I'm with you there. The 20s and 30s are my favorite spots in the game, but it'll still be nice to do those with more fun powers. More of the issue, is that you outlevel those. I even stop dxp, and often shut off exp to finish contacts etc. I'd rather instead, see you NOT be able to outlevel those contacts, and instead it'll just auto exemp you to the max level of the contact, and other strategies like this to combat the issue. But the waiting so long for some powers esp the secondary tier 8/9s was always a chore. -

Generally, what this helps a lot, is trying to avoid being FORCED to take powers one does not want. In general that's still one of the biggest annoyances, obv especially with pool powers like fighting. -

Exactly, hence, another situation, where we should be able to pick the first 3 primaries of the tier 1 as well, and pool powers open at 2. -

Personally I don't like the idea of it having a wider area, because then you have to be more careful where it's hitting as opposed to it being a safe backup. A dispersion radius slow makes sense, and then maybe even increase it's proc rate. -

Joke's aside, I'd still like to see the first 3 tiers of the primary open as an option as well. Again, this especially concerns mind and grav control who can't get their ST hold first and are forced to take powers they don't want, which is even more odd for it being the primary compared to almost all other sets that don't have this problem. Even elec control, focusing on draining a single target with jolting chain instead, I can see use to skip the single target hold and immobilize both so would also be useful. Archery blasters, snap shot and aimed shot are still really poor. Skip both, yes please. Additionally, in these types of scenarios, it would be nice to be able to open pool powers at levels instead of level 4 as well. Example: Recently did a seismic/fire blaster, focusing on blapping. Therefore, did not take rock shards. So after taking shatter, and fire sword. He was forced to take ring of fire at level 2, because he couldn't take a pool power, and was skipping encase, and rock shards. This is exactly where opening up a pool power at level 2 would save the build from being forced into one of those 3 powers he does not want to take. I could see /storm secondaries not wanting gale + 02 boost both, but not wanting another primary at level 2 as well being helped out by pool powers being open at level 2. And I mean, nothing is going to be OP by having a pool power at level 2 instead of level 4. -

Thanks for starting this thread I was about to. This is a TERRIBLE change, which again, screws over most any other playstyle that's not farmers just to try and nerf them. It's unwarranted, and unneeded. To someone who mentioned about "proccing fury/achilles more often" don't forget, that those debuffs do not stack from the same source as well. So if it means it more accurately placed them fine. Even with that, the power has been more than fine as it is. You also have to factor, that you have to wait for it to be layed down, and then, it's severely underpowered even in it's current form UNTIL that 2nd patch gets placed down. Then you also have to factor that that happens even less in normal play when you're moving around the mob a lot. This is 100% a terrible change that hurts the rest of the game, just at an attempt to nerf farming. Also keep in mind, as a pseudopet that it creates, it doesn't gain the benefit of crits and the extra crit chance from the ato proc, and on tankers, it also does not get the increased radius as well. The power has it's own problems easily, and should be left alone. If it's going to have this much vast nerfs, then I'd honestly rather it be just changed to a simple damage aura like quills/ icicles/lighting field etc. -

Ironically, the exact same thing I suggested dimension shift be changed into (but with knockdown added like an inverse bonfire). Adding slow and knockdown to it then, would make it really nice. -

Yeah, i mean I explained as others have how in general repulsion field and force bubble changes are really pretty bad. But giving it -speed on the force bubble and repulsion field would be useful. If force bubble was changed to anything else other what what it currently does for the most part, I'd only accept it as a location power, with the same radius, that did the pull-in to it's center like singularity's. With that radius at least, the need to push them around with it like on live, woudln't be needed as it'd already be doing the job of pulling the mob together. Add in that -speed and stuff to it then, still golden. -

Which to be fair, does really little for most of the actual PVE game versus actually just debuffing them. I haven't checked, but also correct me if I'm wrong, that this -special that's applied, is also lessened by the purple patch. -

Right, i find that more of an issue than most of the primary tier 8/9s sooner, though does make an impact on scraps/tanks for me for some sets where you want the main ATO procs in those tier 8/9 attacks. But it woudl't make sense to be able to get the secondary tier 8 and 9s, sooner than the primaries lol. And there isn't much that I'd feel too OP about having lots of those powers in the 20s instead of 30s, especially when slots are already really sparce at those levels. As for "exempers will be too powerful" i mean, those level availabilities are a big reason why i only exemp for needed tfs anyway. So this could actually open up more playing via exemplaring too. -

I get this, but I aslo get, how horrible it is waiting till, especially, 35 and 38 for some of those secondary powers. Not to mention, how when they are such demand, things like a /time or /nature controller, it means you have to put your epic powers off till 41 to just start them (most of which lets be honest, need a big rework, especially the hero epics). I'd be more for this change happening, and as a result increasing enemy hp/resistances etc in the 20s so less steamrolling happens, and more fun with more powers happens, while not making it too tough for those that don't get high defenses. Additionally I Have to take a look again, but epics starting at 30 would be a big help in those scenarios I just mentioned, even if the primary/secondary tier 8s remain as they are on live, and bumping patron start level to 30. -

