  1. I was assuming I had better teammates to help. I was wrong. Next run stealth pool it is.
  2. Again. Maybe they wouldn't be dead if you had provided some of that aoe control with the -tohitt goodness. But stealth ST confuse it is. The ITF hardcore with cheating Romans that breakfree from control is a hard ask. So either we drop the best damage we can along with things that provide debuffs to their damage abilities or everyone going in needs to just run through in invisible.
  3. Easily corrected when I just switch out my leadership pool for the stealth build. I now know I need to approach the map assuming I have one less teammate to help.
  4. Where was there ever a disagreement about Dark Control being S tier? It's not Plant good but it's still up there. Of all the control sets it is more damage oriented than the rest, but in terms of battlefield control it feels a bit naked. Thus Mind is your huckleberry if you want to maintain massive control then you can just lean a bit harder into your secondary and pools for the damage and defenses. That's where I'm confused how it can be said Mind control can't do the things to the whole map that I see it does whenever I play my dom. Unfamiliarity with how to play the set is more your undoing. Mind and Dark are both S minus tier.
  5. We know how you play it. In an ITF hardcore mode where we kind of need all hands on deck spamming their aoe you're off stealthing and ST confusing things. On the first go I was taking alphas for the team expecting I had teammates going to provide follow up mitigation, alas it wasn't to be. So I corrected myself within accordance of how I now knew how some teammates will hover far out of range in stealth and just use ST confuse. Yes I don't disagree that Dark is a bit more damage oriented than all the other controls. Plant outdoes us all though. I could just switch to my stealth pool build and spam ST confuse just the same. I just don't want to take hours on a TF that should take 30mins tops if all hands are on deck.
  6. AoE control is what control is supposed to provide to the battlefield so yes I'm aware that every power set carries that t7 aoe hold. Total Domination, Mass Confusion and Mass Hypnosis are instantaneous hard control. If you're solo or your teammates know not to hit your slept targets Hypnosis it can be considered hard control if not it's still great aoe mitigation and thus I acquiesce that it's more apt to consider it a soft control. Then you still have Terrify as another soft control.
  7. I don't even take the aoe sleep in Mind control, but it is pretty decent and it is there if you're having troubles with your control in this power set. If I ever need the instant control of a sleep I just go with Mesmerize for my starter power. Seeds of Confusion is broken, it behaves far too well for what else you can do in that set. Electric's confuse is meh. I don't disagree that it's bs other power sets have a better confuse at t5 than Mind's signature power. For starters tune down those other OP confuses like Mind control had done to theirs oh so long ago in anticipation of IOs coming out and being a thing. Terrify and Mass Hypnosis I consider both soft control. They should be layered in as such after you've dropped one of Total Domination or Mass Confusion. What need is there for a knock power when you can in a matter of seconds control 64 targets? Drop Total Domination then blast that group to their demise then move on to the next group, why waste time using a knockback power when the group is already well controlled to not fight back? There's no hole in Mind, in fact it has far better control than any other power set. Plant is better because it is all hammer, with Seeds acting the way it does and with Creepers providing aggro mitigation and the damage that it does. Aside from Plant overperforming there's nothing out there that can match the sophistication of Mind control. I'll give you TK needing a bit of a buff, not that I'll have room to take it, but because others need something to clamor for.
  8. It's best to leave any "-ist" out of your statements. Labeling and calling people names who simply oppose the suggestion does very little to further your argument. It's typically the go-to move of those who have nothing left to reason.
  9. Hey hey! She's a tank and thus as much padding in front I'd assume is much appreciated. Would you not want extra layers of Krypton DNA protection? It's Krypton Kevlar if you will. For @Triumphant I don't mind a sensual form semi-concealed in fictional form because I understand this stuff is not to be taken seriously. No more seriously than a muscle-bound dude being able to leap buildings in a single bound, we just don't need to see his shlong while he's doing it nor someone's boobs, some things should be left to your own imagination.
  10. What @arcane said. Tune down Seeds, Plant will be just fine and still has Creepers, then maybe give Mass Confusion a self buffing ability to differentiate it from the rest of the control confuses.
  11. Mind on controllers under performs because there's very little damage abilities in the power set. Where a dom can rely on their secondary for damage a controller has only support abilities to offer. Plus then on controllers you have to get creative with procs to try to attain the control a dom gets by just being in domination. This is why Gravity is so much better on controllers because those attacks in its set aren't redundant and mostly subpar compared to when it's on a dom. In Mind you can instantly sleep a full group, confuse the bosses to your side, if another group aggros you can toss out a Mass Confusion, then if a third group ambushes you then you can drop a Total Domination to stop them in their tracks, last in case you missed anyone on the map you can terrify everything in front of you. The sleep and terrify recharge pretty fast that you can maintain control easily. No control can control the map like Mind, but yeah they're only good on AV's. Clearly you have little experience with Mind control or you'd never say a Mind dom is only good in AV engagements. As a rule I tend to not want to rank things I have little experience with.
  12. You get 2 hard aoe controls and 2 soft aoe controls in Mind and tons of stealthy play if that's your style. You can pick apart mobs at your leisure easily being in domination or you can drop the hammer. No other dom can boast that.
  13. Lol Mind is S tier. Plant outshines all because it's broken but Mind is just behind it.
  14. Yeah but that's a bridge easily crossed once you're there. When it gets to that part just tell everyone not to use any temps and have a few people already designated for temp duty.
