I ran a lot of +0 Task Forces for a couple months March-June. I can tell you there was never an issue with someone entering first and the mission going to +4 because that was their settings. I have no data on the opposite scenario of running at +4 constantly and someone entering first at +0 and the TF setting that mission at +0.

Softcap Defense is good. Depending on your AT/Build/Powersets it can be VERY good, or good, or meh not bad. This depends on the type of Def you softcap, your play strategies, any synergies between your powers and that defense, and (of course) defense debuff resistance. It is NEVER bad. Softcap Defense is a build goal. That will eat up valuable slots and choices as you place I/O enhancements. So the question becomes how much more resources you want to devote. The question should not be is more than softcap defense good. That answer is always yes. The question is "Will adding more Defense past softcap to this particular AT/Powerset combo be worth the I/O enhancement investment?" I would venture the response. F-ing rarely. If you are building a toon for pure incarnate content where higher than traditional softcap is necessary, you are almost always on a league throwing around defense buffs like crazy. After making the necessary I/O picks to get softcap defense you are probably neglecting a few other build goals that your AT/powersets might want/need. Should you completely neglect those build goals to chase an elusive number that may or may not be necessary? Maybe if you build a toon to solo incarnate content. That is the only reason I could think of. There are probably a few more. I am not massively creative until after I drop my 2nd or 3rd cup...

A Blaster is faster than a Stalker for me solo. It can kill the Boss Lt minion groups faster and it can mow down any large spawns. At least in my testing of all Dark Dark archetypes

This is not a farm build. This is a regular content build. I do not know what tactics you are using. Your post indicates you do not think they are necessary. I do not know your incarnate choices. Or if you incarnated. I do not know what enemy groups you walk into at 54x8. Almost every Brute/ Tank build in current game will only do 54x8 vs a select subset of enemies. This build is a general build for ALL content. Most builds that sit in 54x8 rely on defense. This is a build that if you run into super hard content you need to PLAY. That means think about enemies, use correct inspirations, prioritize enemies, and knock stuff down. It is not meant to sit in 54x8 (random enemy farm) and AFK farm.

Anything you like. This game is built for exploration of different power and archetypes

You have to get her off track. They used teleport (I am almost positive) It was a year ago or more lol. She looks weird on shore, she is just a neck and head after all. They really experimented with it, found out about her tracking etc. I just showed up for the lulz. As usual, lazy old me.
