Uun Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I have an Illusion/Poison controller. I pretty much keep Venemous Gas (15 foot PBAoE) running all the time. I'm constantly forgetting to turn it off when I use Superior Invisibility and unintentionally break stealth as it aggroes mobs as I walk past them. Last year, blaster PBAoE toggles (Reaction Time, Dynamo, Cauterizing Aura, Frigid Protection) received the following change: "If you are concealed (from Stealth or a similar power) this power will not impact foes unless you are in combat (it will no longer accidentally break stealth)." These powers include both debuff and damage auras. Suggest that defender/controller/corruptor/dominator PBAoE debuff toggles (Entangling Aura, Venemous Gas, Choking Cloud, Time's Juncture, Arctic Air, Hot Feet, Mud Pots) get the same treatment. Don't think Hurricane should also be included as that shouldn't be kept running full time. Similar to the blaster toggles, if you use another power that impacts a foe or click a glowie, the stealth would suppress and the powers would work normally. 1 Uuniverse
Bopper Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 The reason for why those blaster powers got that treatment is because they are also the sustain powers. In this case, the solution should be to turn off the power if you don't want it to aggro. 1 1 PPM Information Guide Survivability Tool Interface DoT Procs Guide Time Manipulation Guide Bopper Builds +HP/+Regen Proc Cheat Sheet Super Pack Drop Percentages Recharge Guide Base Empowerment: Temp Powers Bopper's Tools & Formulas Mids' Reborn
Uun Posted September 26, 2021 Author Posted September 26, 2021 I understand why the blaster powers got the change, but it made me realize that the current behavior is illogical. If you turn on a stealth power, presumably you don't want to aggro foes. Having aggroing toggles suppress when stealth is activated is the logical result. 1 Uuniverse
Apparition Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 There's a P2W power called "Only Self Only" or something under Utility. It pretty much does what you're asking for. Use it before you want to stealth, and you keep your power but it doesn't aggro anything. I have it on characters with Shadow Fall so I can just use that when escorting NPCs instead of turning Shadow Fall off, my Brutes, and my Dual Pistols/Sonic Manipulation Blaster.
Aurora_Girl Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Inherent in rolling Illusion/anything with an enemy-affecting or otherwise conflicting toggle. My Ill/Dark doesn't have Superior Invis specifically because of Shadow Fall. @Aurora Girl - Excelsior - BSOD Aurora Girl (Blaster)- Energy/Atomic, Queen of Faceplants and former Mayor of Pinnacle Server Straye (Brute)- Savage/SR, Survivor of +4 ITF Nictus Crystals and Bobcat's Bane Aurora Snow (Corruptor) - Ice/Cold, AV Humiliator Terraflux (Controller) - Earth/Rad, Bass Exploder Spynerette (Arachnos Soldier) - Night Widow, Super Spy of Sneakiness and Stabbing Snowberrie (Tank) - Ice/Spines, Disco Ball and Lady of Winter

If I’m running a stealth power it’s first and foremost because I want run speed or defense 🙂 If I Super Speed into a mob, I still want my damage aura to aggro them. You can just detoggle yours if you don’t want the same. Edited September 26, 2021 by arcane 1 1
