Tanker "Tuesday" Tour, on Reunion, on a Saturday...

Good turnout and fun on Reunion today. We started the new themed toons (Bio/* if you want to get in on it). Thanks for leading team 2 Ronin. My team got through Posi 1, I think Ronin's got through Posi 2. We're back here on 3/16.

 

 

2/20 we're back on Everlasting. Meet in King's at 6:00 PM PDT/9PM EDT.

Great fun!  I had to drop before Posi (but thanks for all the other leading @Ronin_Around).  Picked up Posi1, today, so are we good for Posi2 or should we wait for Everlasting on the next Reunion event?

My team got through Posi 1, so we still need Posi 2. Ideally we'd run that at the next Reunion TT. But, if you don't want to wait, I think Ronin's team completed Posi 2 and would be on to the next set of challenges (maybe Synapse) for those in range.

My team only got through Posi1 as well before I had to leave, so Posi2 and Syn can be on the agenda for next month. Everyone should be in range for those.

Just bumping this thread to remind everyone that we're back on Reunion this Saturday (3/16). Meet in King's Row by IP gate at 9:30AM PDT. We'll be picking up where we left off on the new round of Tanks, so Posi 2, and whatever else people are in range for.

Fun times on Reunion this morning. We had a team of 6 vet Tankers leveling up our Bio/*'s. Much mayhem and herding was had. Ronin cornered two Palis for us and we managed to take down one with Tanks alone in 20 mins, before sharing the 2nd with the server. After that we finished up Posi 2 and ran missions to get us to the Talos Bank temp power. Next month we'll be running the bank, then Synapse. See you back here on 4/13!

I'm bumping this thread to two reasons, 1) to acknowledge that I can't read a calendar (the next TT here will be on the 20th, NOT the 13th), and 2) to find out where everyone is at with their Bio/* pairing. Does everyone have Synapse done? If not, we should plan on running it on the 20th.

I've only run mine with the group so far, so I was assuming the plan is still Talos bank + Synapse... but I can do whatever.

Yes, the plan was to run the 20-24 Safeguard (Protect Steel Canyon bank) for the Summon Teammates (Group Recall) temp power and then the Synapse TF.

Depending on how it goes we may be able to get the 25-29 Safeguard to Protect Independence Port done as well.

Good fun today on Reunion, only three of the usual groups plus a local that joined us for Synapse TF, run at 8 +0, completed in 1:19:34. We were few, but mighty!

 

Next month we'll continue with our Bio/* toons running both Yin and Cit.

 

We'll be back May 18th. See you then!

A good run on Reunion today. We started with two teams running Yin TFs led by MsA and Warboss.

MsA then took us through Lars Hansen's arc to unlock Hess for all of us and we merged up to finish the day with a speedy 8 tank Hess TF.

Much fun, leveling, bozo trashing and FREEMing ensued.

 

June 15th will mark our return to Reunion with Citadel's TF in the queue.

This thread has the most serious Tankers i know.  
 

Someone told me they have a Fire Tank with very high resists (80% energy res the lowest, high defenses…softcap zip code, and near max health…..).  Just from the build stone cold. Is this possible or not?

@Sovera has a couple builds that would fit that bill...but I don't see Toxic and Psionic over 80%Res, without RoP or Incarnates.

Kinda. Impossible to be at health cap with a Fire Armor since we don't have a big HP buff like Invuln or Stone has. Only the small passive from Consume but at best 2.9k (2.6k without) but the cap is 3.4k. The rest like Energy resists (of course, 90% to most except psi 25-30% and Toxic at near 50% by stacking Healing Flames), defenses (Martial Arts version with 45% to melee/ranged/AoE or any other secondary and just 45% to S/L).

Did you ask to see the build/toon in action? If you ever get it, post it, I'd love to see FA with those kinds of numbers.

A small but mighty team of 5 tankers pounded through a Citadel TF on Reunion today. The Council was thoroughly thrashed and a good time was had.

 

July 20th should be the next run here, where we will be running the Manticore TF.

A good time was had on Reunion today with 7 Tankers running through a Numina TF.

This completed the Task Force Commander Accolade for a few of us and got 2 of the Bio/* tanks to 50. (@MsAligned with Easy Bake and me with Smoked Brisket)

The next TT on Reunion will be on Saturday September 21st, 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET. Open to suggestions on what we tackle next.

Sorry I couldn't make it, but something came up. I think my next pairing was going to be Ice/Rad (currently working on one, slowly, on Torch-not sure I'd recommend it...). But, I would like to put forth Ice/Axe or Ice/Dark as the next sets.

I think it worked out well to leave the choice of secondary open.  Gives us a little variety on the team.  I think an all Ice Armor team would be interesting.  That would be a LOT of slow debuff when we're together.

 

Maybe next time I'll set a calendar reminder or something.

True, but my thinking with Ice/Rad was to get all the auras cooking together. But I think the End drain is too high while leveling Ice/Raders (unless you start IOing very early). That said, Ice/Axe would be fun due the "drawing in" of Axe Cycle (jumping herds, "room vortex") are just a few I can think of. Ice/Dark would add back the AoE madness somewhat like my goal for Ice/Rad. We'll let the group decide. Not sure if I'll be able to make the kickoff or many TTs for a bit. So go with whatever feels right.

Just checking what the plan might be for Saturday.  If we're still on Bio tankers and wanting to do something 50ish, I'll have to bring a substitute.  I've missed too many of these to keep up with my Bio.

I think most of the BIo tanks are in a similar situation, so it will be up for discussion for what people want to do.

If everyone is over 35, an ITF could still be done.

Unfortunately, I have a family commitment this weekend and will not be able to join in on this Reunion TT.

This weekend's Tanker Tuesday Tour was a trio of tankers who tore through three tricky tip tasks.  Tremendous!   Thanks to PapaSlade and MsAligned from yours truly.  It was a treat.
