Anti-mez buff powers...why so fickle to use?
Snarky replied to Seldom's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
yeah. this spur of the conversation is more or less about 1-4 star content and the usefulness of 7 corr and 1 tank. If a defender could antimez the entire team constantly (while the whole team rotates barrier applications) it might (MIGHT) be a very sweet spot to be in. -
oh. sorry. then you would want to 1) know which AT you are trying to min/max 2) go to that Archetype forum once in that forum you would want to know 1) which powersets you are considering 2) search that subforum for that topic or ask anew Viel spass!

sooo excited. sooo cute. this is like wandering into a bar for mechanics from ALL different race car types and saying "how do you make a fast car?" So.... Are you talking a melee character? (then... what type?) Are you talking Blaster, Dom, Corr, Def, Troller? Sentinel? All have very different build strategies. And different ways to get there. Then you narrow it down to your power set choices, juggling a couple to decide what is best. Heck, I have fully ranged Blasters that just need ranged defense and are basically unkillable played to their strategy. Then I have a in your face Fire Blaster with almost no defenses who cannonballs every fresh spawn and rarely dies. DPS is a wonderful defense. There is a lot of minutae to look at. If you are running Tanks/Brutes a little known fact is Resistance is it's own "Resistance Debuff Resistance" and therefore even though the hard cap is 90% having 100% is great for things like Dr Aeon where Goldbrickers debuff your resistance. But if we are talking about building Corruptors it is wasted breath.

my Blasters listening to PUGs at door to 1st mission

I had some time off recently and ran a lot of TF/SF/Trials. In the Posi 1 especially there was a definite on/off switch. Some teams did great...others....oh man. -
Why I think Corruptors are taking a back seat to Defenders
Snarky replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
Not taking anything personal. You know me, just posting for the numbers. Have fun wherever you are wandering. -
LOL. Too true. “So, i slammed a bunch of heroin an hour ago and have managed to get into this mission. I stare at the AV. He killed me. Seems unfair. As soon as I could get my hands to cooperate I posted the Devs should just make these things do a die animation when i arrive and give me the rewards.”

the OP wants a "guaranteed" opportunity for a player to be able to fix anything incoming. So, no 2 shots, no mez then dead, no need to have a brain, use tactics, plan, no chance to lose.
-
my standard load out on a blaster is 2 lg Green, 2 med green, 4 med break frees, 4 med purp, 7 med red, 1 lg blue.
-
if you read typo it is "open up" so, you look into a room with two full spawns. pop a med purple. maybe a med break free if a lot of succubus. then kill everyone.
-
All of the Menders are working for ancient gods from beyond time and space bent on destroying all life. Not sure I trust them.
-
The only easy way i know is a trick j always use. I always have fly on. If you het KB then you just pinwheel in air. No delay to get back up. Then, of course, only open ip on rooms you plan to completely melt. Then they cannot mez you. I also habitually carry 4 med break frees all the time on any Blaster.

this whole thread is basically "i am a Defender and i want to solo AVs in TFs without help and with no tactics" because if you had a tank, or anybody dealing with his agro..... problem solved. if you did not choose to walk up and spit in his face, problem solved. if you played as part of a team, problem... nvm. you will not listen.

Anti-mez buff powers...why so fickle to use?
Snarky replied to Seldom's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
maybe. i am just saying it would make a real change to the environment all the new content was built in and calibrated to. maybe that is better. maybe it would be an "easy" button. -

mez is used a lot in 1 star+ content. "Fixing" this would jigger the math on all that -
I do NOT have a fixation! Hold up, is that Mina? BRB

Still guessing. But you seem to be making my point for me. If the team wants this it is ALL the defender does… -
Anti-mez buff powers...why so fickle to use?

I am guessing (and it is a guess) that mez is meant to be tough to solve. If a defender could anti mez an entire team constantly it could change a lot of high end builds and playstyles. -
What is Meant by "Weak" or "Underperforming" Powersets?
Snarky replied to Waljoricar's topic in General Discussion
I’m not a racist. I despise almost all humanity irregardless of race. And am inspired by a very few, also without regard to their race. I am inspired by achievement, brilliance, and the indomitable spirit. Which can be exhibited by any man or woman from any culture. Then you get the F-ers in traffic trying to drive into you all day and look back to the joyous days of pandemic bare freeways…. A person can be great. People suck. All people. -
Okay. Step two accomplished. For those keeping track step one is considering. Step two was creating. Justice SuperTeamers are starting a water/marine run. I have never ran either set. So. Both! The character is a 8 ft tall lanky steampunk robot with a think tank head (evil eye) and a vampire cape. The name is Snarkpool. i still know nothing about the sets. But i think nearly all of us are running Marine on a few diff ATs. The debuffs will be epic

but the OP specifically addressed this. (leading me to believe he was NOT one-shotted. because you cannot be. and because the way the issue was mentioned) The OP does not want any player defeated without some type of reasonable ability to respond. Quote "My premise is that enemies should never do so much damage that they immediately defeat the character. It doesn't matter if it's one attack or two attacks, if there's no opportunity to fight back... it amounts to the same thing. Enemies doing so much damage means there's no GAME, because the players can't DO anything (except run away, if they get the chance)." Now I was getting hammered with my Dark Dark Blaster in a 1 star LGTF about a week ago. So many times 1) enemy teleports me 2) I am confused 3) I take a break free 4) i am dead. It was an assembly line for a while. They had it down. I had to do something, so.... I stopped playing like a fire Blaster lol. Or i suppose, i could have come here and demanded the Devs change the enemies.
-
I agree. We should immediately move all enemies damage down 50%. Just for a test period In unrelated news as soon as we implement this I will be leading a lot of “Master of” and 4 star content. O. Yeah.
