Mezmera Posted September 2, 2021 Share Posted September 2, 2021 I haven't played an Invuln tank since live but on my stalker all of the resists I 4 slot each one with Unbreakable Guards for that melee defense bonus. Dull Pain can go a couple ways but I have a full set of Numina. Biff Pow Posted September 3, 2021 Share Posted September 3, 2021 I go for a lot of Energy/Neg. Energy and Psi resistance because S/L and Fire/Cold are really easy to come by from offensive sets. So Unbreakable Guard, Impervium Armor in the resists, Shield Wall in the defense powers. Not slotting Dull Pain might seem weird but honestly I barely use it. (One IO missing here is the Reactive Defenses: Scaling Resists, because I have it in Combat Jumping.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(except for the global) My Inv uses Resist Physical Damage as a mule for for Steadfast Protection and Impervium Armor. If I has a third slot it would probably just be Endurance reduction. Inv goes way past the S/L cap without extra slotting. (Edit: I forgot this was an auto power! LOL!) I suppose you could worry about debuffs, but Inv has other tools like Dull Pain and the Scaling Damage Resistance piece from Reactive Defenses. I've been experimenting with the Kismet +Accuracy (really to Hit) in Invincibility, but per my testing it appears to be doing nothing without an enemy nearby. I have Dull Pain 6-slotted with Preventive Medicine. I keep the Gaussian's %Build Up piece in Build Up (6-slotted) specifically so that I have the boost when I want it... often I find myself 1-on-1 against something like a MoG PP and I would rather have it on demand... YMMV of course, I realize why others keep it in auras. I used to take Unstoppable as a mule (as shown above) but I found it easier to re-jigger my build to not have to burn a power. I used to mule Gladiator's Armor in Resist Physical Damage (see rationale above) but 3-slotted it in Resist Energies instead. Pep Rally Posted September 4, 2021 Share Posted September 4, 2021 I like to 6 slot all my attacks, and dull pain, and look for the set bonuses from those. That way I max out their ACC, RECH, END REDUX, and DMG while improving my defense. Toggles really only need 4 slots (Def, Def/End, Def/Rech, and Def/End/Rech) to hit the 60% max enhancement for Def/Resist. Sub in Res for Def for Resist Toggles. You can add more later if you have extra slots. If I don't have the Influence for Resist, or Defense IOs, I just go with 1 END Redux, and 3 RES/DEF SOs until I can afford them. You can get by with 2 lvl 50 common IOs in passives if you are really running low on slots after slotting all of the above. Any slots left can be used to squeeze in the 2 resist, and 2 def procs, and then try to squueze out more set bonuses by adding to toggles, and passives. In the end, I did end up with 6 slots in a couple toggles to get some more set bonuses, but not until my attacks were fully slotted.
