Hunting Toxic Tarantulas

Looking for help on these critters.  I am so close to finishing my pre-50 solo redside project.

 

But I need 50 Toxic Tarantulas to open Number 204 contact in GV.

 

Someone suggested I farm MLTF 1st mission, but that is 45+  and i have to stay 44- for just a while longer.  I have found a couple spawn points in GV.  I have 7.  After....a seemingly long bit or trouble.

 

Any suggestions would be great.  Thank you.

I usually hunt up in the tangle in GV, also RV and Sirens.

Yeah, it's a right pain in the rear, but I would often circle around the towers and webbing of Grandeville near the central tower.   Took me a whole afternoon to hunt them down.

Really, the badge requirements need a good, hard looking at, as far as I'm concerned.  They're a neat mechanic, but having to grind the Defeat Badges out, rather than earning them through regular play really puts a damper on the whole thing.

Those are Rogue Arachnos, and don't count last I checked.

i heard the pvp zones did not count.  i have hung out in GV.  at 40.  taking a break for a leg workout.  why did i buy a squat rack again lol?

There are roller doors in the midlevel sections of Grandville, NW of the main plaza area that Toxic Tarantulas spawn from.  I just did loops of the area when I got the badge on live.

 

I've not been insane enough to do any of that sort of tedious badging on HC.

Back on Live I used to hunt them in the Arachnos area of the RWZ.  Once you find the spawn points you can just do circuits and pick them off.
