Note I did trade the Kismet from Infiltration to Stealth. Infiltration is never on, I fly. So now it mules LOTG.

You lead most fights on the Corruptor with Tar and Cone of To Hit debuff….errr fear. Then joust to correct range(s) depending on situation I looked at the damages of all similar (same) powers on Blaster vs Corruptor. Big difference. Also the Blaster opens almost every fight with Nuke. When it is not up the Blaster has FOUR cones. One is KB->KD, an immobilize, all do damage and they are recharged almost fast enough to be continuous. It is withering AoE and since the cones are virtually non stop the “cone line up and fire control” issue only needs to be solved once. Or just do an ST burn. Also the Blaster has two Holds. Can hold Paragon Prot or Victoria Robots. And seriously, look at me, I just wanna destroy crap.

I really enjoyed being back on this and finally worked out a good rhythm for PBAoE, then cones and ST range And then promptly rebuilt my Dark Dark Soul Badger Blaster using that knowledge and what I learned about “fake” armoring a Blaster. Now that I understand Dark Dark Dark on the Corruptor I can effectively run the Dark Dark Soul Blaster and appreciate what Dark brings to Blasting. No, I do not have tar patch and fear or as much to hit debuffs. But now I understand the rules and rhythm and can tear through rooms If that does not work I have my Phase Shift and some time to figure another angle on the fight

No, I actually expect that (and want it) I need more info. Sometimes I play melee. In this build the info is not helpful, but on a lightly armored melee hitter? golden. so thx

THe ask about Infiltration is real. It is in my main build and I am like? What good is it? I have hover, fly, and stealth on all the time (Blaster) I needed a mule to get the Concealment Pool Phase Shift. (I really like PS) But except for muling a LOTG I cannot figure a single use for infiltration. About as much use as Brawl.

I come to the forums, well okay, I have fun here doing all the above….. but I come to the forums for help. On procs on warshades on badges on Donner on Vixen, c’mon Rudolph. Errr. I feel sidetracked Anyways the core reason I keep returning to the forums is the knowledge base. I have learned so much from the in depth analysis of Sentinel sets in the Sentinels forum. Truly every archetype forum should have that thread stuck to the top. Builders like Hyperstrike have redefined the fun things you can do in game Thank you all. I have over 1200 badges on this guy but was never happy with Dark/Dark/Souls mixed ranges and lack of a true buildup. After playing the Corr Dark^3 and xeroing in on what I wanted the Blaster to do I specc'd out of Leadership and went deep into Fly and Stealth. Really enjoying the changes. Picking your Nuke strategy is huge. Then get to mid range for a non stop cone barrage or longer for ST burn phase. After screwing with this for a couple hours I realized it is completely untenable. I had to do multiple respecs to "discover" what powers could be used in squid form. There are not many. Do I/O builds in the (not greyed out, HARD RED NOT THERE) powers even count for set bonuses? Too many questions, not enough interest lol

Sort of yes. Like when your concept calls for a bullship but you are a loner? So you end up.... This is a toon that is ALWAYS a squid. I am going to roll them. Have not decided Peace Or War. I know nothing. Is there a toggle for Squid form? How do you know what powers are available in what forms?

I did not see the set Kinetic Combat listed. I personally do not use or like them but they were THE quick and dirty way to get S/L defense on melee builds back in the day. Sure a lot of peeps still build that way. -
And if your team is not debuffing Regen it does....nothing. How many Sentinel powers debuff Regeneration?

The damage was lackluster. I alted back to a Dark Dark Corruptor. This is where I see myself over the next year mostly. Just last night I joined a PUG Penelope Yin +1 "crawl run" There were issues. People maybe (definitely) not playing optimally. We get to the last boss fight and the team starts dying. Now, again, I'm on a dark dark Corr. Not a heal bot, plus this team like to spread like they were all Brute players at heart. (I should talk) Anyways half the team is dead and I go into overdrive, pop a purp, slamming debuffs, dropping AoEs. Then all the team is dead but me. And there is a WALL of Freak Tanks and the AV. Literally jogging toward me. I actually lasted a couple minutes (at least more than one!) before they put me down. We all Hosp, reformed and lazily finished it. My point in bringing this up is the survivability of the Dark Corr, in that and most situations, will be average with a Sentinel. In my opinion. To Hit Debuffs are very real. Stormtroopers cannot aim. And the Corr does more damage than the Sentinel. But it has been pointed out by smarter minds than me this game can be run by 7 Corruptors and a Tank. Anything else is slightly less than that. I paraphrase, but you get the idea.

Whatever, that yawn inducing Blaster will STILL out damage ANY Sentinel, and played to that Blasters Powers and Build out survive nearly any Sentinel. That would be true even if Ms Manners wrote my posts and Buttercup was my name.

Based partly on looking at the new Sentinel inherent I have been thinking about how -res and -def work in CoH. My kitchen table back of the napkin wisdom goes like this. Useless against minions and Lts. They are dead before it matters. Near useless against almost all AVs. They are too tough. Somewhat helpful against GMs and EBs. As with most things there are no doubt subtleties I am missing. But that is not outside current reality too much
