Twilight Son and Mender Lazarus TFs No Longer Available?
Acroyear replied to Acroyear's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I am aware of the level ranges of the Task Forces. But you use to be able to go to the contacts (as I recall) and do these Task Forces as long as you had gained access to Ouroboros story arcs. I've not done them on my current level 50, and for some reason these two contacts do not give me the option to do their Task Forces. Mender Silos will give me the option to do his, but the others do not, which is odd because I've never done their TFs. I did log in another level 50 character, who I know did all the Ouroboros TFs. None of the three contacts would give him the ability to do their TFs, and Mender Silos went so far as to tell me there was no more I could do for him at this time. So it would seem they are are a one-shot TF through the contacts the first time through. But again, my current character (a sentinel) has not done any of the Ouroboro TFs, and neither Twilight Son nor Mendor Lazarus will offer them to him, which is odd, and frustrating. This would definitely seem like a bug or error of some sort. -
Hi All, Were the Twilight Son and Mender Lazarus' Task Forces removed from the game? My level 50 character has tried to access them, but they do not give the option to begin the Smoke and Mirrors or The 5th Column Overthrow TFs. I've done all the other Ouroboros content, which unlocked these two contacts, plus Mender Silos. Strangely, I can access the Trading Places TF from Mender Silos. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I missing something that would make these contacts provide the TFs?

The ability to place custom NPC characters in Supergroup Bases would be a terrific addition to the game. And not only as random NPCs, but the custom NPCs would take the roll of Trainers, Enhancement dealers, Icon/Facemakers, etc. I've been hoping for this for a long time, but have no idea if the Devs have considered it, or if it is even possible. Since Homecoming debuted, two of our SG mates have passed away, and we thought it would be a great way to honor them if we could add them as NPCs in the Base so they could be Trainers or Enhancement dealers. Any word on this type of customization is possible and on the horizon?

Well, I received no love (or replies) from the base builder community on this post, so I messed around with the glass flooring until I figured out how to avoid this problem from occurring. I removed the grid from the glass flooring, then used the Shift key to slightly raise the flooring above the ceiling trim. I was not sure this was possible since the glass flooring is attached to the ceiling (via the F5 key), but it did work, so the problem has been solved! Now the trim remains along with the glass flooring!

issue 27 Issue 27, Page 4: General Feedback
Acroyear replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I wonder why these items were not listed in the patch notes. Would have been good to know, as two weeks ago I spent HOURS of my life constructing an oven/stove and a refrigerator from scratch for our SG base. 😞 -
Hi Everyone, I am having an issue with the ceiling trim repeatedly disappearing each time I exit and reenter the base. The trim surrounds a piece of glass flooring that I connect to the ceiling to give the look of a skylight in the room. I've done this in two other rooms in my base, and do not have this issue (one of the rooms is identical size and shape to this one shown). But whenever I enter the base, the trim disappears as if it is blocked by an item. A quick edit to move/rotate the glass surface and the trim reappears. But, as soon as I leave and then reenter the base, the trim again disappears. At first I thought it might be the nearby ceiling lights causing the issue, so I tried removing them, but that did not make a difference, so I put them back. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

