So, if your metric is “it is Blaster damage or it is not DPS” i am unsure what to say…. Make a Blaster?

I find Dark Dark to be better on a Brute than a Tank. Dark can achieve nearly the same survivability and knock the same hard caps (100 res to avoid debuff of res) it is just harder to get there. Dark Armor has a stealth component, non suppressed, which i think works against the Tank mission and enhances the Brute playstyle. Due to most of Dark Melee being a hard hitting ST set it does not benefit from Tank increased AoE. Shadow Mail has always been situational, even with tanker aoe it is a long animation DoT best used for trash mobs.

incarnates can be a pain to switch, but so can builds. just remember to pre check yourself after switching and you are golden.

to be fair, i still do not understand what you want. Yes, i have read it. You seem to want them to be "less powerful" But there are different levels of inspirations. Trust me, if you depowered them all these maniacs would just use the one 2-3 levels up that now gives the same value. And then you would ask.... that we "depower inspirations?"

Well, it would help if every Dev community in succession had not taken turns on the Brute AT...

I am of the opposite view. How is doing a new archetype not as difficult as a new powerset? also, there are some very good examples of what you are asking for already existing in niche powersets within the current structure. And how are doms not ranged dps/cc?

Brains in jars were huge for me. Huge. It opened up a large chunk of science fiction character generation. non standard body types would be a dream. But i know that at least in npcs the game can manage it. There is a freakshow npc with no legs, just a floating torso on a jet/rocket thing. That would be epic Devs use the police bots. If we could have our characters be “droids” of odd shapes (power animations would obviously simplify) then that would be insanely good. not to leave magic out of it, have the “no legs” option for magic be a vaporous trail instead of a rocket butt. Have the “droids” be will o the wisps (glowing balls) or storm clouds or even a flock of bats/crows!!!

We just had 18 pages on nothing. You going for the title champ? seriously though…do not like inspirations? Do not use them. Sell them and make money. Reject them and get badges. Give them away and make friends. inspirations are one of the bedrocks of the game. Factored into difficulty and challenge level and…and…and you are not listening to a word are you? Mist!

I keep a map up 99% time. I casually track team. I usually am on a Blaster and looking to be near the front of the group for best AoE placement. Sometimes I am way ahead if I have classified the team as "casuals" and there are obvious goals of juicy targets. When I game with Justice Superteamers twice a week it is different. They run nearly everything at +2 to +4 kill alls. We stay together to buff/maximize dps/be efficient.

I love Dark. I main a Dark Dark Blaster. Dark ancillary is so bad I use Soul. Which also has issues as the cone has white tentacles so i do not use. Theme baby theme having said the, the poll is unnecessary Fire Fire Fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 is the only choice for the “best” Blaster. DPS wins.

at the risk of seeming redundant. pull. eat a med purple joust into view ST nearest guy, run back. 1 spawn pulled. although my Fire3 blaster would just roll into it and start nuking and dropping rains. F them all. (yes, at +4) just dead burnt bodies.

If I was solo with 3 spawns (or 4) in a maze like area. (say the office bldg S corner with side room spawns....) you can pull. depending on powersets. With Fire3 I might actually wade in. You can kill 2 full spawns and the room might not notice! But with Dark probably pull. That gets you one group. Then charge the 2nd group, but not near enough the room group sees you. Generous inspiration use and a can do attitude!
