And locations badges etc. There were many great suggestions here and good feedback. Thank you everyone I chose Dark/Dark since this is my main’s build as well. I want to become profiecient with timing, range, attack chains and just handling the character better. What better way than just playing it a lot?

  12. I joined Cosmic Council a couple months ago. I am active, yet pretty anti social. I mean, I interact with people, but you can only lay out so much sarcasm per Task Force. It is a lot of work! These guys are great though. They are on Excelsior. They do a "Really Hard Way" Magisterium Master run every Saturday, along with a handful of other Incarnate Master runs. Then throughout the week various stuff. I am learning a ton and digging on the low stress no drama leadership. So, I still run a lot on my own. I am currently on the first leg of my "Solo All Redside" Project. I had started on a Stalker, then restarted on a Dark/Dark Blaster. Feels better. So tonight was a SG meet and greet. They also mentioned a new alt SG and base. I liked the name. I run a lot of vampires and undead. I jumped at the chance to move my new level 9 (80 badges already!) into the alt SG. I loaded into the base. I was literally stunned. This place... I put some hours and days and weeks into large bases on live. (Here I just use a barn. ) I have been through my share of art classes. I know when something is good. I know how much work it took. I was picking my jaw up off the floor so many times. Now the guy who put in the long hours building it mentioned there are bases way better on Everlasting. Which I find astounding, but I will believe them. I am still in shock at how good it is. What is really cool is that even though I was going to do the entire Redside "solo all content/contacts/side missions" I was really just looking at it as practice for Dark/Dark Blasting. Now... I am excited to have the character and be in that SG with that base. Crazy how new digs can turn your perspective around. If you want to check it out the info is here. On Excelsior. Cosmic-8540 This base is definitely worth wandering through whether you are a builder or a tourist. If you are interested in joining Cosmic Council the info is on the Excelsior pages and a few other places. I suppose you can contact me but I am definitely on the periphery of the group. Not leadership. Possibly one of the lead court jesters. Probably not even first chair there however. They are a very fine group if you want to complete content and have minimal drama. Discord is required to coordinate on Trials. That threw me at first. I have gotten used to it however.
  13. i will work on that. hmmmm. how to become more dry and mocking. hmmmm. i will figure it out. give me time.
  14. I take it you missed the whole me making that comment while having Willem Dafoe in vamp drag as my avatar was an attempt at a wry statement? M'kay then.
  15. Yeah, I only run DFB for the buffs and badges. I shut off Exp on most toons I run there. For the simple reason if I needed levels I can 30 one in one quick farm. Running for the buffs means I am doing a low level project. The buff last until 22 and can be sustained to 30 with DiB. I am just always trying to game the system lol. If I tried your challenge I would think a Energy/Invul Brute rand through 4 DFBs then heading to Port Oakes for some easy arcs/merits. By picking my content lines I would not have an issue until Sharkhead. Caution would need to be used on the four DiBs though. A melee character vs the ugly Bros can be iffy. Most teams that run that these days crush it though.
  16. We do get paid as villains. Influence and temp powers and climbing the ranks within (and without) Arachnos ladder. Are you sure a pleasant avatar makes a pleasant person? Sounds like horsecrap to me.
  17. Sigh. Yeah. Screwed lol. It's hard out there for a Supervillain. I was trying for a 'pure' Redside run. (This is a solo all story arc toon Redside) Finally gave up and went Rogue. I feel dirty. I have always let my Brutes that do this go Rogue for the DFB/DiB buffs. This is a Blaster. I seriously need all the juice I can run for the kill alls and EBs.
  18. I have organized these. They are not impossible. Yet I have gone two weeks without one recently while desperately trying to get one. Do not even get me started about DiB. Trying to organize one of these things in Ouro or Pocket D with new alts is like herding cats. I am so frustrated about it right now I may take a day or two off my projects. Might be time to herd cats. Will this Dev team ever resolve any solutions for Redside team ups? Echo plaza would have been a natural. But instead of granting everyone the ability (the way they did for anniversary) they revoked that. It would have been an easy way to get lowbies together to team on things like DFB. Which Redsiders (and Goldsiders?) would love to be a part of. And....another lump of coal. Look at that. People talk for years about things that would get people on Redside more. How about not starting them off at a huge teaming disadvantage for things like DFB? Lets see. i create a toon. I was thinking Villain or Rogue. Choose alignment time. oh, right. No teams, no DFB Redside. Okay, starting Blue. The cycle just reinforces itself.
  19. Question on your teaming rule. Your logic is that 'no one wants your gimped toon on a team" okay. But what about DFB? People regularly run 4 of those with nearly unenhanced toons and get 4 major buffs that last until level 22... If your rule is "No teaming to make it as hardcore as possible", then okay. But the logic does not hold up regarding DFB teams who tend to start at level 1-2 and end as late as 12-14 (I have done this, used to regular) with only dropped enhancers.
  20. They have deep meanings. Each one. But if I told you it would cheapen the gift.
  21. Some new numbers: 7, 462, 12, and 16,431.
  22. Dark days in CoH history. The advent of Demon pets. The new thing. Everybody running them. Do you seriously know how hard it was for a Brute to make it through Oranbega caves? F that. Those things are huge. For Incarnate Lore pets I prefer polar lights. Small. Storm Elementals fit my theme better. So then I am blinding myself at certain camera angels. Nice. But oh no, not bad enough. The best Incarnate teams want Banished Pantheon. Huge. They can actually ruin trials they are so big if enough people get stuck on them in a mechanic (the first crackle in The Really Hard Way Magisterium ITrial) I have seen Ninjas jump up and down some of the multi floor rooms and pull EVERYTHING in a very large multi floor space right to the team. That was .....not helpful. Flipside. With Pets used correctly you can do things pretty easy that are otherwise really stupid hard in CoH. If they ever came up with a theme of pets I could run I might do so. Give me an army of "polar lights" Small, do energy damage maybe. mix iof powers based on tier of pets. I will find a theme costume that works. But the pets that currently exist? The closest I come to interest is the undead. But how do I have a lich working for me and where do you even get two death knights? THe zombies I get. The rest? What, I got to write three short stories to justify where these very specific oddball pets come from? pfffft.
  23. I couldnt get the bubble armored head with the huge brain. But i did use the ideas about retro sci fi outfit, death goggles, a lot of grey and the space bubble on the head. Then used the sliders for a really short small toon with a big head and a small jaw and chin. Also threw antennas on in a salute to “my favorite martian” Its not bad. So this is a Beam / Temp blaster i will be screwing around with. Should offer great fire support to a team. Will be running stealth/grant invis/phase shift and force mastery for real bubbles. This gives the little freak a few escapes in rougher terrain