  15. I put on my best duds for that DD but it seems to always pick the person wearing jeans and a t-shirt or basic tights with a fire aura. So I feel you with who should get the screen time. But I think there should be a team vote as you que up one of these things for who should get to walk the catwalk. If there's a mutiny against the leader so be it, leaders must make sacrifices, plus it'll have you want to up your costume creation game.
  16. I don't know if you can lay blame on any one specific thing. That kill window is really tight. Sometimes it could be some people not paying as close attention to the bars of all 3 AVs, sometimes its the RNG hp boost one of them randomly gets. It is a hard badge to get in all honesty, I wouldn't out and blame any one specific thing. When organizing the Magisterium I'd iterate if this is the badge your seeking the most that this is the part you highlight for people to pay attention to, the rest of the itrial is cake if you can get this one down. I'd be sure to gameplan this for everyone as you're putting together the team, keep it simple "this is the part you need to pay attention to", have fun the rest of the way. No pets, split up the teams pretty evenly, I'd even say put a smidge more damage on Chimera thanks to his teleport. Slow crawl from 5hp then to 2hp and try to burn them after you've overcome any recent sudden hp gain once they're all back down on 2hp.
  17. Holy hell is that the ancient Nosferatu texts? Before reading these remember you'll need to recite "Klaatu, Barada, Nikto" or you'll doom us all.
  18. You want a detailed list of what us villains get up to? Hmmm I'll pass along the word to Westin Phipps that you're looking for some action, he's a good guy, has some great whisky, make sure to drink your fill...
  19. I don't see these epic pools for blasters as having anything eye popping great like where some other AT's get some goodies in theirs. Blasters are already eye popping good to begin with so it's not a problem their epics are ho-hum. I typically will go with Force Mastery on some of my blasters. A few I will go with another pool like munitions, surveillance is quite great. For me some of the pools here on blasters it's more of a thematic reason to go with it. I won't go Fire though seeing how Bonfire is broken abusive. Two resist shields and pff which you can slot a lotg, decent default pool I'd say. Typically I never use the godmode though unless things are cascading out of hand which if that's the case I'd like to have a way to boost my defenses back to high levels since the reason I'd need the godmode is that my defenses got debuffed hard. Pairing high defenses with high resists is great though.
  20. That first mission of the ITF she's targetable. I've been tempted to knock her out and take those robes. That she follows along like a cat after you free her only increases my regret for not acting on my first thought.
  21. That's a more reasonable reason not to want to make use of that beautiful Golden Giza. But like you said there's already all kinds of other things in game people get lost in which takes away from the available player pool. If they can make that casino interact-ably social then why not? Maybe a Golden Giza itirial perhaps...
  22. All good. I had to reassess some of my stubborn ways after I came back, lots of changes, it's best to be fluid. I usually only team as well. What does it matter if you drop a sleet on a low level group that'll just get obliterated by someone's nuke anyways? If you can just get almost the same effect out of Dark Consumption slotted with that -res proc as Sleet but then it also does moderate damage and by the way fills your endo back up then you can follow that up with a Soul Drain and Dark Obliteration to spike all that extra aoe damage then get a buff that'll carry you to the next group how isn't that great for your team? You should see how my animal of a Mind/Nrg/Soul doms plays some time. You go worship your ice cubes I'll be over here letting the souls of my enemies power me. 😜
  23. Why spec just for teamming when you can do everything Ice Mastery can do and better in Soul Mastery? All that aoe damage plus slotting the pvp -res proc to fire is far more effective in speed runs, hard runs, solo, wherever you want to play. See, why skip such a nice resist shield in your epic when it can act in lieu of one of your inspirations? So instead of 2 or 3 purple/oranges you now can use just 1 for the same survivability so then you can skimp on those defensive ones and bring a bunch of reds or greens if you need heals. Plus then you're missing out on the bonuses/uniques that are great to slot into these things. Maybe it's me but I see no reason to skip an Epic shield that is easily offered up to you. I appreciate the difference of opinion but I don't see Ice to be the beauty that you think it is.
  24. Well. Soul Mastery nets you Soul Drain which boosts your damage 100% and tohitt 30%, lasts for 30s and the attack also does good damage on its own. Surely that compensates for the 17% -res to +4 groups you are fighting. Then you get Dark Obliteration which is quite a nice blast at 16 targets, does decent damage and provides -tohitt all packed in a 1s animation. The resist shield is fantastic it nets you S/L/Neg/Tox resist, better than that ice shield. The icing on the cake is Dark Consumption. It's an emergency endurance refill, provides yet more pbaoe damage for you and you are also able to slot the pvp -res proc into it which it'll sure fire for the same affect as your Sleet. Not to mention the pet is quite good damage as well. Soul is all full of win, Ice Mastery is a one trick pony.
  25. Gambling is not illegal in most places in the US. It's illegal for minors because we'd rather give kids a chance to form their foundation first before we throw them at the wolves. If EA can get away with charging kids cold hard cash for lootboxes in FIFA and Madden what moral grandstanding is there to be had with all imaginary values? Mind you I'm all for these gaming companies having their predatory practices reigned in. If there's not one cent exchanging hands on this game how does your reference to Gambling apply in this instance as @Ukase is trying to make sense of your logic?