Thank god. Also, Spinning Strike in street justice has the exact same range/radius stats as touch of fear, and it slots ranged aoe sets, not melee ones. That power should also severly be changed to pbaoe, not how it is now, even the animation supports the pbaoe nature. As per cleave, you can't enhance it's range, so was like i figured how taser is on devices. so that's good if it still takes pbaoe sets. As per pendulum, a pbaoe vector of whirling axe/typhoon whatever, puts them around YOU, not your target you're looking at, so that actually can be more detrimental to an aoe surrounded on the target, and not you. It's the exact reason, I have abandoned many of my higher level street justice scrappers, cause that (outside of tankers with the extra radius) simply does not work with such a tiny radius. I don't have an initial problem with the power working that way, dependent on the radius. The radius being more of the issue, it should easily have a radius on a taoe power like that, (as well as tof, and spinning strike, though that should still be pbaoe) of 10ft so it actually hits the aoe. -

TANKER. They get 50% more radius on their aoes. Thats a bonus that should not be ignored in this calculation. This is so non-tanks don't get screwed out on aoe. -

Have always been saying we need "slot" unslotters in addition to the enhancement unslotters. Nothing worse than having to do a whole respec just to move one dang slot around XD -

Technically you can already do this via respeccing, what they were saying is the FEEL of not having enough slots for your powers at said levels, which I get. I also always felt that we should be getting 3 slots per slot level always, not the 2 per slot level pre-30, and allowing more slots per attack for things like carrion creepers and dark servant and most MM pets. -

Exactly. As I stated earlier, the recharge should NEVER have been 3 minutes for what it does. Rech should be bumped to 60s, the end part autohit, and the recovery extended. Both the end and recovery should be bumped to to the largest portion on the first target, 25% end/rec for one, 5% for the other 9, and duration of at least 30-60 seconds. -

Another issue this presents, is IO slotting. This takes away 2 more pbaoe sets which have good bonuses. The ranged aoe sets are generally trash. I could see one changing, but not both. Even if both were to remain as is, ome should still flag for pbaoe sets. -

TLDR? You should. He shouldn't melee AT ALL. Hence the issue with energy torrent, but also, he's too dang squishy to do it. That's why he has the decoy. Which swapping for explosive blast helps the decoy too. Honestly adding energy punch for it would be good, and flag phantasms ai to only use in melee like bots do. Yeah this is a non issue. I guarantee, nobody but you thinks "carnies suck because of the phantasms" I would SOOOO happily have this fix meaning that carnie phantasms stay at range. The debuff on their dark servant has ALWAYS been much worse. -

I did forget about the pull in, which more so ruins the cone, but the main issue here, is the radius on those taoe type powers. They need to increase it to 10ft . As per cleave, NOTHING is going to get in its 3ft aoe enough to matter on any scale. This NEEDS to be kept a cone. Ranged is fine, and use its aura it does as the cone similar to how Piercing bullets works on DP. Lets actually USE that energy wave it does. Edit: fyi im constantly hitting 2-3 enemies in its current cone, it's not that tough if you know what you're doing. Even If the "aoe" does less damage to the rest and the main damage is still on the single target (which we know is possible via poison debuffs, thunder strike etc) that would still be a much better option. -

Can you also PLEASE fix Phantasm dumb ai/powers in both versions including controllers. This has always been the DUMBEST pet because he constantly melees even though he has no melee attack and has extremely low armors. The worst part, is it also ruins his energy torrent from hitting the mob because it's a cone, and he's in melee. Please fix his AI, and honestly change Energy torrent to explosive blast with the same stats so even if he does end up in melee it's less detrimental. And yes dear God, also change his attacks to knockDOWN.. As with all knockdown in the game as well, make it like mag .01 so that it doesn't stack into knockback. (DEAR GOD also do this for gremlins, on top of fixing it/gravs immob to need -kb, they constantly stack knockback and are unusable due to this without the OF proc, because for some dumb reason they don't take kb sets, or even end mod sets) -

Ah right, somehow, I did see that, the nforgot about it when i reread it and didn't see that on that part of it lol. Good though. That IG change too though really needs reverted. Hurts non-farmers so bad too. Like what the ydid last page was enough against farmers tbh. Let that settle for a while first before nerfing more stuff that affects regular players. -

This is a good change. I've been thinking about an attack getting this effect for a while since Sing got it. This is a good start. Please also give that pull-in to tornado in storm as well before this patch goes live! In relation to it's radius too, please do this to other melee's as well. No aoe should be less than 10ft IMO. As much as scrappers were one of my favorite AT's for the longest time, those small radii on most of the aoes just makes them really annoying to play on teams. 10ft on most of the main aoes/cones wouldn't OP anything but help ease that suffering. Likewise all dom/blaster aoes should be 15ft standard as well. *stares hard at atom smasher* Edit: relating to thoughts of the attack getting the pull in, also been thinking about an armor set getting that MUAHAHAHAHA. Honeslty, mud pots seems like a good first place to have it, esp relating to granite, you're heavy, so you create your own sink-hole, and enemies are drawn into it. Even if it only worked when granite was on with mud pots combined, would be interesting!
