The things that happen when you don't get the name you wanted.

Get an idea for a villain named "White Devil". Unavailable.

Notice that sentinels can take Storm Blast now, and that set includes a "Hailstones" power.

So, in keeping with the devil theme, try the name "Hail Satan". Unavailable. *sigh*

End up with "Hail Czar" (Storm Blast/Electric Armor sentinel):

Where did all those costume pieces come from?

Photoshoped with some AI improvs. The part of his neck was a bit blur, so I got a part from a random cyborg I found on google images.

I have a question, probably without an answer. Does anyone here know a trick for dealing with hidden colors? I mean the colors that are not controlled by the first-second color boxes of a piece. For example, the Cosmic Corsair belts with the tail on, the interior of the Sybil, the Cyborg mask from Detail 1 and so on. Newbies to costume-making won't know and old hands will know all too well that those pieces have parts that can't be recolored manually. The only way I know to change one of them is to link the costume colors again, as in the start, and then those parts get dyed together with all the rest. Afterwards, unlinked, one goes back to restoring the coloration in other parts of the costume, one by one. This will require a copy of the costume to load and consult from time to time, if it is a complicated outfit. This way the inaccessible colors (that are a bug, one I have reported to Homecoming early this year, and as usual they ignored it) can be changed, but if there is more than one piece that involves them and the hidden colors are to be different in them, e. g. the costume uses both Cyborg and Corsair, one is screwed. Has anyone discovered a secret Shao-Lin technique of changing those colors?

Santa Con

Can't find it now, but I saw a photo of somebody's Thanksgiving lawn decoration. It was an inflatable Santa lying on its side, with an inflatable turkey sitting on it and holding a sign that read, "Wait your turn, fat man!"

Use the "link colors" option to set those parts to what you want, then uncheck the box and color the other areas as normal.

EDIT:  I saw you already know about this trick.  Besides that, I don't know of any other method, sorry...

The linking of colors is the only way I know of to circumvent this issue. And you can avoid having to redo every costume piece if you know that you want to use one of those bugged pieces and setting that piece first while the colors are linked, and then unlink the colors and create your desired costume.

+1 I feel you on this. It's quite an annoyance for example that Tech Knight belt with the cloth, however for other special pieces that has extra interior colors, like the Bolero or Sybil, they have a special extra tab that shows up on the right in place of the skin color swatch tab, so hopefully the belt can be given that option in the future as well to bring it in parity without needing the janky workaround 😕 I had a theory for slightly less obnoxious workaround but just debunked it, fiddled around a bit to see if defining any of those other pieces that have that option transfers to the interior belt cloth but alas--no dice

I could be wrong, but I believe that the bolero & sybil outfit take up the extra cape and belt slots to allow for that - it may be that there are only so many "sections" that a costume can have...

I think you're right. And it'd be great to be able to combine more things together of course, but that's really not what I was getting at in referencing them; it's that there's tech in place for certain pieces to use that tab when necessary, and if that could be implemented on that belt--so long as you weren't trying to use a piece that was like Sybil or Bolero types of special--it would just activate that extra color tab when you have the belt section highlighted.

Well, here's the problem - IIRC, they'd need to make a special category for "belts with cloth bits", then, upon selecting it, it'd disable the cape/back option, since the interior would use up that slot...

I love the combination of pieces you used for this and I may be shamelessly ripping off of it in the future, lol.

Sonic/Dark blaster Banshee-Man, his first costume was alright but something felt off about it. Decided to make a new one and got this. Really happy with how it turned out.

An extraordinary posting of a character.

Profile. I couldn't quite make a beak from the nose, but it is long and protruding.

Later I added a "Phoenix tail." This is she landing on the stairs, one:

A frontal view. The small double hooks for hands would be truer to the idea, but the large sickles are deadlier for the reaping that she (it) does.

P. S. My inspiration in the beginning was the Copper-Leaf Angel from Magic: the Gathering (https://assets.echomtg.com/magic/cards/cropped/6902.hq.jpg), but I had to make do with the available costume pieces, all of which are crude and rough, and eventually the poise and intelligence gave way to something completely different. How COULD one express sophistication in this game? And yet other games and other character makers, as far as I know, are even worse.
