Level 50 Goldsiders. Sound off!

Just trying to see how many of us are out there. I mean Praetorians who have never crossed over to Primal Earth but still made it to incarnate level. There's a bunch of us on Reunion, aided by the fact we have an SG dedicated to Praetorian origin characters. So I regularly get to use the sweet gold trim team transporter!

Are you able to get the accolades - Atlas Medallion/Marshal, TFC/Invader, Portal Jockey/Born in Battle, Freedom Phalanx/High Pain Threshold, etc? 

I'm thinking no. Wonder if the HC devs could do something about that.

There should be some workaround really, like the Invader badge you get via Mayhem missions, as you mentioned @Ukase.

I know we have Athanasia (and I'm not online at the moment but Officer Visard was near to Praetor level when I went away for Christmas), there's also Tankster and Pax. And more on the way.

Btw, brought in another global friend into the fold. @Yar. His toon name escapes me atm. And I bumped into a MAVLE while I was online a while ago. I tried running your AE arc, but internet wasn't cooperative. I'll try again later 😃  Already looking ahead to which of my Loyalists I'll play next when Dank gets promoted to Praetor.

When my connection's dodgy, I sit in Character Creator and cough up new toons. Not all of them make the cut after a test drive. Nonetheless, I now have 11 new Resistance toons (I know, it's a bit hard for someone with Loyalist blood flowing in his circuits). But the lore is just so rich. I'm even thinking of trying the base editor again to create a more rustic bare-bones encampment for them, something along the lines of aStar Wars rebel base on a cliff side... something 😃

Well I'm an idiot! Those two are hell of a lot of fun to team with!

One of the tankers "Smashing Beauty" got to 50 without  leaving Gold side. She left gold side at 50 to travel to PD to try and get on a itrail, but I found that this can't be done. So I had to change her to a Hero. The good news (I found out) is that with the (non-cull) alignment change after Gold side all of you badge names stray the same. So she still have the original Gold-side badges and titles that come with them.

Unfortunately for her it CAN be done because I've done itrials in PD, plus Cathedral of Pain. My issue with the itrials is persuading enough other players to start there.

It IS nice that you keep your origin badge set, but unfortunately your former contacts no longer recognise you.

I have a very low level stalker that I want to try to take to 50 on Everlasting, but I'm presently distracted with other things.

I have a sweeper on goldside right now.  She focuses on the defeat badges to guide her to where to clean up.  Is there a way, having no contacts and no missions (unless she teams) to remain goldside to 50?

 

Also, unless I am mistaken (because .. so many alts!) she also doesnt use XP booster.

Yep. But it's teaming! So... depending on your level remember to cross to First Ward via Imperial Underground, should have a bunch more defeat badges there. You can take part in the Summer Block Buster from 15 on.  Not advisable if you were following contacts and arcs. Plus in to PD to farm out the Snaptooth mission and Lady Winter.

Getting in on a Seed of Hamidon raid would also help. Two badges there, for seedlings and the Seed itself, plus a nice 30 minutes long bonus once you take the Seed down. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Devourer

The only real issue is idiots complaining that they get kicked from a team/league if they take a shortcut through a non coop zone. Apparently it's always the Praetorian's fault...despite the fact we can only operate IN Praetoria and Pocket D (plus extensions) and therefore we're the ones on home turf!

Adding more info:

Another way is via Pillar of Ice and Flame in your SG. You could replay your missions until you hit 50. A problem with this approach is you may need to play all previous story arcs at least twice before you reach level 50. 

You could also sweep Night Ward (thank you for your service, citizen), but your progress would slow down after Lv 39.

Finally, you could play repetitive, mind-numbing XP farms in AE. 

In my opinion, the enemy that keeps you from hitting level 50 is boredom.

The low level took my by surprise, had to do a quick respec to have the powers I need at 14. Also I had it set to +1x4. Had to do-over the first mish after being welcomed by a tunnel-full of resistance. Enjoying it so far, but can't focus on it  as RL gets in the way.

No! LOL. That's Remote-Control Man's AE. One of the few (perhaps only true one so far) Gold only AEs.
