Six-Six
Would it be possible to set up PvP as an instanced map similar to mission maps. This way a group (min of 2, of course) can have an instance separate from another group. such an instance would make PvP a closed game between groups who can only enter via invitation, similar to Task/Strike Forces... like a Laser Tag game. I suppose it will be similar to a Gladiator match, minus the gladiators. Disclaimer: I don't currently play nor have I ever played PvP other than an empty Recluse's Victory or to get badges from an equally empty Warburg. A friend of mine and I were recently chewing the fat, and we thought it held enough water to be suggested. =) My Toons
macskull
The arena interface allows pretty much exactly what you're looking for. You can go to an arena in-game (Peregrine Island, Pocket D, St. Martial, or Port Oakes) or use /arenalist from anywhere. Six-Six
Yes, but aren't you confined to the Arena? (sorry for my newbish ignorance) I was thinking more of a "controlled" or invitation-only Recluse's Victory or Warburg game 2 My Toons

TraumaTrain
I always thought there should be a level 15 or 20 PvP zone that is basically the inside of a multi-floor office building. Red-siders could enter through the sewers while blue-siders coukd enter through roof access via a helicopter drop. The ground floor is occupied by Arachnos and has NPCs, medical, and such. The top floor is a Longbow bastion. There are four or five floors in between as the free-fire zone. Each floor could have "capture points" that can be temporarily occupied like in capture-the-flag scenarios.
Six-Six
@skorry I think the infrastructure is already there (but don't take my word for it, I know nothing of game development). It's like when you enter a mission or TF, several people/teams can be doing the same mission/TF at the same exact time, but in a different instance of the map. @TraumaTrain this too already exists, but IMHO is under utilised. PvP maps scale you down to certain levels so that no OP toon will grief other playershttps://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/PvP_Zones Edited July 28, 2020 by Six Six My Toons

There's also a camera drone for viewing by non-combatants... I think I'm remembering correctly. Have not done arena in some time.