Any *old old* game things you kinda miss?
Acroyear replied to Gulbasaur's topic in General Discussion
I miss the old Yellow and Green lines for the Tram. You use to have to figure out how to get around the city, and it was fun and a challenge. There was a reason to be a part of a Supergroup as that group would work to build Telepads that could make getting around the city easier because it was a team effort. These days the Zones all seem empty of heroes and villains because everyone has a built in teleport system with a short cooldown, or everyone uses Ouroboros as a transport hub (which I absolutely hate). By making getting around the Paragon City and the Rogue Isles too easy, the Devs have made the game feel like a ghost town unless you happen to be hanging out in either Atlas Park or Mercy Island. -
7 randoms ran the new Cavern of Transcendence. It got ugly.
Acroyear replied to Kai Moon's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Last night myself and six of my online buddies made a run of the Cavern of Transcendence Trial with its ridiculous amounts of ambushes. Had two team wipes, but we kept at it, fighting through the hordes of monsters and lots of frustration. We activated one obelisk at a time, dealing with the ambushes as they came. With five minutes left to go we activated the last one, and fought our way to the main hallway to fight the final boss and free Sam Wincott. It looked as though all was lost, as even though we defeated the final boss and all the minions around Sam, we missed one, who then blended in with the newly arrived ambush. Cosmic Ray Man, in a desperate gambit, rezed (we were all defeated again at this time), and made a full run into the mass of rock monsters and blasted the final minion, freeing Sam and successfully completed the Trial. We had only 27 seconds left on the clock! 🙂 The win was satisfying because it was so difficult to obtain, but we all agreed that the ambushes were insanely over the top. That needs repeating: INSANELY over the top. We are all very glad to hear a fix to this issue is coming down the line as we will not be trying this Trial again until after it is fixed. -
Hey, I thought they were suppose to post the patch notes today. Did they post them somewhere else? I've been looking everywhere for them.

Just wanted to drop by to say that I was so impressed with your haunted house base! It was truly AMAZING! I've been playing CoH since 2004, and I've seen all manner of bases, but the creativity of your haunted house is a true work of art! Thank you!

Things one misses from the original game

I miss the Yellow and Green Transit Lines having separate stops in different zones. Same goes for the Rogue Isle ships. Too easy to get around these days. -
issue 27 Patch Notes for June 2nd, 2021
Acroyear replied to Number Six's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Not sure why an entrance to Pocket D was needed from Atlas Park. King's Row entrance is just a short ride away on the Tram. Nice to see more bug fixes though. -
Cmmnoble, thanks for putting together that detailed investigation of the bug. Hopefully the Devs can narrow down the issue based on your information and have it corrected in a short time.

Hi there, I am not using the No Redraw theme, so what I am experiencing is not caused by that.

Since the release of Issue 27, Page 2, the animations on Dual Pistols have not been activating 100% of the time. I have a Dual Pistols/Traps Corruptor, and at various times in an attack chain the animations for several pistol powers do not animate, but the powers do activate, which makes it look as if the character is shooting down at the floor. I'm not sure yet if all the animations are failing to activate, but it seems to happen mostly with Empty Clips and Bullet Rain, and I think Dual Wield.

issue 27 Patch Notes for April 20th, 2021 - Issue 27, Page 2

Why where the graphics changed on Spirit Ward? It used to make this cool circular arcane pattern when cast on a teammate, but it no longer does this. Why? -
Focused Feedback: Power Changes (Release Candidates)
Acroyear replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Second Request: Please do not speed up the animation for Hail of Bullets. Doing so ruins the epic feel of the power, much in the same way Total Focus was diminished in coolness when it too was unnecessarily sped up. Faster is not always better. Thank you. -
Focused Feedback: Power Changes (Build 1)
Acroyear replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Please don't reduce the animation time on Dual Pistols - Hail of Bullets. The animation time is perfect for the epic maneuver that is Hail of Bullets, and making it run faster will just ruin the look and feel of the power (just like it did when Total Focus had its animation time reduced). Thanks. -
Hello Again, I did do the update, GM Impervium, but that did not correct the issue. I then followed GM Tahquitz's instructions and downloaded the Visual C Runtime (for 64-bit) and that did do the trick! I am again able to log into CoH: Homecoming. Thank you both for taking the time to help me. I sincerely appreciate it.

Hi there, I restarted my computer, but I don't see any Windows Update happening. I am at a loss here. Is there a way to trigger a Windows Update from my computer?

I play CoH: Homecoming every few days with no issues launching the game. But today I keep getting the following error message when I try to launch the game from Tequila: "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Clicking the "OK" button brings up the following error message: "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." What is going on here? Can anyone provide a fix for this issue? I've been playing this game since it returned and have never had an issue launching it before today. I run CoH on a Windows 10 computer in case that information is needed to correct this problem.

I agree. Odds of someone getting in on this are like winning the lottery. -
