  1. WoW fails it this both ways. They create a world, which as usual is based on the epic actions of others. standard, and a fail. Then every character in WoW is THE "speaker of the horde" "first alliance member to discover" etc. It's like going to Disneyland and paying $200 to be "Mickey's best friend ever" only to walk through the gate and see 4000 people with the same hat "Mickeys Best Friend Ever" the Well is ill decsribed and out of the way enough not to bother me
  2. Squirrels. The squirrels ate the phlogiston. Now the only way to get power ( and a decent cup of cocoa) is to boil the squirrel crap and drink it. Then you become more powerful. Squirrels…
  3. I have run these a few times with members of the old Cosmic Council crew and Task Force Junkies. Speed. yes, it seems impossible, but it was quite efficient. I followed, and as usual have no clue. It does make me see why a lot of Cosmic took off. once you start memorizing Shadow Shard TFs you are approaching escape velocity....
  4. Great. Points thanks. I will relook at Tornado. I will prob keep all ST range. I love to plink from afar. Tactics will get the end redux and Drain Psyche will get the Hamis!!! Great points. I like Force of Nature because it gives End help in long tough battles. I am thinking vs an AV drain psyche will give me little end help but will debiff the AV some, while Force Nature will prop up my weak end bar.
  5. i've looked at a lot of this and come up with a plan. Still in mid-40s. Drain Psyche is a bitch to land sometimes, and it takes away from the see spawn nuke spawn fire Blaster solution. You GOT to drain. You almost need a tank in there 1st. But for late game TF my build has Epic Force Mastery Force of Nature. This will be up every 7 minutes or so for major battles. The crash will be more dealable with than on any melee. Snarky's Brain - Blaster (Psychic Blast - Mental Manipulation) v1.01.mbd
  6. They are not! They are fans of my greatness. They come here fir wisdom, the type that only I provide.
  7. I would like to report this thread. For obvious reasons.
  8. Indeed, once again Ukase and (what is left) of Cosmic Council saved Snarky's butt. Ukase ran the Karsis and a Hess. My OCD grinds me if I do not complete TF/SF/Trials in mostly level order as I go. But I worked 55 hours this week, so.....
  9. I post in LFG. I need a karsis, anybody got it open? I get a tell. "i did the contacts in hollows, i can do that" minute passes. "Will you run one" "sure" I get an invite. leader "you want to just do this or get a team?"' snarky (blaster) "I got no stealth and there is the boss fight" leader "friend me and i can do this after MSR" .... you just wasted 5 minutes of my life. Why, why why would i want you for a friend?
  10. I agree, but the OP wanted pools and epics/patrons
  11. Are we zeroing in on a number? Or at least a set of rules? If we disregard the madness of counting the different picks in primary/secondary/pool/patron/epic and just focus on WHICH sets are taken my mind starts to settle. Then you have the standard A x B x C x D. Except pools are odd in that you can pick 1 to 4. Which suggests the pool multiplier will be not be #pool but #pool+3. Likewise epic/patron is #epic/patron+1. For none. You cannot take no pool. Even if you take all primary secondary and epic/patron you still have one power pick left. so the method would be (Archetype Primary) x (Archetype Secondary) x (Pool+3) x (Epic/Patron+1) - invalid choices processed for each Archetype and then summed. If you want to talk about the variations of each power pick within the sets I will tap out. I like math but the navel gazing gets stupid at a certain point, and pretty sure that is the point in this discussion.
  12. It immediately went through my head. And some Skyhawke posted it first…and better. Damn.
  13. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=83509&key=d663df6e0b358c96218015a8731b6e65
  14. at this point madness consumes me looking at the conversation. @Scarlet Shocker did indeed mention pool powers. but are we counting each different pick within a power as a different unique "combo" or just "some from this" and "some from that"?
  15. None…funny. Also, now they are talking about various only take this or that so if we are talking actual power choice combinations and not possible primary/secondary/epic it is about to get maddeningly more complicated.
  16. Blaster is 15 primary 15 secondary and 10 epic/patron. 15x15x10 = 2250. is this some sly way to get Snarky to figure the entire number because people are too stupid to do math?
  17. So 2457 for one AT ( i am guessing ) ??? the formula is damn simple. AT ( # prim x # sec x # epic/patron ) - ( illegal combos ) , this done for each AT, sum of all those ATs is the solution.
  18. I know that it is a lot. I also know that the information is completely useless. And will change. with 1 AT primary multiply secondary by patron epic and that gives you a start. Then multiply that number by the number of primary in that AT. Then do that for each AT. Sum. Solution.
  19. then you get into the extremes with resistance being it's own resistance debuff resistance so 100% converts to 90% on a brute or tank but the 100% has a hidden value of making that resistance not debuffable. whereas defense can almost always be debuffed.
  20. To combat end probs i slot health with Panacea, Miracle, and Numina procs. Then stamina with perf shifter end mod, perf shift proc, and usually one endmod IO but you could use 2 in extreme cases i guess. It is also possible to slot a very few attacks in the game with theft if essence proc to steal some end.
  21. I have maybe 3-4 i go back to regular. Others occasionally, some very rarely. Most never. part of it depends on what i am working at. That is more an indicator than the exact toon. As my playstyle evolved from heavy melee to ranged dps to danger close dps the characters have changed. But i chase the concept and playstyle, experimenting with power sets and builds. Actually liking blaster psy/mental/force. It is a solid damage dealer. The strangeness of drain psyche i am just beginning to get the feel of. Force’s Personal Force Field is a very good “i miscalculated this HARD” button. Looking forward to Force of Nature to add another bump to the lopsided wheel of my end recovery. Now at 40, with a build that should have +35% range and +45% damage sitting stone cold. Not a lot of defense, but played smartly it does the work. And…i have always liked the brain in a jar. Both philosophically and with how they added it to the game. So i think this will end up having a chance to stay. It fits my playstyle, i like the look and the concept. The stars have to align carefully indeed.
  22. Yes. Yes indeed. My first 10-15 times through Aeon I felt carried. And i was. Even when i was “helping” it was usually where the job did not even need to be done. It is an extremely goal specific strike force. But now i am of help when i run it. And i do not mind if people are carried on my team. Its a big circle.
  23. The simple key to this might be…. run them more. Hear me out. The first times you do anything is the hardest. Then things get easier. Knowing the maps, the fights, the pacing of the TF is a matter if practice. The Dr Aeon for me was a nightmare until i ran it 15+ times.
